Re: Mining rig cases with separate hot and cold air flow

I stuck 20 kW of ASICs in a single 48U rack without any special framing or panels, and it was fine - average temp per machine was around 50C. if you're trying to go for density then rackmount is the best solution...

so pull the unit and debug it at a bench. this has been the traditional method of working on large scale cluster deployments for decades, why do it any differently for mining?  Commie's example is the ideal way of running a large group of mining rigs.

invalid or stale? is the hashrate reported on the pool significantly less than what it says in your mining software?

E5-2667v2 is still pretty good for RandomX (especially on lighter versions like for Wownero) - 5 KH/s per CPU is possible

FusionSilicon X2 (v4) overclock firmware
by
astraleureka
on 13/03/2021, 10:43:25 UTC
I have successfully overclocked the FusionSilicon X2 (myr-groestl, blake2s, keccak) using V4 control boards. Hashrate is now up to 369 GH/s myr-groestl, 1.5 TH/s blake2s, 92 GH/s keccak - approximately $10/day at current prices.

There are two versions available, up to 23% increased hashrate at 860W draw (at the wall). Please contact me on discord - eureka#4339 - if you would like a copy of this firmware. No dev fee, send me a one time donation for unlimited installs of the firmware.

Re: 2Miners Is Reducing It’s Solo Pool Miners Blocks Up to 50% To Subsidize Its PPLN
by

this is pretty normal for coins on any algorithm ... the only unusual part is that they put all PPLNS payouts in solo blocks only. why not include PPLNS payments in all blocks they create?

It's not a pool, it's some ASIC manufacturer and they just send coins straight to Binance and dump them. This address is 98% of GRS network hash, for over a year, good luck getting them to do anything.

Baikal has been out of business for almost a year, anybody claiming to sell brand new Baikal is a scammer. You can find used miners for sale online elsewhere, though

Re: Rules of Damage Void warranty in Manufactories
by

all void warranty if used for mining. but if you dont tell them it was used for mining, how will they know Grin

With old GPUs its impossible to tell because you can always flash back to stock bios. However maybe newer GPUs got some type of bios lock or bios counter similar to what some Android phones had to prevent rooting. No idea if its implemented yet however.

Usually there is nvram storage for things like OC history, max temps and power usage, etc. all retrievable by .manufacturer in warranty claim

Algorithm is NOT ASIC RESISTANT. OW1 ASIC can be reprogrammed to target this algorithm, GPU and FPGA miner is very feasible

Thanks.

IMO no matter which coins, their "ASIC RESISTANT" is not 100% guaranteed .

If it should fix in graph, should I say "ASIC delay"?

if your coin was not tiny, FPGA would be able to target it in a few days

Looks like it might just be a slightly larger FPGA in the same series as the F1 (maybe a K410 versus the original K325)
