zipkin, it would seem the rest of the world is being made aware of what a lying, scummy douche bag you are. you actually spelled out to another customer the fact you intend on burning down an individuals house - with him in it no less? Yes, you are a real piece of work. i have known it for the better part of a year now. im happy the rest of world now gets to see what an asshole you are. Karma... it's a motherfucker.

I guess this post was removed from the thread since I can't find it.  The bold emphasis is mine.
Did he really say that in a Skype chat?  I would contact the authorities right away.  What a threat!

What firmware version are you using?  I tried amt_a1_0820v01.img that AMT posted but it was giving me errors about using the --rock-freq flag in cgminer.

Which miner do you have? I get the impression they are a bit different. I got a rackmount one with 5 cards. Yours SHOULD be the same minus the rack mount case.

I got a desktop one which looks almost the same as yours, except for the casing of course, and the Pi.  So are you using the amt_a1_0820v01.img image?

EDIT:  Looking at your UI screenshots you're almost certainly not using amt_a1_0820v01.img  The one you posted looks like the one my unit came with, except yours shows the temp and mine doesn't.

The UI on the amt_a1_0820v01 image is a slightly nicer:

What you need is one of the participants of the chat if not the leaker himself to come forward. As I was a participant, but not a leaker, I have come forward with a full thread dedicated to the matter.  Regards

Microsoft can been subpoenaed for the Skype logs if need be too.

Can but whether the legal team will do it is another matter. At this point it exposes ALOT of things that need to be looked at. I have long thought it might be needed. Like I said. I got tired of reading what were basically insults towards the customers (of which most of us in the chat were), and decided its time to come out with this. Not that I had not considered it before...just that now that he has no intention of his own initiative to honor the MPP (even though he says it publicly we all saw what he says privately on more than one occasion), then I think its better to make sure this stuff is all brought to light and let the people judge the matter of the courts won't.

From what I read of the Skype logs they are extremely relevant to any lawsuit filed against AMT or Joshua Zipkin.  It's my opinion that any attorney involved in a lawsuit against AMT or Joshua Zipkin who didn't subpoena the Skype logs would be incompetent or acting in a grossly negligent manner.

I'm not a lawyer but I believe other chats he has participated in that are relevant to the lawsuit that haven't been leaked will be included as well.  I'm sure those logs would reveal so much more.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if they even revealed clear proof of criminal activity.

I'm not involved in a lawsuit with them but I don't see why anybody who is wouldn't be doing this.

seems a bit used. will you make roi ? not speculative roi.

Hell no, not without extra hashing power to compensate for the 18 billion increase in network difficulty since the time we ordered until the time delivered.  No way.

These http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181040 I recommended them to him. It appears those are the same ones. However he can confirm.

How did you choose these over the stock ones?  I'd like quieter fans but I'm not willing to lower the airflow because of the heat.
I have no idea what fans are in my unit or what the airflow is.

120MM fans. If you have the same unit. If you have something else post pics. The recommendation is for the rackmount versions.

I got a desktop unit and the fans blow hot/warm air unless ambient temperature is ~65F.  There is definitely room for two more fans on the other side of the case, so I may try quieter fans and compensate for airflow with another fan or two.  I'm very hesitant to do anything with the hardware though in fear of breaking it.

swapped out the fans for fans not soo loud.

What fans did you replace them with?

It looks like I got a different unit than everybody else?  At least as far as the case and Pi (mine is red and thus from China) goes.  The insides look kinda the same, bent power connectors and all.

I just took some pics:

For the record, my package had the red DHL Inspection sticker, was really beat up and taped together like hell, and had a plank of bamboo at the bottom.  At least it wasn't a rusty piece of metal like others on here got...

My unit acquired an IP via DHCP over ethernet, out of the box.  The SSH login was root/admin.

Does anybody know where I can download the Raspberry Pi firmware image for the 1.2Th machines?
I've tried dumping the image from the original using "dd" but when I copy it to a different card the machine won't connect to the network.

