eXtremal maybe these is a way to make even less CPU usage for nvidia cuda miner? 6*1070 make 99% load on celeron G1840 and make less CPD than on i5

I know you are asking eXtremal but have you tried setting cpuload = "0" in config.txt?

I think Poloniex is probably the most popular exchange that has XPM listed. Earlier today it suddenly froze all legacy accounts and required them to verify their identities. This is not the real issue though. The real issue is that even the verification is done, my account is still frozen and I have seen many people saying the same thing in forums.

Does anyone experience the same thing?

Do you know any other (good) exchange for XPM?

I know this is just cosmetic "bug" but I catch it at first few minutes of mining

(ST/INV/DUP): 1265x 7ch(19/4/4) 159x 8ch(5/2/0) 21x 9ch(1/0/0)

I assume that first is 7 ch type 1 second is 7-ch type2 and third is 7 ch type 3
And since it is 1265x of 7 type it cannot be only 19 of type1  etc etc

I am quite sure those are not the corresponding numbers of chain types but are invalid or stale shares etc.
I don't remember which number is invalid or stale but I think that is not that important here.

UPDATE: Oh, actually it is in the front (ST/INV/DUP)... should be Stale/Invalid/Duplicated

just to save ur asses from gettin rekt .. the reason primecoin is pumping is because rhett creighton (zclassic/bitcoin private) announced he was going to do another pump n dump -- Bitcoin Prime which will be forked off primecoin ,.. so watch his twitter plus the new bitcoin prime new twitter page.. as soon as it forks dump primecoin, because everybodys gonna dump after it forks for Bitcoin prime.. he did with bitcoin private.. went to 50$ and dumped .. so hes off the team now, and now decided to do another coin. Wink

I agree that the 4 fold jumping in price was surely due to BTC Prime announcement but there is something not making perfect sense.

I have been mining Primecoin (intermittently depending on profit) since mad had created the miner and merged with eXtremal's because it was the only coin that is still profitable with those older cards even till early 2018. But Primecoin's mining difficulty got pass 11 in Mar and old cards will not get any profit at all, so these must be new miners. Even if someone wants to get XPM for price speculation, there is no need (and too inefficient) to join the mining as one can just simply buy from the exchange.

So attention to XPM was already started in Mar well before Rhett's announcement. Of course it can be simply two quite independent events. Miners switched to XPM  in Mar might simply due to be being more profitable than ETH but not really that much profitable before the pump in price and I doubt XPM was having much attention to them anyway.

Anyway price vs mining difficulty is always a function of each other. If the price drops later, the difficulty will follow.

RX 570 really shows only 0.3 with amdgpu-pro, it's not suitable drivers for XPM. 0.45 CPD for 1080Ti also too slow, what driver do you use? You can try this:

Is there any driver other than amdgpu-pro for RX570/580 on Linux?
Or currently the only way to mine XPM efficiently with RX570/580 is running under Windows?

Update:
What I found out is that adl doesn't work with amdgpu driver (and seems AMD get rid of ADL library at all).
xpmclient cannot set powertune, clockspeed and fan speed etc anymore.
I didn't use Windows for ages and if I dig a copy to install, probably the mining difficulties will be well passed 12+ already  Roll Eyes

Why does wiki say that there is 19 Cunningham chain? We mine primecoin for several years and only find the 15 chain?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunningham_chain
Primecoin searches a much more big primes, now minimal length is 320 bit.. it not so easy.

First number from wikipedia 19ch, second is found 15ch from block 2592901.

In addition to being much bigger, the primes mined by primecoin have special limitation (the base prime origin must be divisible by block header hash) instead of any random number. I believe this makes the mining more complex and harder to find longer chains.

I test sent a few coins to Bittrex wallet... took a long time and not yet even close to get the 6 confirmation they required after like 1/2 hour...

POS blocks are about to start popping in about two days.

In the mean time I can increase the velocity of the synthetic transactions between the seed nodes which has been running every 30 minutes

In about a week we should be fully powered up

-dvd

Just to share the experience.

I just wonder as even my local wallet has 12 connections already but Bittrex seems stuck at 3/6 confirmations for around an hour now.
Does it sound right? I don't know the details about how blockchain confirmation works but I feel it is not normal.
Are all nodes supposed do the some work even not for reward?!

