⭐ Merited by OgNasty (1)
It would be really nice to see some images of the things people are collecting as
Kazkaz27 posted.

Some really interesting and different stuff being collected that I wouldnt have known
about, like bitbollo's Pharmaceutical and Medical Historical stuffs, I just cant
visualise those and CARIBBEAN_TREASURES Ancient Clay Tablets - they have to be ancient?

Yea as others have mentioned I would class a gambler as professional  when
it is their only or main source of income and that they are making a living and or profiting
from that.

Re: Chances to buy Bitcoin back
by
aoluain
on 23/07/2025, 13:21:55 UTC
Hi all

Looks like a short term draw back is in order for BTC.
I am thinking of selling to then buy back.
I am reluctant to do that, to be honest, before asking knowledgeable people about whether there still be Bitcoin waiting to be bought by me in next correction? I mean BTC availability due to its growing scarcity.
(Considering the volumes in which Black Rock, Michael Saylor and other big players are gobbling down BTC...)

Your thoughts please

It can be a very smart move but don’t do it yet. Bitcoin is still at least 30% from its cycle top, I think. So sell maybe once we go over $140,000. It will probably go higher but I think that’s a good point to start DCA out. Then you can buy back cheaper in the bear market. Be aware of capital gains taxes if applicable in your country.

This is what I am thinking also.

We are close to a cycle top based on previous Bitcoin cycles so trying to take profits
now might be a little pre-mature.

Re: Tennis League All Thread

Finally Bublik has been able to collect another tournament. he is a strong player with an unique tennis style but I think he is lack of consistency (and the "close to easy" win against Sinner was an hint).

Meanwhile we have another Italians entering in top places, thanks to Luciano Darderi (able to beat Baez and Cerundolo...)

Sinner will not join Toronto! He is not ready and he will have more holidays!

It's about time. Somehow I really like Bublik. His aggressive but sometimes unorthodox style definitely is entertaining. But yeah, his inconsistency sometimes really is worrying. Don't know what his deal is. Right now he is only 30th in the ATP ranking, guess after that win in Gstaad he will climb a bit (unless it7s already updated). Anyway, 30th is not we is capable of, should be top 15 at least. Since he is only 28 years old he should have enough gas in the tank to move some steps forward and challenge the big boys.

Bublik is super talented and has struggled with mental health in the past.

He gave an interview a few weeks ago at Roland Garros after beating Jack
Draper in which he said Tennis is 50% of his life, he has the other half for family
and friends. He also said he puts his health above Tennis.

Its a very interesting and down to earth interview > https://youtu.be/rCOsF5Nj7XU?feature=shared

I got to see a match between Shevchenko and Bublik today at the Swiss open.
Bublik looks to be in good form and is through to the quarter finals against Comesana?
He could be worth considering betting on

And he was definitely worth betting on because he won the tournament in Gstaad,
Switzerland against Cerundolo in 3 sets.

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by
aoluain
on 20/07/2025, 22:04:49 UTC
I forget about a lost bet within an hour, I would like to say within a minute but its
difficult to let it go so quickly. I dont beat myself up about those losses but they
.come into my mind every so often but within an hour I have put them to rest.

I think its healthy to do have an approach to losses like this otherwise it can lead
to bad habits of trying to make those losses back again. Thats the way I think
about it.

About the Panthers - yea a very risky game play for sure but it would be something
if they actually went and won the title - again - they are in 6th spot now after this
weeks round.

My bet on Storm lost as they lost by 2 points, I think they were chasing the game
from the start, I saw the score at half time and they were trailing.

Lions tour - as expected a Lions win. I was hoping to get to see it but I was driving
when it was on and no radio commentary either!

Do you allow yourself to bet on ridiculous things?

Absolutely never - the clue is in the question "ridiculous" and in the thread title
"impossible". They are impossible for a reason or maybe they could be classed as a "rarity"

Re: Up BTC
by
aoluain
on 19/07/2025, 10:48:06 UTC
Whoever is pumping BTC is doing a great job, I've patiently waiting for $105k to close my long position, told a few of my friends and they thought I was crazy that it couldn't happen and I said don't say I didn't tell you, today my phone keeps ringing like I owe them money and they keep asking can they buy now I just laugh and said at your own risk.

Do you think we will see 200k by the end of this year?

Couple of things with this post....

There isnt one entity pumping, the market is reacting to how everybody is interacting
with Bitcoin, buy/sell/trade/consolidate.

I hope the OP HOLD'ed a little longer for the $120+k ATH instead of terminating the
long at $105k?

$200k for me at this stage in the year is a bit of a long shot but yea anything
is possible as we have seen in the last week.

Re: Trump to approve crypto investment for Retirement Accounts
by
aoluain
on 19/07/2025, 08:02:22 UTC
This sounds like a very viable approach for retirement accounts. We know with a fair
degree of certainty that Bitcoin is an exceptional financial vehicle for the long term
so that and a retirement fund of some sort really go hand in hand.

For me knowing about Bitcoin, If I was to approach an advisor on a retirement
or pension plan and they werent factoring Bitcoin into their basket of investments
I would not be dealing with them
