Yeah I was wondering about that last night... You can see where I joined for a brief moment on the graph XD I was getting really inconsistent, low payouts though. Like every 30 min 0.02 888. Where as normally I get like 100+ an hour on a pool. So, not sure what the deal is with that, but meh XD

Here, let me explain a little about the SXSW connection.
The Octocoin dev team has 8 devs. Yes, they are THAT bent on the number 8. And they wanted to have a cool announcement, so they went in to a zero-gravity chamber at SXSW at 18:08 to press a button, essentially launching the coin. 8 devs launch a coin at 18:08 in zero-gravity. Thats... thats pretty frickin' cool if you ask me!
Now that being said, the devs clearly went to SXSW. That probably explains some of the twitter delays and what not because hell, if I paid to go to SXSW I would be spending all of my time there too!
There is a great little community forming around this coin, I'm loving it! Also, we are in first by almost 20% in the bittrex poll!

sent octocoinpool (dot) tk pool operator a message about gaps about an hour long where coins do not show up even though dashboard registers me mining. Not sure if it's faster to contact here or through pool's email.
Honestly, this seems to happen on every pool.

See... what blows my mind is the fact all of you haven't abandoned ship yet. New coins come a dime a dozen, there are like 2 or 3 coins coming out every single day at this point. Yet you're still stickin' around with someone who clearly doesn't know what he's doing? I just started mining 888 instead, fuck it.
