You are speculating. If Bitfury's next chip design is not compatible with the chained design of the existing chips, then it's not going to work chips/cards/minit planes etc. How about wait until Bitfury actually announce a new chip design before continuing with this type of discussion?
It's not entirely unreasonable.He wants to know if he will be able to upgrade his existing miner with new daughterboards.
It's quite possible this could be the case if Bitfury uses the same hardware interface (pinouts), even if the chips are designed to work completely different.
You are of course right that there cannot be any guarantee of this at this time unless Bitfury himself commits to a future interface.
@erk: yes, i'm speculating. but i think it's normal since this is the only mining rig with a very modular capability (it work like a usb hub, no? *cmiiw*). so yeah.. indeed i am.

so, let say BF released new chips that aren't compatible with the current design of the PCB so you have to create a new one. would it be still compatible with the miniplane? i meant tandem using miniplane with current design.
say i bought two board of current design and maybe later there will be new design and i bought 2 of them and using the old miniplane. is it possible? i'm asking because based on your philosophy, nothing wasted.. right?
anyway, planning to buy 2 boards (i get the miniplane free, right?) by end of october so i guess i will be in 2nd batch.
one more thing, could i just send you the money using moneygram or western union?

just wanna ask since i got this fpga for free (my friends bought it and decide not use it for whatever reason), could i use this for BTC mining?

Prepayment is the only method by which your preorder is entered into the queue.
We are working to start shipping in the next couple weeks and have a backlog in the queue,
so new pre-orders, regardless of product or power consumption,
will likely ship sometime in August, sooner if possible.
We ship in strict order of payment date with absolutely no way to move ahead in the queue.

I helped my brother out by finding the info for him. Had to actually use teamviewer and use his terminal too. But that guide works well for macs.
