We normally take around 24 hours on weekdays and require 48 hours or so during weekends.

Yes, it's possible that it goes down to $0. That does not make it likely. I've been following bitcoin through every bubble and crash. It may go down to $100, it's just unlikely that it will because there will be thousands of people waiting to buy at that price.

This seems to be inconsistent behavior though. I've paid a 0.0001BTC fee (roughly 6 cents) and had transactions go through in less than 10 minutes.

@Arksun Those fees are usually charged to the MERCHANT. This is why you don't see a charge. They are already priced into whatever you are paying for.