So you are DDing the card over to a new one? And the new card won't allow a connection to the network?

I would recommend setting the IP manually in the new card....cd to /etc/network?Huh? since I don't know what distro that's based on, that folder should be something like that. In there you will find a file that should have the IP.....could be ifcfg-eth0 or something like that. Edit that file with the network settings you want and you should be all good to go.

If you need more info I can post up...I have not gotten my miner yet so I wont have anything to go by. Once I do I can post some more help on it. I am sure there are others with knowledge of it that could post up too.

I was finally able to get the unit's Pi (red-pi, from China) to boot from another Pi's SDCard.  I was unsuccessful at building a version of cgminer that could see the cards, though.  I believe they are using a custom cgminer patch, as there are two versions on the original SDCard: "/usr/local/bin/cgminer" and "/var/www/cgminer", which is the custom patched one and the one being used by the UI.

The UI is not so great and the version of cgminer they have on the image wasn't compiled with ncurses, so there is no nice terminal view.  I hate that.

I'll post the original Pi image so you or anybody else can load it onto a Pi you have there and look around.  Right now there is nowhere for us to download an official image.

AMT, where can I download a copy of the SDcard image for the 1.2Th unit?
Also a copy of the source for the version of cgminer that the Pi has.  It looks like a custom build.

Thanks,
Asprin

I received a package today from China via DHL.  Turned out to be a 1Th miner from AMT!  I've ran it for 3 hours (too hot right now, ill run it full time later) and it was getting between 1-1.2Th/s.  It was so loud and hot though, I had to turn it off until I can find a better placement for it.
It came with only a power cord and nothing else.  No documentation at all.  Two USB and one ethernet port.  The interface is super simple, about as simple as you can get.
Once I get shell access to it I can explore more.  I definitely plan on writing a better interface than this one at the very least though, that's for sure.

I had no shipping notice and it was a complete surprise that it arrived today.  I hope to hear from them about what they plan to do for the MPP though, be it hosted mining or extra hardware.

But I did get the unit and for 3 hours it hashed at about the advertised rates.  I guess only time will tell if the unit will succeed.

I've literally lost count how many times AMT has said they are shipping and not a single miner was actually sent out.

Has anybody else who paid with Bitcoin joined or started a lawsuit?  I'm afraid I have no legal recourse since I paid with Bitcoin.

I have 4x Gigabyte 270x and I'm getting 240Kh/s per card with scrypt-n.  I was getting 500Kh/s with just scrypt.

I might be interested in getting the chips, but I want more than just 50.  AMT sells 50 chips for $4,300 and 75 for $6,450. (http://advancedminers.com/bitcoin-mining-hardware/coin-craft-a1-chip/)
Why would I take such a big hit?  I paid a little over $6,000 for the miner.

Give me 96 chips, the extras for such a long delay, so I can have Technobit assemble them for me with their boards.  This will be roughly an extra $3,600 cost for me, not to mention all the accessories included.  I think that is a very fair deal given the circumstances.

If I really could have a fully assembled, tested and working 1.2Th miner within 7 days though I would probably just choose that option.

We can just send you technobit boards anyway since we're producing them now anyway. What's your order number.

AMT I tried to reach out to you about this.  Is this still a deal?

Started Merged Scrypt-N Mining, anybody else?
by
asprin
on 14/05/2014, 08:14:00 UTC
So after seeing all the big scrypt ASICs about to hit the market (apparently scrypt-n now too...) I decided to switch my small 3x Gigabyte 270x GPU rig to merge mine some scrypt-n coins, Vert/Monacle/Parallax.  I just wanted to post my experiences on here and the final hash rate I've settled on with these cards and scrypt-n; they were doing 500Kh/s on regular scrypt.

I'm using BAMT 1.6.2 running live off a USB stick.  Average about 230Kh/s per card on scrypt-n with my config, which seems to be able right for this card.

I was wondering if anybody else was using 270x to mine any scrypt-n coins and what hash rate they are getting?

See the link below for the output of Vertminer on BAMT:
