Re: Token & Coin | What is the difference ?
by
awosesun
on 27/09/2018, 17:29:33 UTC
Coins are just method of payment while tokens may present a company’s share, give access to product or service and perform many other functions. Coins are currencies that can be used for buying and selling things. You can buy a token with a coin, but not vice versa. Coin operates independently, while token has a specific use in the project’s ecosystem.

Creating a token is easier than creating a coin, as you don’t have to create a new code or modify already existing one  you just use a standard template from platforms like Ethereum, that are blockchain-based and allow anyone to create tokens in just few steps. Using a template for creating tokens provides smooth interoperability, so users can store different types of tokens in one wallet. Ethereum was the first to simplify the process of creating a token, being not the last reason why tokens flooded the market.

Re: Has Trump improved the economy?
by

on 27/09/2018, 16:54:21 UTC
I don't think he's made it worse, but when he took office the economy wasn't exactly in shambles.  In other words, he inherited a pretty good economy from Obama.
...
He can't take credit for everything though.

We will see whether or not he has made it worse when the effects of his trade policy kick in. He will have to take credit/blame that. I predict that he will make it worse, and his actions could trigger the next recession.

You are very correct, the trade policy is the determinant afterall. Though, he has significantly improved the economy, the unemployment rate was drstically reduced and the US stock market record all time high under his administration. But, there is a saying that; ends justifies the the means, let's just wait and see what the trade policy will bring.

Difference between Digital currency and cryptocurrencies
by
awosesun
on 27/09/2018, 16:03:16 UTC
I was introducing cryptocurency to one of my friend and after so many explanation, he asked me the difference between the two currencies, so below was my answer to him

These forms of currencies are inherently similar. However, their similarity devolves into distinct features when they are examined more critically. Here are some of the major differences between digital currency and cryptocurrency.

1. Decentralization vs. centralization:

Banking system, a majority of digital currencies are regulated by regulatory bodies like the Federal Reserve or other designated government parastatals. This means that transactions are constantly monitored, and their value determined by these regulatory bodies.

On the other hand, cryptocurrencies are fully decentralized. This means that no institution is set aside to regulate them. The rules are set by its community. As a result, the viability of a cryptocurrency is highly dependent on the strength its community can garner.

2. Privacy:

Privacy in this sense refers to the ability to conceal the information of the account owner.

With digital currencies, this is practically impossible. To open a digital account, you need to upload your photo and fill in your personal details, to make use of services like PayPal, you have to fill in your information like name and address. Hence, you can easily be tracked.

On the other hand, you don’t necessarily need to disclose any of your personal information when opening a wallet for cryptocurrency trading. In fact, coins like Dash are available to provide full anonymity, and this is one of the reasons why cryptocurrencies were widely used on the dark web.

3. Transparency:

The framework of digital currencies only allows approved entities to get access to the transaction information. Information regarding transactions of which you’re not directly connected is withheld from you.

On the other hand, cryptocurrency transactions are made available to the public domain. Even though the people behind the transactions are unknown, this way, you can personally monitor how much money is in the system.

4. Legal framework:

Most digital currencies are backed by a recognized central authority. Having legal support from government and financial institution establishes their general usage and acceptance.

On the other hand, cryptocurrencies aren’t backed by any form of a recognized body. As a consequence, they’re not yet fully recognized as a legal tender worldwide.

5. Dominance:

Due to their recognized backing, digital currencies are accepted all over the world. Carrying out transactions with digital currency isn’t restricted by geographic borders, race or even belief systems.

Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, are loners. They are only accepted by a small group of institutions and compared to other centralized digital coins, their popularity doesn’t measure. Although analysts pose that this will soon change and government regulations will be more favorable towards cryptocurrency.

6. Transaction interference:

Since transactions are monitored by central authorities when using digital currency, they can easily flag transactions suspected to be suspicious or even freeze an account temporarily on the request of the owner. This makes transaction reversible.

