price movement in usd value during the last 2 years:

bitcoin 9.3x
ethereum 27x
ripple 95x

Shorter term, my last XRP buy was almost a year ago, around 17c, current price is 55c, that's over 300%.
In the same period BTC went from 3.000 to 6.500, that's just over 200%.

all you need is just to zoom out a bit Smiley

I think XRP won't reach $5. I think its CEO has problems. Just a short sighted person. I think XRP has no investment value. I will not choose to invest in it.

You can also choose not to comment on it. I have yet to read a knowledgable negative comment on Ripple & XRP.

Total supply of XLM is 103.8 billion, there are 18.5 billion in circulation and it is not a mineable coin.

Who holds 85 billion XLMs?

The answer is needed to determine the level of XLM decentralization.

New XLM coins are generated every day. It's part of the code. I think it's +2% annually. So, nobody holds 85 Billion XLM, they currently are non existant.

That is not true, the new coins are on top of the 100 billion that were made in 2014:

Quote
https://www.stellar.org/lumens
In 2014 the Stellar network launched with 100 billion stellars, the original name of the network’s native asset.

So who holds 85 billion XLMs? How is this decentralized?

Here is the 2 year log chart of the XRP/USD pair - looks pretty good right?

Ripple is an amazing company that is no longer an investment risk - they WILL succeed. And they WILL make XRP the global cross-border settlement currency. After that there will be much more new use cases for XRP, ones that we don't even plan on now. Don't be shortsighted, hop on and ride this maglev train to the future.

ripple ceo such an idiot!
it is not good to ripple, no matter who win the battle.
ripple win, they also lose trust of their customer, cause that idiot may do stupid things again, and again.
R3 win, those 50B xrp could dump the price to the bottom!

You call him an idiot yet you are the one that misses the XRP amount in the lawsuit by 10 times?

Very happy that this R3 nonsense is still holding the price down. They have no chance of winning.

Re: Ripple and XRP are partnering with many banks, why does the price keep falling.
by
arsics
on 16/03/2018, 08:40:10 UTC
People are shortsighted and are not able to understand what Ripple is trying to do and how well their plan is progressing.

Price went up wildly because of a stupid Coinbase rumor, and a lot of people bought high. Today, the people who bought at 3+$ have the same choice as the people who bought bitkoin at 1000+$ in 2014 - if they are patient they will see massive gains, if they are not they can take their loss and move on.

Banks and FIs are joining in waves, and yes, at first most will use xCurrent. But the transition to xRapid will come soon, and so will other usecases based on the advantages of a fast crypto, cheap fees & great liquidity. Smart people will not miss out, a lot of money is to be made.

One of the best investments right now fits your preferences perfectly - FunFair.

- they have a great team, way bigger than other crypto projects
- Jez San is a very reliable founder/leader with a good track record in the target industry (online casinos)
- the platform is already on testnet and the full release is set for Q2 2018
- basically no competition in the blockchain space, some amateurish casinos exist but this is the only online casino platform
- their tech is very respectable (see "fate channels", the only production level implementation of state channels on Ethereum)

This is a good start but DYOR afterwards: https://www.casinopedia.org/news/jez-san-funfair-launch-uber-online-casino-ethereum

Also take a look at Cindicator & BitDegree.

Check out FunFair, SONM, Ark, Cindicator, Omise, Waves & SALT, all have a great risk to reward ratio currently.

They are not pump&dump scams, so I wouldn't expect 100x returns, but they have real, quality products and a lot more coming this year. Price wise, all are capable of going 10x and it's hard to expect them falling deep, except in the case of a global crypto crash (in which case I would just buy more).

I'm in Cindicator since the ICO and refer to my CND tokens as "my precious" Smiley Very impressed with the team and the achievements, in the age of plagiarized whitepapers that scam their way to multibillion usd valuations CND is a real gem. It did go up like 20x since the ICO but I am not selling anytime soon. Pay attention to this one folks, try to find a good entry point and HODL.