EDIT: Oh, just after I post this I see it got another 3 confirmations right away...

FYI, I can confirm that blockexpert mishandled some of the blocks that are marked as orphan in my wallet, as a result they always show more coins than it should be in my wallet. But it only happens to some of them, not all orphans; most are correct as I have tons of orphans too.

Unfortunately I think the problem isn't just on my side...  Embarrassed

Bittrex has also recorded no new block for > 5700 minutes. https://bittrex.com/Status
My client did sync after waiting for a day or two but the transactions I made on Feb 2 are still not getting any confirmation on Bittrex.
The domain of explorer.givecoin.info has also expired too.

Is the coin dead? The client never sync and transaction never get confirmation.  Embarrassed

and nobody replies for 12 days.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have been on vacation and have been digging out from being out of the loop.

If you're client doesn't sync I'm not sure how you would get transaction confirmations.

I would suggest doing an "addnode" to the Do A Bit Of Good public peering node:

I'm using OpenCL with diffenent implementation for some functions.. and don't see a much speed difference between CUDA and OpenCL on same code.
NVidia Maxwell GPUs required different sieve implementation, if I create it, GTX970 will do 9-9,5CPD, GTX980 up to 11CPD, but it not easy Sad

You should be right as you are the expert. My thinking is simply based on the fact Cuda being more "native" on Nvidia platform and miners using Cuda (e.g. ccminer) seem to be much faster than OpenCL miner on those X11/13/15 algorithm.

Current GTX970 speed:
Quote
GPU 0 found share: 7-ch type 2
Share accepted.
GPU 0 found share: 7-ch type 1
Share accepted.
[GPU 0] T=-1C A=-1% E=0 primes=0.108847 fermat=303492/sec cpd=6.12/day
(ST/INV/DUP): 2606x 7ch(6/0/8) 265x 8ch(0/0/0) 29x 9ch(1/0/0) 2x 10ch(0/0/0)
10CPD is too optimistic.. I think, maximum possible speed of GTX970 is ~8 CPD, GTX980 - 9.xx (same as R9 280X, but with less power consumption).

I am interested to know if it will be using CUDA or OpenCL for Nvidia? My guess is OpenCL as it is a nightmare to recode everything in CUDA and then maintain two versions, but CUDA should be quite a bit faster than OpenCL on Nvidia platform.

I have updated my repository with x14 and qubit:

https://github.com/djm34/ccminer

It is doing rather well solo mining on Deepcoin, I already found 6 blocks... (which is quite funny as running on hashharder just bring some scrap... ), which are worth close to nothing   Grin

For the moment my 780ti is 2MHash/s faster than my R9 290x (and the R9 didn't find any blocks yet...)

any chance for windows binary ?
tomorrow... takes an hour and half to compile... (and people are always complaining about my binaries... )

I tried compiling djm34's source under Linux but it stayed at the point shown below for more than 2 hours already... I killed it as I thought it was hung but sounds like it is normal to wait a couple of hours? It is a Xeon 1230V2 but I was running cudaminer in parallel while compiling..

Code:
nvcc -g -O2 -I . -Xptxas "-abi=no -v" -gencode=arch=compute_30,code=\"sm_30,compute_30\" -gencode=arch=compute_35,code=\"sm_35,compute_35\" --maxrregcount=80 --ptxas-options=-v -I./compat/jansson -o x13/cuda_whirlpool512.o -c x13/cuda_whirlpool512.cu

But again, it will be only temporary so there is at least one pool running at all.

In the long run i don't want to be bothered with DOS attacks or manage firewall settings all day long.
I think there should be multiple pools running and then the miner could be auto-switching in case one goes down.
And yeah solo mining of course.

Will it be possible to use p2pool mode?

It is really very dramatic and unbelievable for your move. I asked myself and I believe I couldn't do the same if I spent months for making a software and let go to open source so easily.

I am a cheapskate and never believe in the donation model, but to show my appreciation I will donate all the coins that were mined during the testing of your server yesterday and 10% of the coins mined in the first month (at least).
