well that sucks..but then again I still think 1,500 bucks is too high for the slam of difficulty ..at end
of sept and oct in X11

probably worse if the L3+ rumor at 30gh is correct for 2,199

sheesh

might be sold out already huh?

wtf is this shit. Complete offline from germany. Cant do anything.

well don't feel alone in your pain..no one in USA could swing it either it seems

Where did you hear about an L3+ at 30 gh/s?

So, correct me if I'm wrong.  Could I just use this d3 X11 to mine cannabis coin or some other X11 coin to help keep profitability up for a longer period of time?  If everyone plans to use this to mine Dash, since it's the most profitable at the moment, that would keep attention away from other coins for a while.  Or am I misunderstanding mining X11?

I would, of course, ultimately trade the cannabis coin for a legitimate currency like Dash or BTC.

Thoughts?

Does anyone have any idea how many D3s are going to be released in the past 3 batches? I was doing some calculations on difficulty and hashrate and came up with 1 GH/s adds about 22.5 to difficulty. So, one D3 would add 337.5 at 15 GH/s. I'm trying to see if it would be worth getting some in their next release.
Rumor has it;

Batch 1 = 200 units
Batch 2 = 3000 units
Batch 3 = 3500 units

If so....by your calculations an additional 2,328,750 Difficulty from current?

Real numbers are:
B1: 250 07/18/2017
B2: 3300 07/20/2017
B3: 35000 08/03/2017

That can't be correct. I'm fairly certain that I personally know of more than 250 units being delivered from batch 1. I'd believe 2500. Also, those batch 3 numbers are completely bogus too. The 35000 number was derived from querying some web hooks on Bitmain's site and somebody made the assumption that it represented units sold and units remaining. The people spreading this FUD are either wrong or just trying to scare others into not purchasing so that the initial batches can be more profitable for longer.

35000 units were placed in stock for the last batch. Around 25k already paid. The rest, expired USD orders. That's why this batch only accept BTC and LTC.

If you don't trust my numbers, i'll come back in November and we'll see the hash rate.

So there would be absolutely ZERO reason to buy this next batch again.  ROI would be impossible.

He's full of shit.

+1 some people just trying to put people off , no chance @ 35K..

If my L3+ can still be pulling $50 a day after 1000's and tonnes of batches im sure the first few on the D3 will ROI fast...

Wow.  How long have you had your L3?  I figured it wasn't worth buying one of those anymore either.

Looking like a November batch.  At this point, I would assume a price of $1,000k or so?

Hi guys, am I thinking right here. 15GH is 15,000 MH's?

Would half the current miners be turning off when the big miners come online? of setting the difficulty some what?

I will think the ROI will be very fast for the D3 in the first 2 batches...

Yup. But that's it. Third and fourth will probably take much longer.  Unless you think Dash is going to $400-$500 sometime in the future.

I appreciate the analysis that as hash rate climbs the price climbs.  However if you use BTC as an example there is a TON of hash chasing BTC and the profitability of those miners who mine BTC for the most part is really not very good.  This is why so many people mine the "alt's" and not BTC directly.

With this much hash rate dumping on X11 even if the price climbs the return/profitability of the miners is going to really stink and by the end of the year, and is probably going to be a pretty grim picture.  I don't mine BTC directly for a reason.  And with this huge dog pile in X11 it looks like there are very good reasons to not mine X11.  Now if you were one of the lucky ones to get a DM11G in the first batches or possibly even one of the first batches from Bitmain you may have a shot at getting your ROI in good time frame, but everything after that starts to look like a daily grind to squeeze out any profit.  I say congrats to the guys who bought the first batches and will likely get rewarded for their risk taking.  Everyone else jumping in now are going to be shocked as their calculations for profits crumble.

If you really think Dash is going that high then now is the time to buy a lot of Dash and hold it.

I have Baikal A900 giants and the profitability of those miners has fallen to almost nothing already regardless of the algo that they support.  By next month if things don't change those miners may be lucky to break even after cost at this rate of decline.

It is time for a reality check on the expectations for these miners.    Ask someone who is mining X11 right now what the picture looks like already.

I bet Bitmain will delay batches to release late September. They will announce, "Driver issue. More testing!"

Have they done something like that in the past?

We are very happy to announce the next generation of iBeLink X11 miners, the DM22G which features a hash rate of 22 GH/s. High volume delivery will be in October. Interested customers are welcome to contact us for a product demonstration in China. The following are the DM22G technical specifications:

    Hash Function: X11
    Hash Rate: 22 GH/s ±5%
Power Consumption: 810 W (at the wall, with 25°C ambient temp)
Power Efficiency: 0.037 J/MH (at the wall, with 25°C ambient temp)
Number of TNB0303 chips per unit:216
    Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C
    Network Connection: Ethernet
    Power Supply: 110V to 240V, 50Hz/60Hz
    Certifications: FCC, CE
    Dimensions: 490mm(L)*350mm(W)*180mm(H)
    Weight: 19kg (with packing materials)

https://ibelink.co/blog/

Ok; it's pretty much not going to be worth buying any of these. This one will be twice as expensive and delivers two months after the d3 x11s.  Yet these are more powerful, and quickly overpower the d3 x11s.

Is $10k/year even realistic at current price of Dash?

Now these will really mess with the a5s position. I think these will be 3.5-5k because octobers difficulty will surely be taken into account.. and their more efficient then d3.

Looks like they just put up price at $6000

Where? if it says 10.8 near that 6k your looking at the old model.
[/quote]

You're right.  I read the wrong model on the main page. But that was doing 10 Ghs.  How is this one going to be half the price?

