Mining should have still been up on US2 and US3.

Yes US2/US3 worked fine.

The question is, how long have these parts been in use mining? When were they purchased.
The oldest parts were purchased less than 6 weeks ago.

Thank you for the question.

Why don't you post what you are expecting to get for each rig? Otherwise it turns into a bunch of posts trying to lowball you and draw you out.

My offering price is $1700.  Make me reasonable counter offer  Grin

I will offer my standard $.55 per MH/s

approximately $5,225 for the whole set-up

At that price I'll keep mining with it :-) Thank you for the offer.

well if no one else is going to post a public offer i can offer $1250 for one rig. i would request an escrow because of your lack of reputation.

Thank you for your offer. It's a low bid and I am motivated to sell.  Unfortunately I cannot accept because of the cost of the hardware.  Also consider that you are getting tested, working and with known performance miners. When I started building this setup I had no idea how much work it was going to be to get working hardware and build the scripts (BAMT v0.5 does not work with HD 7970 not later builds of CGMiner), and stabilize the hardware configuration.

For others who maybe considering this: escrow is fine with me -- I don't have anything to hide.  PM is fine too.  Once deals are settled I will update this thread to indicate sales.

Happy day!

hmm wasnt expecting you to actually deliver, I guess I'm just a skeptic. Why sell now? they are nice systems but there's probably no way you'd even break even at this point.

Wink Now where are the offers?  Is everyone down on GPU mining?

Thank you for your consideration.

WTS 5 miners with triple HD 7970
by

I am selling 5 miners built from the following parts:

Case: Antec 100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129183
PS: PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W High Performance 80PLUS Silver http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003U29C40/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00
MB: BIOSTAR TZ77XE3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138355
CPU: Celeron G530 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116409
Memory: G.Skill 4GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231253

3 of the miners are built with triple GPUs: Visiontek HD 7970 reference design http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129204

The other two miners have a Sapphire HD 7970 OC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102982 and dual Visiontek HD 7970 reference design http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129204 ).

Parts were purchased less than 6 weeks ago.  All have generous manufacturer warranties.

All are running BAMT 0.5 with CGMiner 2.7.4 off Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220252

All the hardware is in new/excellent condition -- less than 6 weeks old. They mine at ~ 9.5GH/s. I can ship the miners as built or using all the original boxes (shipping will be a bit higher this way).

I will entertain any reasonable offer for the miners as built. Parting is an option I'll consider later.

I do not have a high post count/reputation here but I've been on ebay for > 10 years with an excellent reputation (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=arobincaron&ftab=AllFeedback

Re: 7 card motherboards? Newegg refurb

Sounds cool until the reality of price of the motherboard vs how many cards you can use with it and trying to power 7 cards. If you use this type of MB you need risers, a custom case solution and 2 large power supplies (~1000W) and some custom wiring to make it all work.  I'd estimate the per GPU cost of this solution to be $80 - $120/GPU. If you build with 3  GPU/MB you can use a much cheaper MB, a standard case, a large power supply and USB key.  If you count PS/Case/USB key that gives you overhead of  $75-$100/GPU. For me the ability to plug and play and lower cost make the decision easy.

except another specialized chip made in a better way/with more transistors

You can still expect mining power to double every 18 months with moore's law. Even with ASIC.

Agreed. The processed used (90nm?) is likely to not be too cutting edge so lots of room for improvements.

Re: Four 7970's crossfired in windows

Make sure you have a beefy PSU for you rig as my rig pulls 620w from the wall with just 2 cards; idles at 100.

Keep in mind that because of constant power draw that mining requires that a good quality lower wattage power supply (e.g. 850W) is much better than a so so one that's much high (e.g. 1,000W).

For 4 7970 I think a good quality 1100W+ power supply is required.

Try cgminer as an alternative to Guiminer.  It's not that much more complicated to setup and as a side benefit it handles all the GPUs together instead of as separate workers with Guiminer. Cgminer can also control fan speed/gpu& mem clock speed/voltage without using any other software. It also appears to give ~3% better hash throughput.
