Re: [ANN][ICO] SmartValley – decentralized expert community for ICO projects

Last time I write here I asked about ICO progress. Now seems like there can't be any progress since there's no ICO. They stopped it. Finito.
I appeal to the investors, what are you gonna do about it??

What’s the point in writing huge comments with deep analysis, when the truth is, Venezuela itself has serious diplomatical and economical problems, like hyperinflation, oil industry crisis, suspension from OAS and never ending losses of allies... Of course, the government simply won’t admit its mistakes, because there might be a coup soon if the situation continues. And El Petro is obviously failing

They did it right. Their currency have no value.
But Oil has a value. They are just tokenizing their oil and hence making it free from the fluctuation of their currency.
This way they'll profit, their customer will profit and the only one at law is the tyrannic rule of IMF.

Haha Don’t be silly, Venezuelan oil will not worth a penny in the not too distant future. Crude oil production in Venezuela is practically falling at an average of 10% every quarter and has been since mid-2017. A scenario with oil production in the country losing at least another 500,000 barrels

Yeah, but due to political reasons and economic crisis they are losing their trading partners, which makes them unable to increase the usability of Petro and stabilize oil prices.
Also, The decision by ConocoPhillips to seize the Caribbean assets of PDVSA, Venezuela's state-owned oil company, has established a dangerous legal precedent that could swamp the South American country's already impoverished oil monopoly under a wave of similar claims and cut deeply into its ability to operate

I think that similar projects should be developed in other countries. I think that most countries have own cryptocurrencies.

Crypto should stay decentralized, El Petro is a good example of what happens when dictators try to get involved in this sphere without common knowledge. Spoiler: it failed

The guy above me didn’t bother with reading the whole article, and I don’t know about total shutdown, but mistakes were certainly made and Venezuela is under huge pressure nowadays coming from US and Latin America countries. In this situation there’s no way Maduro thinks about El Petro, I don’t believe he keeps it in mind at all.

Amateurs or not they still have been able to interview the developer and it looks like the overall situation is not ideal....the fact that the website have stopped selling the Petros is honestly the best news surrounding the project, I hope to see the Petro in exchanges soon

Aside from that I haven’t heard any news about Petro since the time of election though. It seems like Maduro is avoiding this topic, am I right?

I think every president wants the best for his people. The problem is your ability to do it

Undecided Undecided And now he doesn't even talk about his cool progressive initiatives.  Undecided Undecided

the problem is not what you want is what you do
He actually does a lot for his country and its people. It's just that he can't do his best because of sanctions
Don’t use sanctions as an excuse he failed his country and his people with amateur approach to El Petro and then won a run for presidency by using rude force and dirty tricks.

I think Maduro cares more about maintaining his power, so, as I’ve already assumed earlier, El Petro might be just a tool to get votes. Look, after elections he barely said a word about it

his article exposed them!!!!

That article is pure bs, like 99% of the stuff written in English on Petro. Coindesk has written bs propaganda against the Petro several times. Nothing new.

You should understand that some articles written in Spanish are also just pure propaganda and nothing more, then let’s face the fact that chavists misused their, as you said, strategical tool, and even if you are right about the fact that they need it, who says they care about investors?

Let’s wait and see, Maduro has already admitted that oil industry in deep crisis, and Trump’s administration, as many sources claim, is gonna impose tough sanctions on this sector. I believe there going to be some moves from both sides,
And the question is, will El Petro be able to survive it?

Right, I agree that there's too much talk about elections, but  El Petro and Venezuelan government are inerconnected. Now feels like everything will be according to Maduro's plan and I want to ask you guys what do you think of economic zones using El Petro ? Do you think this idea is worthy?

I think it is too early to decide the actual outcomes of this step, although it is definitely meant to be a step forward in terms of usability. What also bothers me is lack of news about El Petro in post-election period, like Maduro hasn’t mentioned it at all. That silence might be a bad sign of some sort

Personally, I think El Petro’s greatest problem - liquidity hasn’t been solved yet, and currently it is really difficult to improve the situation. US boycott and new sanctions will be a huge obstacle, as usual. That is why, I guess, Maduro has stopped mentioning Petro recently

Block chain technologies in the hands of dictators like Venezuelan  Maduro with his el Petro are like kept to become a cause of poor countries’ economic downturn. Look what happend to Venezuela’a oil industry, oil-backed crypto is next to go
Yeah I also think that in a country with unstable political and economic situation, especially in such a grave crisis like Venezuelan launching crypto will contribute to county's collapse

Disgusting propaganda from USA.....
https://youtu.be/iPq4TtdHV9Q

Well that one is actually hilarious Grin
US propaganda on a Russian channel called “Russia Today”? Really? I know you believe in El Petro, but why don’t you face the fact that it’s because of Maduro and his fake elections we might lose our money due to The destruction of Venezuelan oil industry? My point is, not all bad news are propaganda

Don’t know whether it is only my problem or there're some technical issues, but at least I can’t see my my Petro in the wallet, it still shows zero.