Good grief.  Read the white paper people!  Or at least the earlier posts in the thread before posting basic questions!  PLEASEEE!

Securing Round 18 would be important:

"Securing funding for this round ensures that the Wagerr team integrates into the wallet direct multi-coin and fiat<->WGR exchange service."

-> Not that I don't think 20 rounds will be sold in 14 days.

FIAT is the top keyword here. Direct + multi-coin and fiat+ wallet. Another revolutionary lead. Sorry I'd have to whip your ass again so that you'd make it beautifully.

        Shocked WGR Exchange Service???!!!  Shocked

"Ensure" is a poor choice of words....or one way to keep the hype up.  No amount of funding ensures anything gets done.  There could be delays, cost overages of earlier parts of the project that impact the ability to complete implementation of the exchange.

Not trying to peddle FUD.  I'm in on Wagerr but, working for an accounting firm, I'm sensitive to the word "ensure."

Many people getting in on this ICO are noobs and screwed up by sending ETH/BTC directly from an exchange like Coinbase.  I was one of them.  Support was very quick to help me recover the funds by reviewing the transaction ID from etherscan.

Does this mean Wagerr just wrote off the transaction fees that I didn't add to my purchase from coinbase?  I'm surprised they'd be willing to do that for so many people who have done the same thing.  Makes me a little skeptical...

I just received some Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB GPUs. I am testing with one GPU right now (having Hynix Memory).
I played around with afterburner, but I never got more than 22.5 MH/s (140W power draw according to GPU-Z) (stock settings). Is there something I can do to get better values without modifying the BIOS?

Please let us know how it goes.  I'm with the crowd that can't get a Sapphire PULSE RX580 8GB modded past the 22 Mh/s without it crashing within two minutes.  Really need some guidance here.  I've tried all the tutorials and available roms, but nothing works.  And my NITRO+ 8GB arrives on Monday.

Help! Hey Guys... A bit of a noob here, so greatly appreciate any help.

Setting up my 2nd and 3rd rig and decided to go with the RX580... Ended up with XFX RX580 8GB GTS Black Edition

Info on card:
http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-500-series/rx-580-gts-8gb-dd-rx-580p8dbd6

I was only getting 18-19 hash rate out of the box... I can't get it past 20! From what I've read the 580's should be in the high 20's at least.

This was the best I could do... In ethOS I've updated the config...
Core: I've maxed out (according to specs) at 1425.
Memory: 2220

Is there anything else I should try?? Hoping to not have to return 10 GPUs...

You're supposed to underclock the GPU and tweak the memory timings with BIOS edits.

I picked up one of those XFX RX 580s as well, but it has two different types of memory.  4GB of type 1 Samsung and 4GB of type 2 Hynix (I posted a pic from the bios editor below).
https://m.imgur.com/gallery/y74j1

So far I haven't tried to use the same straps across both types of memory...I have tried copying the 1500 from type 1 (Samsung) to only type 1, and the 1500 of type 2 to only the 2 (Hynix).  I reflashed the BIOS for 1625 as well, but it was still unstable.  I did several attempts with the 1625 Straps where I underclocked the GPU in Wattman but it didn't seem to help.

Does anyone think I should try to use the same timings "straps" for both the Samsung and Hynix?  It seems really odd/tricky to me to have 2 different types of memory to overclock independently.

As of now I have Samsung, Hynix and Elpida memory cards but never ever thought about using same straps for different memory straps.

It is even easy to soft brick your card when you flash it with right straps but something goes south during the mod bios flashing.

I would not try what you are thinking but would love to listen about the results if you do Smiley

Yep.  So basically you're saying I need to return my XFX RX580 because it's garbage for mining.  Bummer.  Thanks for the info.

No, I don't believe it's hopeless - the 2000Mhz stock clocked Hynix (H5GQ8H24MJR) is pretty bad, that's no lie. But it is NOT totally useless; it will do 30MH/s or so.

Wow.  30 MH/s would be incredible at this point.  Can that be done as simply as any other card?  Any guidance you could provide for a relative noob would be greatly appreciated...  thanks!

Re: [PRE-ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties
by
asharpguy01
on 03/06/2017, 18:18:43 UTC
I have a question that might not just apply to WGR, but any ICO.  What if Wagerr really takes off as a success story and some larger non-blockchain gambling company acquires it?  What happens to the value (or even the existence) of WGR tokens in their current form?  Since our WGR tokens are not an "investment" or stake in the company, could the acquiring company just eliminate WGR all together and replace it with a new online token or currency?  Would the company be obligated, either legally or via an effort to keep the Wagerr customer base, to maintain the WGR tokens or convert them to a new token/currency?

This just might be one of the risks with getting involved in any ICO.

I follow your line of thinking, and some ICO's that are backing a company and its work i think that could happen and be an issue, however that is not the case with wagerr.

When Wagerr fully launches, it will be completely open source and fully decentralized, meaning that there is no company to buy, no source code to acquire the world will own it Smiley

See, that's why I'm here.  Thanks for the thoughtful reply!!   Smiley  I'm stoked for you guys and think you are definitely tapping an huge opportunity here in the gambling world.

I'm relatively new to ICOs, and there's so much to process about blockchain that I completely forgot about the decentralized nature of blockchain.  But, undoubtedly, the developers of this application are certainly going to want to make some annuity money off this (not just the initial ICO round of funding).  So, I'm trying to wrap my head around how that happens.  Do they keep a large number of tokens themselves during the ICO (I'm assuming you guys are legit and not a pump and dump)?  Once the ICO is complete and the system is off and running, who maintains the website, updates the code, etc. and what is their incentive to do so?
