В чем-то хочется быть модным, в чем то нет. Например, одежда - это для меня не дань моде, а то ,что мне нравится и подходит. Если это совпадает с модой - ну значит так. Но мода вообще не важна для меня, просто многие вещи из моего выбора совпадают с модными))).

For nations that have independent media, there might be a recognition the independent media plays a watchdog role on government, keeping an eye out for corruption, incompetence or just outcomes of government actions beyond the official government narrative. A government run or government controlled media very likely iusnt going to do that work to the same degree, if at all.
