Re: Possibly scam with blockchain.info wallet?!

Yep I recently saw a slew of them on Facebook. I googled them to find the scam but couldn't. They are all claiming to offer phenomenal daily returns using the fast S9 Antminer. Most of them are obvious asking you for the password as in this case however the one that got my attention created the wallet for me on blockchain.info. But then I realized he will still access to the wallet since he created it. He is patiently waiting for to add funds to the wallet to get the process started.

Lol what an absurd way of scamming people.

First, There is no guarantee that he has an Antminer S9
Second, You can use whatever address in mining and there is no need for you to sync it as mentioned by carlfebz2 or any authorization to be done before you can use it.
Third, The rule of the thumb applies: If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
Fourth, I wouldn't ever trust my money with a stranger over the internet  Cry

He's now saying he would need email verification to recover the wallet using the backup phrase. Is this true? Or email verification is not needed?

I haven't tried recovering my wallet using this tool: https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/recover but well the purpose of your seed is to recover your funds even if you lose everything and not to mention, you can import it on a different wallet without email verifications of course e.g. electrum

Is that guy asking for your email? Then he's probably nervous that you won't ever fund the wallet so he'll just ask for your email to reset every password of your valueable accounts. But vven if its just asking you to click and authorize something, it's still fishy so NO

Anyways, Don't ever fund the wallet and don't give any sensitive information. Lastly, Block him  Cheesy

Correct and correct. I will block him. There are so many out there.

The local service here has the aspect of a wallet so there is a potential for it to be hacked.

Thank you all for your discussion. I understand that the framework cannot be hacked however personal interaction can compromise security. I was asking for a friend who has to clarify where he got the news. His wording made it seem as if it was not a service provider.

I will check back...

I have some questions about this hot offer and website in general.

This would be really great for everyone however I have noticed there are some restrictions (country's periodic) when dealing with a Bitcoin prepaid card. I have noticed with some of the popular sites not everyone (that is not every country) is allower to purchase BTC with a credit card. I may wrong on this but my main question is are country restrictions to use CryptoPay?

I'll await your answer on this one before proceeding.

Re: List of bitcoin debit cards

I have a few general comments to make about your list. I have a GoldMoney account and recently I started this search of finding a way to "cash out" my BTC and came across CryptoPay. So I remember that I had a couple of debit-visa/mastercard already and was checking the possibility of loading them with BTC.

When I checked my GoldMoney account I realize that they only allow online spending and cannot withdraw to the physical mastercard.

I also have a Neteller and Skrill account. I have a physical visa from Neteller but they recently changed some terms and rendered my card inoperable. I too was exploring the possibility of loading with BTC there. I saw that you have made some comment about this earlier.

But I am really interested in hearing what is the most recommended card in this list. I am wondering what is the general feedback about CryptoPay. Also a basic comparison of CryptoPay vs. the card you promote in your OP.

I like this promo and I am a new member of BTCtalk but I want to ask the many persons here who have taken advantage of the promo of their experience from receiving the card to using the card.

I will have more questions so I await some much need answers.
