You are right about the whitepaper. We were being careful to try not to create hype and just provide facts, but ended up underselling the true potential. Many people probably didn't realize how unique the plans are, and the viral potential of the final product. 
A new version is already being worked on.
We will also update the website soon with more complete information on Mirai AR.
This will include details on how the content creation rewards will be calculated and distributed, details on the asset marketplace and information on revenue streams.

It is very unlikely that we would ever have any development on the hardware side of NFC payments.
Software side is interesting, but no plans for it at the moment.

We should have the information about them up within a few days.

The premined coins were for the voluntary swap from xgox.
Because there was no way to know how many people would participate, a large amount was premined.
All xgox was sent to a burn address directly by the participants.
All left over MRI (1.2 million) was also sent to a burn address. A burn address is an address where no one could possibly hold the keys, so funds sent there can never be recovered and are effectively removed from circulation.

Try checking the status using ./mirai-cli masternode status
A week is too long, but i am guessing that you have hit the start-alias button regularly, which sends you to the back of the rewards queue.
The best thing you can do is go to https://masternodes.online/monitoring/ and add your masternode ip.
It will alert you if there is any problem with your masternode.

I just wanted to provide you with some important news about max supply and also a recap of what we have achieved over the past week or two.
Ok, so max supply for Mirai is wrong. Very wrong. The good news is that the error is in your favour.
 Having recently come on board as part of the team, I have been verifying information on the coin specs and auditing the wallet code.  There were a few errors in the specs which I corrected early on but combined with needing to provide the max and circulating supply to third parties, I wanted to be sure that we were providing correct information.
Now many people don’t realize that max supply is not a value set in the coin source code (except ethereum based tokens) and possibly some other exceptions.
Max supply is the point where block rewards have dropped so low through reward halving that they are virtually non-existent.
For Mirai, this point is just below 16 million coins, which is much less than the 600 million originally printed in the specs.
So how did we get it so wrong?  An ex-team member (who was let go long before this was discovered) added the wrong info to specs. There are values in the source code that can be easily mistaken for max supply, such as Max_Money, Camount etc, so it’s possible one of these were used.
To calculate correctly, I used an excel spreadsheet to add blockcount, block times and block rewards. I also verified this by making a small ruby app to simulate the blockchain rewards over time.
They are not 100% accurate for block time which is dynamic, but the margin for error in the final totals is a fraction of a percent.
I’ve added screenshots of the two calculation methods below.

As you can see, we have been very busy and we are not slowing down any time soon.

Also I will add that http://gincoin.io/ has added Mirai to their list of masternode coins. GinCoin offers a simple alternative to setting up your own vps and masternode. I have fully investigated the service and can confirm that  you remain in full control of your coins and there is no risk in using the platform. It also extremely easy to use for anyone that isn't technically minded.

So to be clear:
Mirai max supply is 16 million (this is very good)
Mirai total/current supply is  2.25million
Mira circulating supply is 1.05million (current supply minus premine burn)

There are very few cryptocurrencies with specs that are as good as this for future value.

Nothing has changed. There is NO fork and NO update to chain or wallet. We have just corrected some incorrect information

Smart contracts are not currently implemented in Mirai, but you can bet that when they are our code will be fully audited by independent third party professionals. Our work with Mirai is our passion and we won't risk what will be years of hard work to vulnerabilities that can be easily fixed with a little more work.

3. Swap method was a way to distribute MRI without raising funds. All xgox collected was burned. All remaining MRI from premine was burned. Both verifiable by checking the burn addresses in their respective explorers.
4.Max supply is 16 million. (edited to correct max supply information) Circulating supply on the other hand is 2,185,347 as of this post with 1,200,000 sent to a burn address, leaving a true circulating supply supply of approx 985,000 MRI. Over 35% of which is locked up in masternodes.
5. I don't think more hamsters are going to help your research skills.
6. We are not, but we aim to be.

Yes, it is a little difficult. Originally each landmark on the timeline was supposed to display in depth information when they were clicked, but the script is broken.

A new and highly detailed roadmap is on the way.
For each item on the timeline we will include:

• What we are working on/ working towards.
• Why we are working on it. How it will help development.
• When completion is expected. Key dates, beta releases etc.

Currently we are aiming to complete the roadmap along with other updates in 7-10 days.
