Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service.

We are excited to let you know that the list of coins available for purchase via OWNR Wallet on Bitfinex has been expanded. From now on, five more coins can be bought with a credit or debit card:

- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Tether Gold
- Tron
- Tezos

All you need is to pass intermediate or full verification on Bitfinex and choose OWNR Wallet as a payment processor.

This announcement surprised me a bit. I didn't expect that the collab with Bitfinex would be such a long-term and fruitful partnership, although most customers wanted it.

The Coronavirus is having a damaging economic impact. And it concerns the crypto space too. Even when a situation on the crypto market is OK no one can predict an appropriate moment for buying/selling crypto. Who can do it now?

I can't agree that it is problem of wasting energy. Our problem is what we don't use alternative resources of energy which are eco-friendly.

Re: Which ICO review/rating do you trust most?
by
apvmoreira
on 13/02/2018, 16:43:05 UTC
Actually none!

All ICO review sites have payed someone to promote the ICO they have interests on.

Then you follow them and also buy, but at a higher cost.

When the ICO is released the majority have a pump, they sell for 10x they have bought, the majority holds because the same youtubers that are payed to promote the ICO say to hold, there's a big dump and you loose the money.

Or they hold your money because they have changed something on the roadmap

Or they close the website

Or they make an internal exchange where you are obliged to trade and loose value

Or they freeze the withdraws

There are so many ways of you to lose money on a ICO that all those that rates them cannot know if the ICO is oging to work or not.

Advice from someone who has lost a lot of money. Don't go that way.

Ok, but members like me, that are not here for the signature bonuses, but don't make state of the art articles, will be discriminated. I'm not extraordinary, and i don't want to be stuck waiting for someone to merit my posts. I want to help the community and learn from it at the same time, but from now on, will the community spend time thanking me for doing it?

If you're not here for the signatures - why do you care about ranks? How exactly are you discriminated?

To post faster, to get access to some campaigns, like bounties or airdrops. Don't take me wrong, i still like money, just don't see this forum as a way of getting rich by posting x posts per week to get some bitcoin.

I remember being a noob here and had to wait to reply almost 5 minutes. NO access to campaigns, good airdrops, even signatures. Not even quoted until i've reached higher rank. People tend to look at what you write, you can write faster and you evolve like that, not by likes. Imagine that you can only post in Facebook from 5 to 5 minutes until you have 10 likes... and your friends have limited supply of those. Not logical imo.

But let's see where it goes.

thanks to the moderators and administrators for "helping and removing my posts" and for helping me with my blocked account, the entire administration does not care about ordinary users, we only interfere with them, but in real help - do not wait, die faster than help comes to you from the local administration. THANK YOU VERY HUGE FOR YOUR SERVICE
you can add or subtract messages, delete this message, block this account, you can not use it for help, you still will not help, but just ignore it

I would agree.

At the current time, an "ordinary" user is one that shitposts for personal financial gain.  They do not care about the forum at all, so why should we care about them?

The Merit system will allow everyone to see those users that are "extraordinary" in actually caring about, and discussing bitcoin.

Seeing as Theymos and the rest of the moderation team are overworked, doesn't it make sense they spend their time dealing with those extraordinary users instead of the run-of-the-mill, dime-a-dozen, ordinary user?

Ok, but members like me, that are not here for the signature bonuses, but don't make state of the art articles, will be discriminated. honestly, this makes me very sad, even if i understand why this merit system is implemented for.

i am like 3-4 weeks away from my sr.member rank and this fucks me really up Sad

i'm sad, angry and shocked together X_x". now i have to collect like 150 merits in a short time but how Oo", i dont think that people will freely start to like everything i post... since humans are not generous, infact, they can be very harsh to others, being anonymous on the internet...

Although i agree with the merit system, i also agree with you.

What if the system can give merits by some sort of algorithm? Or the moderators give them to people who deserved them? If it's their job to look out for the sections of the forum to check if everything is alright, which means they have to read everything (in theory), they could also give merit to those who are working for the community.

I'm also running for Full Member, not for the money per se, but for airdrops and others alike, and to think that i need 90 merits to achieve that... wow.

Again, im in favor, but i see tons of members/users to quit because the effort does not pay.

PS - Also, it will not prevent the creation os new accounts to flood the system with announcements. It will only drop the number os stupid posts.

Re: Newbie and Jr Member not much of a difference!

Since the implementation of the new rules which I'm still trying to study I don't think Jr. Member, a position in between Newbie and Member,  is still necessary. Currently there are not much difference in the privilege enjoyed by newbies compared to Jr. Members.

Jr Members can no longer have signature links.

Hence, Jr. Members can no longer join signature campaigns right?

