Re: PhoenixMiner 5.7b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8a  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8a_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8a_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8a :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8a

I am holding Zcash as well  but my latest favorite is Veil as I like the idea of  delegated staking, which will allow staked Veil to be held offline in your hardware wallet.

Re: Where does all the tokens mistakenly sent to wrong wallets go?

The transactions are irreversible and cannot be undone. If it goes to an existing wallet there is some hope to get back, but it if goes to a non existing address they will be lost forever. This is why we have to be very cautious when making transactions and check them multiple times.

Re: Is Binance Chain a treat to Ethereum?
by

Whatever is Binance  doing is with sense but I do not think a centralized chain would be a threat to ETH platform. BNB coin itself will be soon a threat  to each coin as it is going against the market trends and it is  increasing during the bear market.

Re: Accepting multiple cryptocurrencies in ICO
by

ICOs are collecting funds in multiple currencies and on that way they can get more funds. It is a good thing as investors are holders of different currencies. It is only and administrative thing and has not much with the success of the project.

Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD

Sometimes we have to make hard decisions if we do not want to allow  that a coin takes us down. We have to take the loss and get out of the investment , but if we are extra confident with the project then we can choose the long HODL option.

Doing KYC has the benefit of sorting out scammers with multiple accounts. KYC requirement should be announced before the bounty starts and everybody can decide to participate or not under KYC conditions.

Facebook is late in the game, but they have so much power and  strong customer base ( over 2 billion active users monthly) that whatever they do it will have big impact on the crypto market, hopefully on a positive way in terms of mass adoption.

Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad?
by
avonka
on 19/04/2019, 23:46:34 UTC
The ICO market was not regulated for too long and many investors lost their trust in investing. 2017 we could see the golden age of ICOs and now it is time for upgrade in investing through IEOs. The new model is more secure for the investors.

Re: Is product important for a project?
by
avonka

The working product is very important even in the ICO phase, otherwise it would be a speculative project which I am not a big fan. It is important that we can check if the team delivers on their promises on time.
