Any Example? Somebody received his KYC? Any proofs? Any screenshots? Traiding? Who knows people who received KYC? Who knows people who knows people who received KYC?  Grin
My friend passed the verification procedure 2 weeks ago. It was held for 6 weeks.

Interesting. I've waited more than 6 weeks on mine so far. Wonder who all these people trading on the exchange are...

I sent in my KYC verification a few weeks ago. How long does it usually take to get it approved so that I can start trading?

Well after reading this, its plain obvious XVG are copying XSH -SHIELDS code. Just sold my XVG bag and i'm switching to XSH

XVG Scammers

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@methoncrypto/verge-gets-51-attacked-so-hard-that-they-steal-shield-s-code-and-lie-about-it

Hahaha, that post is hard to argue with. Why are the XVG devs even trying? There's nothing wrong to get inspiration and from other people's code. That's why open source is great. Just fucking admit it and move on!

Trying to make up their own truth just makes them look stupid and childish.

Arguing with GitHub commit dates are about as smart as arguing with data on the block chain.

Not smart.

Patiently waiting to hear more details about the sidechain  Grin I heard it can be dual mined with the main chain!
Is this a unique concept to EGEM?

Also curious about this. Assuming dual mining is possible, which algo are you planning to use? Hoping something asic resistant! 😘

They are doing a pre-sale before coin launch.  That tells you everything you need to know.

So. An ICO but no premine. Where do you get the coins from?

Can't believe I'm taking time to even ask this question 🤣

In your addresses tab

Sounds like devs might be in voice chat again on Discord sometime today. Worth checking out if they do it again.  Cool

Sorry mate, in my country slavery is abolished since 500-ish years. I'm actually kind of happy about that... Not expecting you to understand such a radical progressive opinion though.

Good lucky with your coin..I hope you buy yourself quickly.

ASIC RES?

As resistant as Ethereum. The question whether to hard fork if an Ethereum asic pops up will be discussed within the community if that happens.

It's still a hypothetical question.

How is the coin already at 41,000+ blocks mined?

It's not launched. They are displaying the test net stats on their page.
It says "Test Net Stats" just above the block statistics.

There is no problem with pre-mine.
But when you pre-mine you divide the amount into development, bounties, exchange fee, etc. You also provide the official pre-mine wallet address so people can track the payments if they want.

When you ninja pre-mine you keep all the amount, build MNs for you, and after you can ask for donations for exchange fees, development, etc.

If this was my coin and my work, I would have reseted the chain right when I saw other ppl solo mining before the official ann. But they didn't reset the chain so it's obvious that dev&friends premined the coin before official ann.

The fair thing to do now is to make a statement of the amount the dev team premined and what they are going to do with it (keep it for personal use, hardware costs, bounties, exchange fees, etc).

Just as transparent as possible about purposes of premined, then everything will be clear, no one will complain/ discuss about them.

My question is when the mining started. Did it start Jan 25th?

The 1st announcement from the team was on their medium page 25th Jan, that day mining started for all. Bitcointalk is an important platform but it is not a requirement to post here 1st. Actually, you are better off mining right now compared to the 25th Jan because nethash was very high from the start- around 1TH/s (peak 2TH/s), right now it is 450GH/s. Some serious investors rented hashing power from nicehash, this is not a ninja launch for friends. And you are not missing on the coin because the hashrate dropped from peak and you can even solomine with 1 good rig (which is great in my book)!

I must say that this project is actually good because people are building a platform for real usage they need for dApps, they DO NOT conduct a large premine, ICO sell of nodes etc. And the devfee from the block is actually not that big (1 coin from block now and less later) but enough to allow for sustained developement and marketing. I wish the best of luck to this project, i switched all my ethash hashing power to akroma to support the network.

No, mining started on the 19th just after the alpha was uploaded to the public GitHub. The blockchain doesn't lie.

Re: [ANN][MCM] Mochimo | Quantum-Proof Cryptocurrency | Official Announcement [ANN]
by

on 07/02/2018, 21:16:25 UTC
This could be interesting. Couple of questions:

You say you started from a blank page. Will it all be open source? Miner as well? Because I assume you will release your own miner if you go with your new algo.
If so, please pay for a GitHub account and keep it Private 😎 leaked public GitHubs seems to be a thing these days.

Are you planning on making pools available at launch or will we need to solo mine initially?

Make sure your lead dev eats, otherwise he won't make it til launch.

One of the things that has been missing from the crypto world is a project built with the intention of providing a reference architecture to the community at large, and a codebase that is carefully documented so as to be easily understood.  Our cryptocurrency literally has a manual.

Now, an important distinction: The Mochimo Project has produced a cryptocurrency engine.  Our flagship proof-of-concept transaction network & currency is $MCM.  The source code for the engine is available with a "compile-only" EULA, meaning the end-user is only allowed to compile and run it, not modify it or clone it.  Everything else is open-source w/attribution under the MIT license, including the miner, wallet software, blockchain explorer, etc.

What this means is, if a person or organization wants to create a clone of the Mochimo currency (for example for the purposes of extending it or adding something new to it), two things are true:

1) It will be super easy, because it is a very well-documented code-base designed to be understood and modified by future generations.
2) They will have to pay the Mochimo Steering Committee a licensing fee for the privilege.

Do we think everyone will respect our license requirements?  Let's just say the 800K premine of $MCM that is allocated to the Mochimo Steering Committee is expected to go to legal fees for those who don't want to respect our intellectual property.

As for your last question about pools:  This really comes down to how quickly we can deliver on our other targets.  It is not a pre-launch priority, just a nice-to-have.

Thanks for a solid answer.

Why I'm extra pro-pools in your case is because it's new tech, meaning it's likely many will have issues getting started with solo mining. That in turn gives a poorer distribution.

But don't get me wrong, I like your clear launch date and perhaps you are planning something else, like a ramp up of block rewards to make sure we get a good distribution from the beginning.

No nicehash at least helps with that 😎