Your thoughts on this Jr. Members?

And now you have merits....

A lot of people are pumping the ranks to get money, not for the community. That's why...

This might not be fair for new people, I don't know if others will ever consider to give merit to newbies. Guess I had to been registered here like 1year back to get some kind of "good" positions. Juniors and newbies are often treated poorly and seen as funny guys around, not taken seriously.

Totally agreed and you have got 1 merit from me because of it.

I've been in your position hundreds of times and getting to Member was pretty hard. Trying to give always something useful to the community it's not easy but at the end of the day we have to agree with the merits system. I see tons of nonsense posts, adding little of nothing to the conversation just to rank up and even more stupid threads about stupid things like"Is Bitcoin good for your throat?"

Jokes aside, keep working and you will rank up. It will be harder, but if you are good, you will get where you want.

Re: Scam ICO
by
apvmoreira
on 23/01/2018, 19:10:40 UTC
There are a couple of things that me and some friends do:

 - check several rating sites to see which ICOs appear more in the 1st spots
 - check youtube for references about those ICOs
 - Check roadmap

Conclusions and made based on a good review from several rating sites, after some youtubers and opinion makers state if the ICOs is good or not. This is very important because it creates hype to the ICO and that can make it rise in popularity, aka, boost value upon release.

If a ICO is very popular, the devs will make more money, making it with less probability to disappear after some cash income, or before the ICO as ended.

Finally the roadmap. If it has a lending program, some investors will be tempted to hold the tokens/coins and invest more, like the beginning of Bitconnect or Davor.

Now, the most important thing. ICO are all scams, so you need to know when to take your money out!! You need to check for signals and withdraw your profit.

Re: Should I invest in Hedgeconnect ICO ?

Hello guys, I wanna know is it safe to buy Hedgeconnect now? It's already in round 3. Is it a scam? And which is better Hedgeconnect or Phoenixconnect?

I want you to help me guys in this. Thank you so much Smiley

Basically, you are alone in this. You need to do your won request and choose what you think fits your interests. The only advice that i can give is to check some ico review sites and see if those 2 are well rated or not.

If so, you have to decide if you are willing to take the risk.

Re: More than 10 percent of $3.7 billion raised in ICOs has been stolen: Ernst & You
by
apvmoreira
on 22/01/2018, 22:28:23 UTC
If its only 10% it's worth the risk.

But i don't think its true. Most ICOs that did see the sun where scams. In fact they all are into a certain point, but the earning may pay for that risk.

I will go to 10% hackers and 40% that don't end the ICO and vanish with the money.

Plus more 30% that are not profitable and that leaves you with 20 % ICOs that can live.

From those 20%, 15% are controlled by teams that don't know what to do in the right time and are always changing the roadmap.

This, leaves 5 % that you can get a goo profit. Just need to find them in the jungle.

And take the money asap to not get scamed, don't forget!!

Re: France, Germany to make joint bitcoin regulation proposal at G20 summit
by

on 19/01/2018, 19:41:42 UTC
Good. Let's say one day in the next years, bitcoin will become the world currrency. Also let's say that USA, Germany, France and other big countries of the world will replace their currency with bitcoin. This is very good, isn't it? All countries in the world united together and having one currency.

Now let's say that this currency loose 10% of its value in a day, and there is one country in the world with a different urrency than bitcoin. This would imply that that country with a different currency will have its economy grown by 10% in a day. Wow!!!

Isn't this something to try to avoid? I guess yes.

Thus the regulation of bitcoin by Germany and France is a very good thing, isn't it? This will make bitcoin truly powerful, this will give bitcoin that power that it does not have now.

So,what you are saying is that Bitcoin will have Japan, Russia and the UE giving it support, against USA, UK and China?

With Brexit and all involved... i don't know, but love the speculation. It ,makes Bitcoin raise, eh eh!

Yes thats bad news, this is probably the reason all cryptos are falling today again.
Hopefully other countries will NOT follow them as we will have another slaughter on the exchanges.

If they do it, all EU will follow. Don't fight change, adapt!

I see Bitcoin as the standard for all crypto currencies. They all suffer from the ups and downs of the reference coin. It's like dollar for the traditional global economy.

If by any chance the reference is more controlled to avoid speculation dumps to provoque panic sales im all favour.

If it's regulation to pay unlogical fees and maintenance costs in the banks i totally against it.

That's how it goes I'm glad that I got out in time in profit, it's a ponzi I knew it from the start, that is why I never got a single referral I invested on my own now no one's going to blame me for referring them to Bitconnectcoin now that is on its way out, so next time what you can afford to lose.

They all are. The better players just know when to take money off.
