i have sold 8ghs jalapeno last week on ebay for ~400$, it was auction from 1$
And S1s are going for like $590 a pop here.
eBay prices insanely jacked up.
Mounting them onto boards is the easy part (a hot air rework station is best, but a heat gun will do in a jiffy), getting the boards made is the slightly more difficult part, getting boards designed the hard part; the datasheet doesn't exactly have a reference implementation in it. Though it does mention that the protocol is compatible with the earlier A3255, and at a glance it looks like the pinout is the same.. so odds are you wouldn't have to worry too much about the board design; existing ones should have some pointers.
