Re: Enabling Wake on Lan on my Miner? WAN Setup

I actually have made it to work on 4G. The problem is now after a limited time, it doesnt work anymore. WOL always work in my local network. But wake on wan only works for 15 minutes after shutdown. Then ip gets flushed or something....

I read u needed to add a static ARP entry, so with netsh i made the ip static in the ARP table
But its still not working after 15 minutes

any advice ?

Ah yea, it's getting back to me now. It is something to do with the router forgetting where your IP is after some time after your PC shuts down. I think that was why you needed to use the broadcast IP address (.255) so that the router can just blindly send out the magic packet without having to know where to send it to. If your router doesn't support this, I haven't found a solution yet, that's why I'm using the smart switch (see above).

what kind of smart switch you use?

I use a sonoff wifi smart switch. Something like this:
https://cdn.itead.cc/media/catalog/product/s/o/sonoff_03.jpg

You connect it to your Wi-Fi and control it with your phone. The software works on the Internet also not just on the local network. When you energise the switch, it will basically short the 2 output terminals. So what I did was make a splitter for the power on/off pins of the mainboard, connect one pair to the physical power switch of your PC case, and the other pair to the 2 output terminals of the sonoff. You'll then be able to turn on/off your PC with the physical like you would normally or with the sonoff wirelessly inside or outside of your home network Wink

In your router port forwarding settings, try changing the local IP to x.x.x.255 where the x.x.x. is the first three groups of your local IP. For example if your PC is 192.168.0.2 then set it to 192.168.0.255. The .255 tells the router to broadcast the magic packet rather than sending it to a particular IP. I know it shouldn’t be relevant but I got this to work in one of my networks I setup. However, recent routers these days seem to have disabled this feature (not allowing you to use .255, for security reasons). If this is the case, I have not found a working solution either - I gave up and switched to using a smart switch wired up to power switch jumper of the MB instead.

Hope this helped, good luck!

I don’t think removing pool info will do it for antminers but you could try. Mine will seem to continue to hash even if the pools are down or my internet connection is disconnected (but with pool info intact). However, one way to ‘soft stop’ that I can think of is to restart the miner. During the start up process, it will not hash right away so you could use that window to turn off the machine. However does doing a soft stop actually help with the electronics, I don’t think so.

Hey bro,

If you just want to restart your miners remotely, the easiest way (but not the safest way) is to simply setup DDNS (if your farm doesn’t have a static IP) and port forwarding in your router then you can access the miners just like you are in the same network.

But if you are looking for a software to also monitor all your miners in one place, the best one I tried so far is cryptoglance. Check them out. You would still need to setup DDNS and port forwarding for cryptoglance to be able to read your miners stats though.

Hope this helps!

I am mining about three days. No payout received yet. I am quitting.

my address
HCXTC5ooae67BpSUe2Nvi1D4KXKDgakHAh

if you have been mining at dac.signal2noi.se you will need to go to the discord chat for their pool support and speak to gribbly.
i believe payouts are required to be done manually and a block was found this morning so you will be due some coins.

I've never used Discord before, can anyone advise me how to use it? Do I go to the Discord link on the website? https://discord.gg/DDP4Nt <-- this one? When I clicked it, it says 'Invite Invalid'.

the pool dev is processing payouts now. you should have your HDAC soon.

Ok, I can confirm I have received the payout. I got 0.17DAC from a GTX670 mining for 24hrs. Pretty useless lol.

I am curious what is the reward for this coin with Gtx 1060 , I guess I will switch my miners to this ones after I see confirmation of a payout and confirmation of mined block.

If the pool has almost no hashrate it takes ages and maybe I mine a lot of time and never receive anything. Once the hashrate starts to grow just a little bit I will switch to this coin, probably the profitability should be higher than Zcash which I am mining in Nicehash right now.

I can confirm still no payout received. This is gonna take a while!

Still haven't received a payout from the pool.

when did you start mining on it?

22nd June. Wallet address: HV6***9nx

there hasn't been a block since you started mining i'm afraid. pool is very low hashrate and our first block occurred prior to you joining, this is why you have not yet had any payouts yet.
When a block occurs, you will receive a payout from it.

Ah I see, thanks.

$100 Bitmain Coupons For $10
by
attakorn
on 10/05/2018, 05:57:51 UTC
Hi there,

I have some spare Bitmain coupons that I would like to sell:

3 coupons worth $100 each with expiry of 2018-06-01 18:10:00 (probably GMT+7 time which is where I live) that I would like to sell at $10.

I just need the email that you use to login to Bitmain to do the transfer. If you live in Bangkok, I would be more than happy to meet up to do the coupon transfer face to face. If you live outside Bangkok, we could do a video call where I share my screen for you to see that I really do possess these coupons in my Bitmain account or you could trust me because I am a proper human-being that will deliver on what I promised!

Payment can be made via Paypal for payment protection. I had completed 2 previous transactions on eBay but they were ending my previous listings because they wouldn't allow digitally-delivered coupons to be sold. But rest assured, I have 100% positive feedback and you can verify it here https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=attakorn_s

If you're interested, send me a private message and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Sawasdee krup K Kanit Smiley I'm also living in Thailand and am expecting my machine today. Can I ask you for some advice regarding customs procedure krup? I'm trying to send you a PM but it says you have set to not receive messages from newbies so I can't send you a message krup.

Thank you for your concern, really appreciated. I got the machine last night, 6 hours later than expected (Due to FedEx just would like to confirm me a minor issue for product declaration). Thank you for your information. My trick is, I imported it under "company name". This company registered with the custom few months already  because I regularly bought 1-2 Bitmain ASIC  every month. The Customs will ease the process when you are company which will make it more convenient than individual. Of coz, FedEx is best speed comparing with UPS and DHL.

Now the machine run and I received around 440 SC / hour.

I also got this but only for two times in one month. When it happened I noticed that my priority 1 mining pool’s server went from alive to dead. A reboot solved the issue (miner resumed mining on priority 2 server and when server 1 came back alive, it switched to that fine with no problems). I think it may be to do with the firmware not coping with a server going down and switching to priority 2 server.

The first time it happened I was on the default firmware for the mid-Sept batch (17.5GH) and the second just happened yesterday and I am on the 20th Nov 2017 firmware (latest version at time of posting).
