Ok but why is this system better than ethereum's? is there a possibility to change it in the future if things start going grim?

will btc halving eventually start decreasing hash power

I can not figure it out. If miners get less and less BTC each halving wouldn't they eventually start decreasing hash power when BTC value stops rising making the blockchain prone to 51% attack?

Hi, bittrex just scammed me, had some agoras there. Are they permanently lost? I wonder why don't they just remove bitcoin wallet with 30 days email notice.

Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments
Hi there Tony, I was curious about byteball recently and looked up what you did there. I wonder why you think it is better to give witness spots to democratically elected candidates instead of giving them to the biggest wallets. I can understand that in case of collusion big wallets lose everything and on the other hand elected politics can win a lot of money and lose only trust but they can always explain their action blaming hack for example. It is counterintuitive to me and I really do not understand it. It would be a really nice incentive to hold byteball too. Imagine 12 top wallets earning bytes, accumating more and more to be a witness.
wallet size is just one of many criteria, let users decide. And users would reasonably select those who have something to lose both within byteball and outside it.
I don't see how witnesses can win by misbehaving.

So basically still almost no one knows about it. Market just start reacting and shift went 200% up in last month. the address of the first full decentralized website will be: www.shiftnrg.org thanks to Jenga DNS which allows standard dns addresses. Hosted on 100> nodes. All competition despite hard marketing and not being open source is at least 3 months behind in product development.
It ends bans to torrent sites whistle blowers sites and many other things
price is anticipated to pump as soon as it goes alive and many many many news will be written about it

I have done lots of research to find this coin and since there are so many new coins and icos which I can't follow I wonder if fellow agoras holders have any good coins to recommend
Only skycoin, i knew it because someone in tauchain's thread mention it as a long(time) project.
Ps *broken english
Thanks man, I've added nice christmas stash to my longterm portfolio.

Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments
Can a dev explain me why voting for 12 witnesses is better than automatically assigning witnesses to the biggest wallets. In case of schism/ collusion they lose everything so why trusting democracy instead of those who have money at stake?
Witnesses must post to the DAG. A silent wallet as a witness is pointless (even if it is the biggest).
If you give a spot for the biggest wallet he will join if there is money. If not the sec one will.
Could be. Would need a fork. It is not the way it is designed today.
that is why I am asking why voting is better than common sense.

I like this project very much but I do not understand why there is only 12 witnesses. 7 people can very easily collude or get captured and then the network is basically dead. Why not more?
