Thank you, Toby2000.
I received a vouch copy from him. Got a fully functional 4K Netflix account. It is a newly created account that I tested by easily logging into the Netflix App. Working perfectly fine as expected.

Re: || BTC2Fiat || - Chrome Extension to Convert selected BTC Value to Fiat Value
by

Great idea for sure, but I think the GitHub link should be inside your Chrome Web Store page to reduce the fear of possible malicious intent (not accusing you/your extension or anything, just a suggestion).

I am one of the skeptics out here when it comes to extensions, there have been enough out there with malicious intent. How can I be assured this extension runs solely on the GitHub open-source code and doesn't have any little 'tricky' code lines inside?

Not a developer and never studied how GitHub or extensions really work, so I think this is the best opportunity to learn it. If you plan on creating a website for your extension, I'd add a very short F.A.Q. and have my question included for the skeptics.

Your concerns are valid. I have added the link to the source code (https://github.com/CodinMaster/BTC2Fiat) in the chrome store and it would be live after the google team reviews it.
If you are really sceptic about it, you may open up the developer console for the extension to view what all scripts are running and whether it is malicious in any way or not.

Don't think I might be able to afford a website for this little project, but I can include the FAQ into Github docs as well as the Chrome Webstore's listing.

The extension has been launched on the Chrome Webstore.
You can easily add it to your browser. Link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/btc2fiat-by-apoorvlathey/emmfmjhameppnhjbaibjfdedfleifpae/

Added the live price badge feature from the suggestions above.

I plan to add on more useful features for the community, so your honest feedback is appreciated!

Re: [ANN] BitHub.com – swap digital assets anonymously
by

There is no way to check if the BTC address entered by the user is correct or not.
I entered a random string and it forwarded to the next dialog box prompting to enter my email and displayed LTC address.

What happens in this case if I send LTC to that address but the forwarding BTC address is not correct?

Also, we do not store private keys and passwords on our nodes.

So without storing the private keys and password, how are you able to sends from the address?
I believe that you are storing the private keys, but in the encrypted form using the password as key to decrypt. If not then how does this work?

Also, is it possible to send funds from an address on your site if I know the password, but using a different API key?

How to convert change from Pre-loaded Card to BTC
by
apoorvlathey
on 01/12/2019, 21:14:59 UTC
I usually buy pre-filled Visa gift cards in order to shop on the fiat websites, but the problem is that the top up value of the cards is only in the multiples of 5.
So, after the required purchase I end up having few bucks left in the card. What is the least expensive way to convert that USD back to BTC?

How to apply Smart Contracts in countries where crypto banned ??
by
apoorvlathey
on 16/11/2019, 18:22:14 UTC
So, I was developing a Decentralized application with the main focus of making the transaction to a particular organization transparent, using tokens.
But the major problem I encountered was the inability of users to even buy the tokens in countries where such transactions are illegal as of now.

Basically, I just want to track a user_id with the transaction that they have made using our smart contract in solidity.

Is there a way to achieve this?

I was planning on using a way to have such information in each of the transactions made by such users (Not by their Addresses but through our smart contract.)

At one point I also thought of using a mapping between the user_id and the txn_hash, but it was not possible to incorporate txn hash as txn don't get confirmed before that.

Hi, I just joined this campaign, and I read the WHOLE thread to do not ask stupid question, but I didn't found information about duration of this campaign. Is there any estimated time for this campaign?
The end time has not been specified yet. Reap the benefits of this campaign while it lasts.
I believe yahoo might give notice well in advance for when the campaign would come to an end.

Any website out there to keep track of trade orders
by
apoorvlathey
on 30/10/2019, 18:41:33 UTC
I have just started trading and was looking for some platform to keep track of my trades to see if I made profits or losses in the long run.
There are some portfolio managers, but they just track the different crypto coins and their current prices.

Is there any such tool or just google sheets that you are aware of that might be of help to me?

I couldn't search up if it has been asked already, but what happens when I cancel my limit order. Do I still need to pay the taker's fee (which is 0.1%), I have selected Post-only, so no maker's fee there.
I had earlier placed an order, but due to current market conditions I want to update my price for the same.

But why don't you find those beautiful airdrops once, whose only request was to communicate an address to receive the gift?  Cry
It's not worth it now. Even if you find such airdrop, its value is going to be next to nothing when it reaches exchange (if it ever).

According to be the most profitable 'airdrop' were that happened due to chain split like Bitcoin Cash. Hassle-free, just get your free coins. Miss those days...

Re: WHEN THE LAST COIN HAS BEEN MINED.
by

Tell me do you trade the bitcoins directly with the miners only and that too every time? I guess no.
Consider this what if there no gold left on the earth to be mined? The remaining one in circulation would still continue to change hands regardless.

Similarly, when no new coins are mined the remaining coins would keep on transferring from one person to another. This eliminates any form of inflation as seen with fiat where the banks keep on printing notes till eternity.

How do YOU convert your Bitcoins to INR ?
by
apoorvlathey
on 23/10/2019, 10:17:29 UTC
I only trade in crypto coins but few of my friends who are interested in joining the crypto community ask how to convert the coins earned into 'real' money.
I didn't need to convert them atm so I am unaware of the same.

What's the most convenient way to do so? I guess local bitcoins? Are there any automatic exchanges left that can directly transfer to the bank account or any other INR wallets?

Re: Get a credit card by Bitcoin
by
apoorvlathey
on 23/10/2019, 09:50:16 UTC
Because cryptocurrencies are not linked with a savings account, so it's not possible to have a service that provides credit based on your crypto coins.

Visa and Mastercards are universally accepted, so their Credit and Debit both types must work on a payment portal.
I recently tried coinsbee.com that offers a maximum of $100 prefilled debit cards.

I haven't seen a "credit" card in the crypto space before. And I see it difficult to see the classical financial banks to accept crypto for their credit cards.

Re: Earning Interest with Bitcoin?
by
apoorvlathey
on 19/10/2019, 22:54:17 UTC
Definitely. I am now earning interest on:
Binance Lending: 3% annual on BTC, 6% annual on BNB
Bitfinex Funding: BTC, BCH, XRP, LTC, ETH interest rate are bid and offer, varies from time to time and can be as high as 0.25% daily on XRP present.
Gate.io Lending: Bid and Offer, now earning 0.02% daily for BNB and BTT
Yobit Invest Box: 0.1% daily for DOGE
etc

Is the interest calculated based on USD price or in the crypto coins deposited? If it's based on the coins then I find this deal profitable because no matter what the market is, we are guaranteed to get more crypto coins in the last.
If the interest and everything is in USD then if the market growth of the coin is much greater than the interest, say 20%, then at the end of withdrawing we would be left with lesser profits compared to if we had justed kept the coins in our own wallet.