On the other hand, once a transaction is completed with cryptocurrency, it is automatically added to the Blockchain and is forever irreversible.

7. Value fluctuation:

For digital currencies, its value is determined and regulated by financial institutions. This makes the currency relatively stable.

Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, are unregulated. This makes them highly volatile and susceptible to slight behavioral changes in its community.

Hope this will help many newbie here. Cause i myself still learning.

Blockchain is the best database ever!
by
awosesun
on 21/09/2018, 02:07:30 UTC
blockchain technology is – at its core – a federated, cloud-based database. Unlike other databases with which you may be familiar, a blockchain database preserves the history of every change ever made, is fault tolerant, encrypted, and immutable. Multiple parties are required to approve changes, while unauthorized changes (and hacks) are rejected. It is these key features that together provide the trust in the database (whether it exists on the public interent or on a private intranet) that leads people to see it as a mechanism to store and transfer goods and information of value.

Re: ETH or EOS? which coin will survive?
by
awosesun
on 21/09/2018, 01:37:43 UTC
Definitely ETH has more survivability.  Ethereum was the first to successfully pioneer and develop smart contracts which so many ICOs are based upon.  2017 was the year of the ICO generating billions of dollars in funds raised.  If there were no ethereum, there wouldn't be the same ICO success we see now.

But why not both?  There is no reason they can't both survive as long as either are flexible to change and further develop in order to generate business value.

You are right but i still give it to EOS, though EOS is still new and very soon everyone will see it's full potential. Unlike Ethereum, EOS is an application platform, which allows anyone to write code and publish it to the blockchain and run it on the blockchain without needing to ask for permission. Simply, it is a hosting environment for decentralized applications, whereas Ethereum is like a micro-controller, EOS is an like an operating system running on a multi-core processor.

Crypto market is not just for anyone, infact if your experience is not enough, you shouldn't near the market because if you go there with a million dollars, you might come back with nothing. So, crypto market is not for anyone.

by

Politician expecially from africa will always be looking for ways to keep their looted fund from their country. Cryptocurency is a perfect place for them to hid the fund as its not traceable to anyone and also decentralized. Infact, this is one of the reason why crypto wil be having problem because crypto is a coverup place for corrupt politician

Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand
by

on 13/09/2018, 13:58:35 UTC
Cryptocurency is very very difficult to understand most expecially the trading aspect of it. Cryptocurency is a digital money and decentralized, trading can not be seperated from crypto because it's a fundamental part of it. If anyone can understand crypto trading very well, then i think then crypto shouldn't be difficult for you.

Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites?
by
awosesun
on 12/09/2018, 22:39:59 UTC
There are many things to consider if you want to buy a good ICO, ico rating is not just enough. Some of the things you need to consider are as follows: The team hadling a project is also important as weather to invest in a project or not, does the team have idea on what they are doing, the team experience matters a lot. The roadmap is one of the thing to consider, the website, the project prototype is also important. All of this can be ised to rate ICO, though, you need to rate ico yourself to know whether to invest or not that waiting for any site to rate for you.

Re: 100 usd enough to start trading ?
by
awosesun
on 12/09/2018, 10:14:51 UTC
I have 110 $ ...witch crypto is best to start trading with a small amount as 100 $ actually i'm in etherium ... i see a verry small progress .. is there another crypto more profitable and faster with 100 $ ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
with the situation of ethereum now, you only have two options to do, to stay or to convert it to any other cryptocurrency in the market. but if that was my investment, I'd rather choose cardano, xrp or eos.

You said if it were you, you will choose cardano, xrp or eos, but the guy is not talking on a coin he can invest on, he has 100 dollars and seeking opinion whether its enough or not. Trading is quiet different from holding. If its holding then he should follow your advice but if its trading he should consider many factores which experience trader has alreading given. But as for me i will advice him to get up to 250 dollars.
