Re: NASTY MINING presents... 1oz .999 Silver Physical NastyFans Seat Coins!
by

Received my coin about a week before Christmas, and I must say that the pictures don't do it justice.
The minting on the face of the coin picks up the minute details of the design wonderfully, especially on the dissipating effect of the water surface over NASTYFANS.
And the holographic reverse displays a beautiful psychedelic composition, I might get a video of the reflection to post here later.

Thanks for organizing this coin project for the NASTYFANS!

Zeevex on Steam, what about Bitcoin?
by

This just popped up on my Steam update news and I found that no one had posted anything about it here:

Zeevex + Steam

Official Press Release

"Valve-Players-Hate-Buying-Virtual-Currency"

What do you believe this means for other virtual currencies, like Bitcoin, being accepted on Steam?

Just wanted to update the topic to announce:
I am quitting design for good!...

April Fools!

A portfolio update is in order and it seemed like a good time to give my topic a bump.

New works will be added soon, looking forward to future clients.

I will produce a work for this bounty, though I can only promise the logo for now.
The rest of the graphics will be created if it is chosen, of course.

May I use the logo on http://bitcoinenterprises.org/nasty/ ?
I don't mind, though it depends on if it is going to be used for NastyFans.org, then if nonnakip would mind.

They are GPUs, it's a nod towards the iconic GPU mining period of bitcoin lore.
Sure it isn't the most relevant for today's hardware, but it is recognizable.

I used a different perspective for NastyFans to utilize the fan visual pun. hehe

Hey guys, I just checked out NastyFans.org and noticed they lacked a definitive logo.
So I took some time to create a nice logo that I feel accents the NASTY MINING logo nicely.
Check it out, hope you like it:

Collected ideas (and bitcoin addresses) so far:
...

Participant's address: 171RZK2hizSbUm67q7y5XLRqyAg78FcUnN

Interpretation: 2 "A"s in 1 symbol

Thanks for all participants. Please double check your bitcoin addresses are correct as they will be used for rewards.

PS: If you want to submit new ideas or to comment on them, you are welcome to do it within 12 hours. After that it will be too late. Within 24 hours your works will be evaluated and rewarded.

That's a good interpretation, I would merely add that the negative space creating a pseudo-hidden A represents the anonymity of Anonymous Ads while keeping the composition contained by the initial A.

Thanks man, that one was created for a competition for the Art Institutes.
I never ended up submitting it because the schools are for-profit and very expensive, and the winning amount would barely cover even a portion of a semester.
Repetition was a strong theme in the design. Horizontal repetition represents the vast scale that humanity today can provide to realize ideas.
Vertical repetition represents the passage of ideas through time and how they are passed from one person to the next, being filtered by each individual's perspective of reality.

A full statement on the piece may be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v_l4Gz_UHSp3QPolTVB6LANpQu5VBSzryhB1Jk2AalQ/edit?pli=1

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to add any commentary on the pieces found on my website.

Here is my take on the BTC note:

With the key off and on the edge:

The central image would be customizable, and I would also add that maybe they should be able to choose from a variety of BTC symbols:

I will come up with something for myself for the central image shortly.

I suggest holding a logo design contest on 99designs.

It's good place to get some professional looking logos for a good price.  Minimum award is $300. I think we should be able to collect that much.

The advantage of using 99designs is that we can access a much bigger pool of (semi)professional designers than by just posting a bounty on this forum.  We will also have several designs to pick from and we can do a community vote to decide the winner.

http://www.crowdspring.com/

I've not seen a design competition as high as $300 here before, why not try to bring the designers to this community instead of outsourcing the project?