Why is it so important if it goes up more soon? Let it rest for a while at 1$ Smiley

It is always a good time to invest in XRP, but if you want to make a quick buck look elsewhere, like in the under 10M market cap. BTW, that's not investing.

Hi guys,

any link to the November Palm Beach edition?

Thanks Smiley

What does it mean when the recommendation for a crypto is "buy up to xx$" and it is way below the current price, like Monero's "buy up to 60$" when it's value more than double that?

Re: IOTA is the next big thing
by
arsics
on 04/11/2017, 21:56:54 UTC
Thanks man. Smiley
As I said already, I do not have many advices. I think the mistake people do is the search for the low market cap ICOs, the hidden pearls and the next x1000 coin, while they miss projects like IOTA which are already big but still can do easy x10 or x30 during the next 1-2 years. The IOT industry is predicted to reach 2020 a market cap of nearly 300 billions according to Forbes.

I bought this book and it will be one of several I will read in the next time: https://www.amazon.com/IoT-Inc-Company-Internet-Outcome/dp/1260025896

XMR is another coin I love and where I expect a nice market cap of 5-10 billions in 2018, NEO could make great progress in China.

Who are the other 4 guys you find their advice useful?

Thanks for the reply. As for the other guys I trust, at no1 there is a trader on a Serbian forum that was killing it this summer, predicted every big BTC move pretty accuratelly (tip - he sold most of his BTCs at 7000). Then there's DataDash for the general TA and altcoin stuff, the CryptoHydra pair seems very smart and down to earth (they convinced me to wait for IOTA to pull back from 1$ to 40c), also like IvanOnTech's repository analysis videos (the IOTA one was a bit concerning).

There are others like DLavrov from tradingview, dbt1033 and hodor (ripple) from this forum, other youtubers etc. and I always try to get at least two positive opinions from trusted sources.

by

After buying 300KICKs in the ICO (my first ICO, just for learning) and seeing this fall I just added 700KICKs to average and round it out. I even got 9 bonus coins in the meantime.

This is a nice project and a good long term hold. Even if it fails I won't regret it, well worth a 50$ gamble.

Thanks pal, really happy that you are bullish on IOTA, invested in it also. Really liked how you investigated ZenCash, bought it at the same time but I missed that train setting my sell order too low (lost 350% profit because of 20%). Too much noise in the crypto space, so people get confused, my strategy is to find reliable people and follow their advice, and you are right there in the top 5. This confirmation on IOTA (other smart investors reccomend it also) is a very good sign for me.

In case I have missed some of your other favorites, can you list them here? Just a short list, nothing more.

Re: ICO Cindicator today - Only white list - what will the price will be?
by

on 02/10/2017, 12:22:36 UTC
Looks like a ploy to present themselves as exclusive. But really, if it all it takes is to enter your email on the website to get entered into the whitelist, I do not see how this will really stop people from signing up to the ICO. Only proper AML procedures can result in a vetting process. Then again,,, who will be in charge of auditing that vetting process? Looks like ICOs really have to reinvent themselves in the face of all the Chinese and South Korean bans!

Whitelist members had to put a CND tag on our twitter and linkedin profiles, those who didn't got left out. So it's more than putting in your email, this ICO was conducted impressively.

Re: is IT MY ETHERWALLET.COM safe?
by

on 29/09/2017, 22:28:55 UTC
I was always wondering  what  could  happen if  myetherwallet.com  website get hacked... so it's   better  to have the coins on  a   desktop wallet,  instead of  a  web wallet?
It's   a  question because  I a  little bit  afraid  of  web based  wallets

If the website got hacked and there is a possibility for the amount in the wallet to be revealed. I can say that was better to have your coin on the desktop wallet, But as far as i know that will not easy to hacked themew wallet, many people are still save their amount in there and the team always update the security of the forum.

There is nothing to hack on MEW website, they don't keep your keys.

Only risk is if you go to a fake MEW website.

In some other high potential coins. I would prefer: ARK, WAVES, TenX or EDGELESS

This is a great list, I'm holding all except Ark that I just hope to buy at a dip.
