by

People may know about these fun facts already but just recently i get to know about few stuff, like 2 pizza's bought for 10,000btc....(worth $30), which could've worth a lot more now. However, it is amazing to see the bitcoin coming long way and making its place in the market and mark in the history.

I wonder what would have happened without this pizza thing. I don't think you should make a lot of fun with this. Any satoshi you lose somehow today may regret you in the future.

maybe some do regrets and i also wonder how he would feel now but the pizza guy Laszlo Hanyecz made good ROI so he has no regrets...

Re: The most important part of investing in bitcoin is timing.
by
ash.y

I disagree, as an investor the most important part of investing in bitcoin should be patience, timing comes second. Timing only plays a major role or works when you're a trader or speculative investor, investing for just a short period of time. For example, we have bitcoin enthusiasts who did invest when bitcoin was around $400-$1000 (you can call that perfect timing) but today due to lack of patience most of those investors don't have a single bitcoin due to impatience some might have sold at lost or little profit. As it's commonly said, "investors don't wait to buy (timing), they buy and wait (patience)".

I agree. My brother was one of those lucky investors who invested in bitcoin when it was $1100 and he'd been very patient and at the same time well aware of the market, which helped him to predict the market trend but having said that the crypto market is highly unpredictable and it's a high risk. Gotta be brave and smart in taking risks where the idea of loosing wouldn't freak you out but rather will teach something new.

Re: Road to $8k? Bitcoin parabolic curve kinda dangerous
by

I don't care about any profit or dangers all I care right now is what exactly is causing this price growth. there cannot be people buying more and more coins because binance got hacked or anything like that. or does people are actually joining bitcoin at this rate? doesn't makes sense but its rising fast.
What the heck are you talking about? Don't you read the news? Everyone are aware of the Fidelity and Bakkt news which is possibly behind this surge. The upcoming halving event could also be a reason. Do your research.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-05-06/fidelity-said-to-offer-cryptocurrency-trading-within-a-few-weeks

https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/05/13/bakkt-launches-bitcoin-btc-futures-at-last-crypto-market-strong/

Research always helps in predicting the surge and the dip and bitcoinForum is very helpful for updating us with the latest.

the forecast of bitcoin in terms of dip is always highly unpredictable, However the news around the world such as India banned cryptocurrency trading has effected the coin which maybe caused the dip. so news like these can help to predict the fluctuation and in my opinion it is ideal to take some fractional amount in order to minimise the risk.

Re: Uganda says cryptocurrency is risky

All things in the world have their own risks as well as cryptocurrency. Can you mention something in life that has no risk? But behind the risks that are, of course, there is the potential to gain benefits, lessons, or experiences that are useful in our lives. What is important is how we manage these risks so that they can be as minimal as possible.
Need to remember "No Risk, No Gain"

I totally agree that without risk the life seems so predictable and boring. I feel more alive when I take risks, makes my heart beats faster. Also not to be afraid of failures as it is part of excitement and it helps to draw a constructive analysis where next time one can mitigate the risk element.

It is important to understand that with what mindset are you willing to invest. Building stamina for risk taking is basic essential in the investment world and owning your own decision is what helps you to analyse your decisions. Yesterday it was a bitcoin that was suffering and today some of the others are, this is the trend where one cannot predict completely what will happen next and this is what it makes the whole trading experience exciting.

Joining Bitcoin is a matter of choice but before joining I must advise doing proper homework, research, and analysis as it will help to dive safely in the Bitcoin market.
i agree with you. Before joining or entering crypto society they MUST research on what it is all about.
You still need to work it out by yourself but you can also learn in forum. If you are going to enter crypto right now.
Forum is one of the best training ground and also for you to gather more information.

I agree that having sufficient knowledge before taking actions or doing any investments is always helpful in make constructive analysis. Forums are always good place for self learners to start from where not only it guides but also updates with latest news.

Re: Blockchain Basic education for any Citizen

Blockchain is a field that will become a necessity in future and awareness through education system is becoming important. However, teaching at elementary school is too heavy unless it is designed in the most fun way. Not imposing the blockchain education on kids but rather making it more engaging and adding to their vocabularies.

here is the link to a youtube, published by WIRED, video that i found very interesting that an experts explains the blockchain at different levels:

Re: Bitcoin with real gold
by

Gold and bitcoin have tremendous advantages. Both of us can make assets to make a profit. Both are superior in every aspect, For long term investments, in my opinion, it is better for gold, if for short term investment, it is better for bitcoin, as trading is more profitable for bitcoin, the increase is fast.

I agree, as bitcoin prices fluctuates more rapidly than gold so it is suitable for short term investment and gold is always a valuable asset to posses.

It is profitable, however for beginners it is highly recommended to start from small to get familiarity of the process with having a minimal risk involved.
