I'd like to work through OTC. Contact me on the OTC IRC or here through PM.
We'll have to talk a little about why you want the invite first!

I don't know about that. Block chains are huge over time. Like, way more than tor can move unless you run a node.

I would not recommend trying to do this.
1.) It doesn't anonymize you any more than you already are (bitcoin is already anonymous and decentralized)
2.) Bitcoin client is essentially a torrent client. You are not supposed to run this on tor--it harms anonymity and puts undue stress on the network.
3.) Using tor browsing is safe enough--your goings on will not be tracked. If you're worried about it, use something like instawallet.

How horrible.
It's unacceptable for them to not have just reversed the transfer after such a long time.

The only way bitcoin loans work are if they happen within a closed community. I've loaned significant sums before, but only to those I have extremely high confidence in--and who also would lose if they were 'blacklisted.'
It's the wild-west. The only 'laws' that exist are the ones you, as a lender, can enforce.
We're in knee of the curve in computing power doubling, hence Bitcoin, Siri, Watson winning at Jeopardy, etc. Expect lots more disruption in the years ahead.
Actually, that's the neat thing about exponential curves--you're always in the knee of the curve depending on your perspective!

http://www.freedigitalmoney.com/en/Bitcoins seems to use the same ad interface. I did two surveys using bogus info during lunch just to see if it was legitimate (My time is more valuable than this, lol.) I received 0.11 bitcoins for one, and 0.14 for another within about 15 minutes for one and about an hour for another. I bet you it's the ad companies that cause this difference.

I wonder if he'll ever become more public about his identity. Certainly, at the very least, he's a funny guy.
