Any suggestions on a vertcoin pool for someone only doing 90Kh? I don't recognize any of the names on the vertcoin.com pool page but dedicatedpool, and that's a 2% fee. I picked a P2P node with low latency at random, I don't know that going P2P is going to be the right path for me.  Tongue

EDIT: I let cudaminer autotune, and it picked K4x32 for my 650ti boost, but I"m running about 2% rejection rate at 64*C and gettng occassional "result did not validate on CPU" errors.

okay just realised, I missed your point in my previous message.
You need to chose a p2pool close to where you leave for latency reason.
Other alternative is to install a private node on your computer and run on it.

edit: realised, I missed (again) your point... choose a pool which gets a lot of blocks.
But to be honest at 90kh, vertcoin won't be profitable at all.

Yeah, 1.2 vertcoin in 12 hours so far. Heck, I'd have to look it up, but it still may be more profitable than doge. Tongue

anyone tried a 750 non ti ? looking for the hashrates

With the scrypt algorithm, I am getting 255 KH/s max. That's with the MSI GAMING N750 TF 1GD5/OC card. My overclock settings are +135 MHz on the core clock and +125 MHz on the memory clock. My cudaminer settings are "-i 0 -C 1 -H 1 -l T4x24 -m 1". I am using the 02/18/2014 release of cudaminer and I haven't tried any other algorithms because I have been mining only since Thursday.

You should try the latest version, which has been tuned for Maxwell.

Ok, how do I set my gtx 680

cudaminer to change pools if 1 cant connect for a certain amount of time?

Would like to do multiple pools.

I got this so far, but i want to add more pools

cudaminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://minercrew.org:3336 -u Miner.user -p password
cudaminer.exe -d 0,1,2 -i 1,0,0 -l auto,S27x3,28x4 -C 0,2,1

HElp will be appreciated and maybe i can donate??  Smiley

Use cudamanager to run cudaminer.

I have 1.8 helixcoins!  ....  Undecided

Today's cudaminer release won't help me, as I have a compute 3.0 card, correct?

I deleted all my maxcoin configs, so am trying K1024x32 on my 650ti boost. Getting 63Mh.

here neither the official pool, the one at hashfast.de or dwarf are working... those who claim dwarf works can post your cgminer config please?

This is keccak, so you have to use the same config as you did for maxcoin

I joined a pool at random - hashrapid. They're still compiling their wallet, but mine says no blocksource available . Guess I get to be in at the start for once. (yay for being home sick today?)

EDIT: forgot to move the config into appdata

It may be hard to get an idea if just that 1 component died..but if thats the only one that let loose, and you are familliar with SMT work, it may be repairable..would need a desoldering station (preferabally air) and some solder paste and a replacement component. Thats a bummer tho.. I feel for ya Sad

It's on the warranty so I'll RMA, it's just a hassle.
Scared the sh*t outta me, it was loud.

I bet THAT was an attention-grabber.  Shocked

Cuda Manager on Windows provides some features that cudaminer is currently lacking.

does cuda manager work on ultracoin?

CudaManager is simply a wrapper for Cudaminer. It does not affect the actual mining one way or the other. It allows for quick and simple bat file construction, failover, and GPU temp monitoring with an automatic miner shutdown if temperatures exceed the limit you specify.

I was just wondering something. PANDA, MAX, both blew up in *very* short order. Has there been a successful new altcoin launched since the first of the year, or is this par for the course? Of course, both panda and max had egotistical "masterminds" selling snake oil backing them, but I don't know if that is normal or not, either. In the meantime, I'm sitting here at 187Kh, mining and holding doge since panda blew up, since it at least is getting some pop culture buzz. It will be May before I can think about replacing my 650 Ti boost, so maybe worrying about what to mine right now is moot.

Vertcoin is a solid long term investment right now. It's currently my favorite altcoin.

Short term you might want to look at MintCoin. Good potential there for it to blow up in March.

I'd forgotten all about Mint. I have 17,000 sitting in a wallet. What's a good Vertcoin pool?

Well, looks like my PANDA are worthless, now. Trading at 5.  Huh

When are the next Maxwell cards due? Also, wonder if Nvidia will hold off until late summer and ride the 750 Ti wave. Looks like prices are already rising due to demand.

PANDA down to 14.

Going to bed, mining doge overnight and will check PANDA tomorrow morning before heading to work, to see if it's recovered.

Christ.

Go to work, and come home to see that the dev took Panda behind the courthouse and put a bullet through the back of its head, Mao-style. PANDA is at 21, and here I am, sitting on 17k of them. Guess I'll mine some doge until the next thing comes along.

This is weird: I just upgraded to Nvidia drivers 334.89 and to cudaminer 2-18, and get this on startup:

Unable to query CUDA driver version! Is an nVidia driver installed?

Running a 650 ti boost.

On second thought, bet a reboot fixes this.

EDIT: yep.

PAND or PANDA?

EDIT: I've been mining at panda.dedicatedpool.com. Is there a better pool for low hashrate people?

My bad. PANDA.

https://pool.trademybit.com/ <--- They have a stratum port for PANDA separate from the regular scrypt coins.

How many workers in the PANDA pool there? Almost 1900 at dedicatedpool right now.
