Re: Reddit’s science forum banned climate deniers.

It's a big Internet - there are plenty of places you can go and air your views.  Or you can create your own site.  Meanwhile, reddit has apparently decided they are serving the market of people who want to discuss the subject without the interjections of those who disagree.

Freedom of speech is a property right - you have the right to use your own press, your own soapbox, etc.  Nobody's obligated to provide one.  And some people just want to be left alone in private.  If they do, of course, the rest of us are free to point them out just in case anyone wants to avoid that group.  Maybe that's all you were doing here.

Since Reddit or any other Internet entity exists in public out there, they can not deny any critisism. I think it is ironic if they do so.

And this is the reason why cryptocurrency will be the new leading form of currency in the future =P, with bitcoins leading the pack! With inflation rates like that, and the inflation rate of the dollar, we are looking at crazy bitcoin values when converted to USD in just the next 5-10 years! It's crazy!

It's time to save some BTCs then, isn't it? Cheesy

It is always a good time to save with honest money.

Unfortunately even by saving normal currency money, the governments have proven that can take by force.

Dhaka: Bangladesh's central bank warned against dealing in bitcoin, saying anybody caught using the virtual currency could be jailed under the country's strict anti-money laundering laws.
The Bangladesh Bank, which regulates the impoverished country's banking industry, said it issued the order after reports in local media of Bitcoin transactions through various online exchange platforms.
"Bitcoin is not a legal tender of any country. Any transaction through Bitcoin or any other crypto currency is a punishable offence," the bank said in a statement

Bank officials told AFP separately that anyone found guilty in Bangladesh of using Bitcoin could be sentenced to up to 12 years in jail.
Launched in 2009, Bitcoin is a virtual payment system launched in 2009 that can be used to pay for goods from a computer or mobile device.
Backers say virtual currencies allow for an efficient and anonymous way to store and transfer funds online.
But virtual currencies, most famously Bitcoin, have come under increasing scrutiny by financial regulators as their popularity has grown.
Several countries have warned users of the risks associated with Bitcoin, such as their susceptibility to fraud because of the difficulty of tracing transactions.
Last Friday, Europe's top banking regulator called on the region's banks not to deal in virtual currencies until rules are developed to stop them being abused.

Just wow.

I believe it is proper to set up complex and expensive mechanisms to capture the terr'ists wannabes that would try to transact in this foul currency.

You are goofy to think like this.

1. The only evil threat that Bitcoin poses at this stage of the game is, it is a threat to the banking system. It is the banking system that is doing all those things that are evil, way more than Bitcoin could ever think of dong at this stage of the game. Bitcoin is one of the few things that might be able to stop the "terr'ists wannabes" that are using fiat to do what they are doing.

2. The "terr'ists wannabes" are being used by the bankers who run the banking system to do all the terrorism that they do, or attempt to do.

3. The reason that there is freedom in the places like Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom, more than in many other places, has to do with the freedom of the people. Bitcoin is increasing the freedom of the people. If yo stop Bitcoin, you slow freedom for the people down.

Let the people become educated so that they can stand up and free themselves from every oppressive government that is trying to take away the freedom of the people!

Hi,
FYI, I've placed a few bets, but am having some issues with the site. I sent an e-mail to Support.

Hello,
we have examined your complain.
The transactions are
valid,  we have looked at our database and the bets appear to have
been played correctly,
you can verify this by going to MENU->BETS, your bets are number 922 and 923
In a couple of hours the day
will expire and you will be able to confirm our provably fair results.
If your bet took longer than usual to appear we deeply
apologize but we use the bitcoin protocol like everybody else and
some times transactions may take up to 10 minutes to appear.

For some reason my bets appeared under some other addresses, and yet they were sent from my QT wallet, which I confirmed with you. I never saw any animation, or any confirmation that I had lost. Maybe the site doesn't work well with Chrome? Guess the front end needs work. Not impressed.

To make this absolutely clear dear customer,
blockchain.info is wrong , our database is wrong and bitcoin is wrong and you want a refund in an account that never showed up anywhere, otherwise you and buddies are gonna rep us down ?

SatoshiHunt.com is a relatively new Bitcoin Slots Machine site.

We offer a provably fair, on chain and fun slots experience. We strive to be as transparent as possible fully exposing our records.

Since we are new in the game (just under one thousand bets) and there are hundeds of scam sites out there we would like to ask our growing user base to confirm that we are indeed provably fair and that we do make our payments on time.

I also open this thread for any compain regarding our service to be in the open.

Re: Why btc will die

i would let it ride but cannot. supply of gold is finite. it is one of those elements created during a super nova.

Although gold has a fixed supply on earth, so far human has only mined a very small percentage of it near the surface of earth, if the price rise due to inflation, there will be more deep gold mines open (like those in china) to dig out more gold, and currently the gold is on the brink of crash due to oversupply

That would be the expected market reaction, if however gold price (I dont say it is) is maniputed then we would see a a shortage

I would say http://satoshiroulette.com/ is a scam site. They wont per say steal your money but they do at the same time. A 0.001 sic bo bet will only pay out 0.0013 its used to be 0.0019 to cover for the fee. It seems every couple of weeks they have slowly added more price to the fee. So for a bet that should pay close to 1:1 they are paying 1:3. Also it is slow as fuck sending back bets.

I run a gambling site (http://www.satoshihunt.com)and I know the pain of slow paybacks as it irritates the customers.
For that reason I've argued that for small amounts 1 confirmation ought to be enough.
Big sites like luckybit pay back while still uncorfimed but they have some proprietary algos that make sure their risk remains low.

Everybody sees a big change in 3-5 years, it's like a mental bias or something.

But noone really trades based on 3-5 years in todays stock market. So shorters trying to pick tops are probably looking at 6 months tops.

It's funny, every other 15 year old has a big insight and shares it here. btc is dead, btc is the king, it's like energy drink induced tandrums with every price move.

So are you saying everyone is 15 years old here because offer insights? Those 15 year olds have extensive experience in the markets too? If so I'd take their insights any day!

Obviously I'm here for the collective knowledge otherwise there is no value to me, that means that I have to distinguish between useful posts and crapy posts.
What, I'm saying that we have kids running around offering "big insights" without any or very little explanations.
I'm talking about the barage of "doom and gloom" and "to the moon" posts.
I wouldn't censor anybody, however it is becoming increasingly difficult spotting diamond posts.
