Original CSC miner here, holder since 2013. Certainly not shilling anything.

This coin has been around for a long time, was recently taken over by a new dev team and formed the CasinoCoin Foundation. The coin was swapped from the slower ltc blockchain to a newer, much faster ripple based technology. TX confirmed in 2-3 seconds, among the fastest in the crypto space.

One should always do their due diligence prior to investing in anything. I'd invite anyone with doubts to actually read about the project, the new foundation and roadmap for this year among other details. A rebrand and new website is to be rolled out very soon. The casinocoin.org site has all that good stuff.

Spoiler: A former director of PokerStars as well as one of the award winning PokerStars mobile app designers are among those now on the CasinoCoin team, among others. (ok, that was a bit of shilling)

Just checked in on CSC news and price after falling asleep on it for a long while. I mined a bunch of coins (and sold a bunch, unfortunately!) early on and it looks like my patience is starting to pay off.

The addition of John Caldwell is a great move. Well done to everyone who has stuck with this project for so long. 

A suggestion for the wallet devs, if I may.

Perhaps a link to this forum from the 'overview' tab within the wallet u.i? It would certainly be convenient to be able to link to this thread directly from the wallet the same way I use the links there to get to the exchange sites.

A suggestion, if I may. When choosing "play again" after a draw it would be convenient if the picks and wager would remain instead of having to repick/wager after each draw.

Just checked again. Same issue. The transactions in the client don't agree with the transactions I see in the block explorer. Balances don't match.

Any idea why my local wallet shows a certain balance but when I enter that same wallet address into the block explorer it shows a balance of 3881 CSC less than what I should have?

My wallet is 2.0.1 with 6 active connections and fully updated and encrypted.

Difficulty above 300 now. Wow. When I had my gpu rigs running near the launch of CSC the difficulty hovered around 1 to 3. History in the making?

Phishing Attempt:: There is a phishing attempt going around prompting users to go to a cryptsy-refund website. Do not go to this website or give your login details on any website other than the official Cryptsy website. There were two avenues of the Phishing attempt. One was via SMS, using our provider Twilio and gained entry into our logs and sending ability via a weak password on that account. The passwords on this account have been secured. The other avenue was via email using the same mailing service we use (Mailgun), but was not sent using our account. It is uncertain where the email list for this Phishing attempt was attained from, as we do not show any unauthorized access to our Mailgun account nor our internal systems. We are still investigating this matter. If you were a victim of this phishing, you should log into your account at Cryptsy immediately and do the following: 1. Change your password and enable 2fa if you don’t already have it enabled. 2. Check your pending withdrawals, we currently have withdrawals disabled so if you see one that shouldn’t be there you can request to have it cancelled. Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days.
