Guys, where can I get some help with the redemption?

I am stuck at creating a new NEM address, when I try to start the webclient at http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/ java window pops up for a few seconds then closes. I am on firefox, have tried both 32 and 64bit java versions, tried chrome, tried it on my linux partition, tried it on another computer Sad. Also tried installing the offline client, I get a nice shortcut on the desktop that when started does nothing Sad

Please help.

have you installed java 8 before runnign the client?!

Yes I have the latest Java installed http://imgur.com/D8GDsPa

This is the window I see running for a few seconds after pressing the link http://imgur.com/txBr3Ql

BTW when are we lowering the fees to 0.1nxt.

Since the reddit tipbot is ready and per tip is costing 1nxt, not very encouraging.

http://www.reddit.com/r/NXT/comments/1xsf9t/the_nxt_tipping_bot_has_arrived_go_ahead_and_test/

Edit: marketing with tipbot Imagine someone going around with 20-50k nxt and gives every user a 1nxt tip they see, it would surely make most of them to atleast try out/redeem the nxt. But would be better after lowering the fee to 0.1nxt first.

"Thanks! I'm going to enable tipping on all subreddits after a bit of testing.
Also, you can tip a redditor that isn't registered in the bot yet, and he will receive a message with instructions on how to get his tip."

Tipping with 0.1 NXT fee would be nice, yes.

Any news regarding lowering the fee, CfB?

If we want to get new users through tipping, the client installation has to be a few clicks affair, on par with altcoins, because the Average Joe will not bother installing java, making a .bat file and using a browser client, don't you think? Other than that, I think tipping could be a major marketing tool.

Any new ideas here? Decentralized internet and cloud services based on the (Nxt) platform, coupled  with a currency and a Proof of Work (or Service) system, that gives the users an initiative to provide space and resources?
