I actually opted to buy some EXP instead of ETH thinking the rise % would be higher. Didn't pan out I suppose.

What's up with Bit-X Volume

A quick look at coinmarketcap.com and bitcoinity today showed me that Bit-X has more volume than any other USD exchange BY FAR. Before today Bit-X was hardly on my radar.

How is this happening?

This is not counting trades with 0% fee.

Can't find much info on it. It seems all the volume is on chinese exchanges in CNY. Would appreciate an explanation.

as long as the Gox premium exists, it's an indication that fresh money is not coming in much since new money would obviously go to the other exchanges.

Bitcoin will never stand on its own. There can and will be many other competing cryptocurrencies. In any one cryptocurrency there can be a small number of large owners. However across many cryptocurrencies the value is much more spread out.

Something a lot of people don't realize... is coins that have been pumped and dumped in the past still have a chance of succeeding. Even bitcoin has been subjected to pump and dump.

That's not strange, its just they didn't know if it would happen until it happened. when they knew they bought. Before then they were trepidatious.
