ANNOUNCEMENT
As many have asked on what are we working on, as we've been rather silent, we'd like to inform you that we're currently working on the following things:
1. We've started discussions with several exchanges for listing ARO. We don't have any dates yet, as it does not depend on us, but the discussions have been initiated.
2. We're preparing to launch the alias system, allowing you to register an unique name for your wallet and be able to receive transfers on that alias.
3. An ARO Raffle will be launched soon, based on the aro blockchain with a trustless draw.
4. The Windows GUI Wallet's design is being remade by Deckard Coin

sounds good  Cool

but why not create multi platform wallet dev? instead of wasting your time to build windows only wallet  Undecided

Thanks for the node list. I'm not a tech expert, my question is:"Where do you get the node list? Do the dev's publish it?"

That's a good question, I would also know to know the answer Smiley And by the way neither I am a tech expert, maybe the answer is really banal Smiley

you get them from the other guys on internet who have better internet connections  Grin . no, i'm not kidding  Grin

basically when you run daemon/wallet, you can see any address of nodes/peers you're connected to.

however for some reason if you can not discover any peers (because of ISP firewall, AV, etc), you need manually adding peers address to conf files.

so to avoid this problems, usually crypto devs just simply hardcode couples nodes address in sourcecode. in this case, twist dev hardcode 3 nodes i think (i'm lazy i don't read twist sourcecode).

i think i read someone before that s/he was manage to connected to more than 30 peers, you better ask her/him for moooooaaarrr address  Grin

just don't. yobit is sh*tty exchange  Grin

If yobit is like that, then, how do you call, stocks.exchange?  Tongue It would take days to withdraw from stocks because they will give you 404 page upon doing that. Have you experienced that? You'll never know if you're gonna get back your coins or not. And the thing is, their listing fee is too high with that kind of service.

i never used stock.exchange before, so idk. but yobit guys disable deposit/withdraw some crypto and simply blame devs for wallet issue, where in fact there's no problem at all with wallet, etc.  Grin

I have noticed it needs quite some time to confirm the transaction enough times to become stable. It seems everybody is making 20 coins every time they stake, but I guess everybody has got the same quantity of coins at the airdrop. Would this number change if you are holding a different quantity of coins in the address?

no, block reward are same 20 twist, if you see 20.0001 or 20.xxx that is because of transactions fees, twist minimal fees is 0.0001.
20 = block reward without transactions
20.xxx = block reward with transactions (you collect small twist from fees)

That's actually a good point. Is there an addnode option for the at wallet, and nodelist?

I can only ever see 3 nodes, no matter how long I'm staking.
from where you got those peers? my wallet has a very connection and i couldnt find more nods to add there
about the stake performance, i noticed heavily reduced rewards since 2 days ago, it seems more and more wallets are coming up for stake lately

twist.conf

addnode=107.191.46.29:17461
addnode=45.77.78.145:17461
addnode=86.234.58.11:17461
addnode=178.49.192.210:17461
addnode=176.197.73.196:17461
addnode=144.202.1.21:17461
addnode=107.178.114.153:17461
addnode=[2001:19f0:5:3b8f:2bcc:c7d8:ca0b:c44a]:17461
addnode=95.84.33.242:17461
addnode=60.41.154.54:17461
addnode=24.68.117.123:17461
addnode=180.216.59.64:17461
addnode=99.231.161.157:17461
addnode=24.107.205.156:17461
addnode=167.114.103.43:17461
addnode=51.6.225.3:17461

Have checked the transaction explanations before. Aware of the fact it means someone else beforehand generated the block but to have more than half the blocks do that, seems a bit odd. Also I have 30+ node connections so that can't be an issue either. Anyways will keep on staking.

well afaik it's pretty common on proof of stake based crypto. not only you who generate many orphan blocks, specially right now when network height so efing high  Grin

Hey everyone, glad to be part of the TWIST project!
Just wanted to find out is it normal for so many stakes of TWIST to come back as orphaned? Over half the stakes that come through the TWIST wallet seem to not be accepted, just curious what other people's experience around this was too.

Glad you mentioned it, same with me. All of the "orphaned" ones have the following status:
"Status: conflicted, broadcast through 3 nodes"

Devs, any info on why this is happening?

Will any methods for eliminating these conflicts be adopted?

Thank goodness, thought it was only me that was having that issue! Thought maybe my computer was not fast enough or something but looks like other people were having this issue too - do wonder what will be done to avoid these conflicts.

Also it makes me curious what the optimal size of stake to have is too because regardless of the size of the stack, the max amount of TWIST mined is 20 to 20.0001 to 20.0002 and wonder it if it worth splitting the big stack up. It tends to split itself up anyways.

afaik when you stalking to maximize luck of your mined block to get accepted on network, your wallet need to connected to many nodes/peers. for example my wallet are connected to 13 - 15 peers. of course your wallet balance also into calculation, the bigger your balance meaning more "mining" power.

After the first, second and third Round, there was a price Drop right after Distribution. Last time the Drop was very low and short after that the rise began.

ya i missed that opportunity, 0.05 btc/gbyte  Sad Sad Sad
