Re: Be AWARE. Mobile payment is coming our way.
by
arcfaith
on 05/03/2018, 07:38:14 UTC
Mobile payment definitely will become the future. There are much more benefits compared to using cash.
Let us take China for example. The reason why mobile payment boomed is due to:
1. There are risks of accepting fake currency for cash
2. Everyone is using Wechat, you almost can't find someone not using it
3. It is made such that the platforms are linked directly to banks so transferring in and out isn't a hassle.
There are much more reasons.
With our technology advancing day by day, bulk usage of mobile payment in our everyday lives should be common. In the Crypto community, there are lots of companies focusing in the transfer of fiat to crypto and vice versa. It definitely beats the stack of cash I keep in my pocket and being cautious in a crowded area.

Re: ~BTC in Medical Industry

I feel it is more of an issue of liquidating the bitcoins. Any business is able to receive bitcoins as a form of payment, medical industry included.
But as more people adopt usage of bitcoin and start to pay using bitcoin, if the liquidation process is troublesome or time consuming then it would not be feasible to adopt for now. Cash flow is always one of the most important factor for a business to consider.

Re: Is Bitcoin really secure?
by

on 04/03/2018, 06:12:09 UTC
Well we all know bitcoin is really secure with the blockchain and etc. But we should also know that hackers should not be belittled. When technology involves, so do hackers.
So what we can do on our part is to make safety the first priority by not giving away our private key to anyone as well as storing our bitcoins properly.

So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

In trading you need to have a strong heart. Don't give up on it even if it falls down so dip.  Always think that it will back up.  Wait for the right time since you already invested. Time is your comrade in fighting dumped. Always think that in a longer period of time it will bounce back at hit higher market cap.

Most of the time this is the perfect method, but this is not what a trader should do.
Think about it, you Are a trader, can you afford to wait 2 days or 1 week with your funds stuck inside until the token finally rises?
A good investor would do that, but not a good trader.

Re: Trading is unpredictable job.

If trading wasn't unpredictable, everyone would be millionaires already.

In wolf of wall street, mathew mcconaughey says no one knows if the chart is going to go up, down, or in a circle.

I think people can predict general market trends, but no one can predict with a high degree of accuracy.

My statement exactly. That is why in stocks, brokers charge fees for every transaction, be it a profit or a loss.
No one and nothing can give you a confirmed answer to buy or sell. The best method so far is only to be up to date with the news and reading market trends.
But I do know of day traders who has an almost excellent portfolio. If you can control your emotions (greed included) with regards to profit margin, you are already half a winner.

Re: Is this a good time to start buying bitcoin or should i wait?

Hi, a friend told me that this is the best time to start buying btc because it's price is dropping, but do you think i should wait and see if it keeps going down? I only have a small amount of money to invest. Thanks for your help, I'm new to this world

Oh my, define small amount  Shocked
If your small amount is equivalent to just a few hundred bucks, then I will not suggest investing in Bitcoin. Instead you should go for Alt coins, there are lots of potential tokens with a good team and solid project which will only see multiple digits percentage increase of its value. Until you hold enough to convert some/most to Bitcoin, that is possibly the best alternative you have.
And bear in mind too, entering Crypto is just like entering any investment. If you do not do your own research you will not go far.

Re: trading or working in signature campaigns?
by
arcfaith
on 18/01/2018, 09:48:58 UTC
In my opinion, trading and bounty is not something you consider "either or". They are both independent of each other and since it does not belong to "either or", why not both together?
Signature campaigns do not require much time, furthermore you can only join one at a time, until the campaign ends. As long as you are active in bitcointalk, signature campaign may only take up an insignificant portion of your day and you can leave the rest to trade.

Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos?
by
arcfaith
on 18/01/2018, 05:33:31 UTC
You should only store your coins in exchange if you are a day trader. But only temporarily. Your core profits in terms of ETH & BTC should be moved to a physical wallet. Trust me, there are no other exchanges as trustworthy as keeping it yourself physically.
Of course, with 2FA activated in Binance it is very safe but as long as your token amount exceed 4 digits (in terms of USD value), do invest in a physical wallet. You will not regret.

Re: Any legit airdrops?
by

on 18/01/2018, 05:18:38 UTC
There are various telegram groups & channels you can follow, and apart from that there are also facebook groups you can join.
But whether the airdrop is legit or not, is not something you can decide from the start. And joining airdrops have pros and cons, you are getting it free but you ar exchanging your time for it. So for a start try to find those that have really good writeups with promising business ideas.

Re: Blood-Bath Over?
by

it seems that we've recovered 100 Billion over night putting us right back at 550 Billion at the time of writing this. Are we heading back to 700B?

What do you think?

It is too early to speculate that the correction is over. remember we are not reaching the 8,000 USD yet. however, the market can reach 15,000 again before plunging to 8,000. This is my own opinion. no one can predict the market.

I also agree that it's still too early to speculate. Bit if we are looking at long term gains the previous price is good for us to hold.
If you are doing short term trading then this current situation may be complicated.

Re: Binance registrations closed again. Selling accounts 0.5ETH each

To those that are reading and interested in this thread (mostly newbies to crypto I presume), do take note of the following before you decide:
1. It is officially prohibited by Binance to sell accounts (link was given by previous chat)
2. Binance has limited registration everyday, you can take your time to check it out daily.
3. There are a lot of other exchanges to use and Etherdelta does not need registration as long as you have your ETH private & public keys.

Looking at the above, if you still think either 0.5 ETH or even 0.1 ETH is worth for a Binance account then please go ahead.

Re: Etherdelta sucks
by
arcfaith
on 17/01/2018, 14:50:28 UTC
Etherdelta is not really beginner friendly. But we cannot deny their existence and the ability to list any tokens as long as it's ERC20. You can almost find any ERC20 token there and till date it is still the exchange that is closest to the word decentralised.
There are also quite a few of the token creators who do not wish to spend the money to get into other major exchanges.
So Etherdelta is here to stay. We can only hope that the new team that took over Etherdelta and with funds from the ended ICO, would improve the current website.

Well, it's called airdrop for a reason. There are always different ways the token creator can look into for the distribution of tokens. The more unique it is, the higher possibility of them creating a hype or even starting the trend for a particular method.
Take telegram bots for example, it was a well thought method and it has become a popular trend now.

Re: Token price fall after ICO
by
arcfaith
on 17/01/2018, 11:29:44 UTC
It is quite normal to have prices that falls after ICO. It really depends on a few things, the exchange strategy by the token developers, "whales" who are holding a significant amount of tokens and the current market as a whole upon listing.
One such coin that fell after ICO and has not actually been up to expectations is MTH (Monetha). And they actually sold out their ICO within few minutes.

It seems like the bearish market is approaching soon. It may not be the best time to enter ICOs but for trading, bearish market is a good time to buy into the coins you missed previously when the price is high after entering exchange.

Re: how to buy icos?
by

All ico tokens are mostly similar. Used to accept only btc/eth. But every since the transaction became so congested, many ICOs have started to accept usd and other popular alt coins too.
So for these ICOs, even newcomers to crypto are able to join without having to hold eth or btc at first.

Re: Best exchange for beginner?
by

on 15/01/2018, 09:49:11 UTC
If we are talking about deposit usd directly in exchange for btc/eth to trade in the exchange currently i feel coinbase is the best for beginners. They have a limit though, and you have to transfer out to major exchanges too once you purchased.
Beginner friendly exchanges wise, i will recommend either etherdelta or binance. Bittrex would require quite a bit of verification.

How many tokens to the first airdrop?

Seems like they have not released the information yet. But they commit to transferring the tokens within 24 hours before the airdrop ends so until then we'll know the amount and possibly estimate the amount for second round.
