I hope there will be a linux wallet soon.

I got it compiled on Zorin, maybe dev knows if I can just give you a copy or if it has to be compiled on each distro specifically. I did have to modify the .pro with these instructions to get it to compile. http://pw999.wordpress.com/2013/09/29/compiling-memecoin-qt-on-xubuntu/

I've thrown some hash at this just to try and make sure it at least works if people download it but I'm not sure if there's something wrong on my end or the network. I've found a 4-5 blocks but they all get rejected. I have 5+ connections in my wallet and since a block hasn't been mined in quite awhile, I assume I'm the only one mining so I'm really clueless as to why I'd get rejects. I even set cgminer to log my shares and tried submitting manually using submitblock in the console but it says rejected as well. Also tried setting up a p2pnode but it keeps saying my rcp port is wrong and all the other p2p nodes seem to be down. I've had no problem getting tekcoin and bitcoin p2p set up on my computer but this has so far evaded me. I was hoping if I could point my hash at a p2p node I might get better results.

Is it possible to transfer my earned captcoins from my current Captcoin address to a newly one, since they have not been sent yet to my captcoin wallet?  I tried to change the captcoin address for an option but it reflects zero earnings.

By the way, the current captcion address i'm using now is from coin-swap for 3 days, and the earnings are just stuck-up in http://get.captcoin.com/ in which the 1st page of this thread is stating that every 12 hours they'll send the captcoin in our given/caption address we used.

It says pretty explicitly on get.captcoin
Quote
"Important: Use the official wallet to get an address
(not CoinSwap or other exchange)"

Deposits are currently not working on coin-swap so you'll have to wait to get whatever you have earned so far and won't earn any staking on exchanges. Download the wallet and start having your coins sent there.

I'm a little worried about what's going to happen when coin-swap gets its deposits sorted. The market is starved since no coins have been able to be added for a few days. At some point, possibly 10s of thousands are going to all of a sudden make it there and be for sale by those watching the price rise yet not being able to sell during this period. Be careful and patient if your a seller, I of course recommend staking because the staking is good.

Hello everyone, I try not to spread FUD and welcome everyone to check my history that reflects this. I like trying to support as many alts as I can, but something here seems fishy. If I am wrong, I apologize in advance, and hopefully we'll all continue on our way. I will try to be precise yet concise in my questions to save everyone time. I will include links as well as screen shots of critical information of what I'm most worried about to make sure everything is available. Again, if I'm way off on this, I humbly apologize.

Timeline of events:

Dev begins a twitter account on July 22nd and sends a series of tweets about the new coin.

The next day, July 30th, dev makes a post with the specifics of the coin both on BTCTalk and Facebook. BTCTalk

On August 5th, dev posts a link on Facebook with a link to the blockchain and official website.

Blockchain: http://188.226.197.228

Here is my question. The blockchain shows the first block being mined on June 24th with a reward of 50 coins and the second block being mined on July 26th with a reward of 36 coins which is consistent with the coins specs. Many coins began to be mined at 1 diff.
Link: http://188.226.197.228/chain/BIGBullion?hi=19&count=20
Imgur: http://i.imgur.com/PTsZDs0.png

As of now, the link to the blockchain shows that the coin is on block 1618 with a difficulty of 788,578.
Link: http://188.226.197.228/chain/BIGBullion
Imgur: http://i.imgur.com/RFfwlrQ.png

The coin specs say no premine and have a specific release date yet the blockchain shows it being mind currently. So what's the deal?

wallet won't sync beyond block 45369
What's your OS, conf, etc setup? That's pretty close to 46869 which is what my wallet is reading. Try restarting the wallet.

This is quite interesting. With 14 hours to go, only 322,750 out of 20,000,000 have been claimed. Let's assume 350,000 get claimed before the halving. The next stage is twice as long but half the price so lets assumes another 350,000. Then the final period which is half as much for 20 days. Let's assume the same rate of captcha miners so that phase is half as much at 175,000. That's 875,000 out in the hands of people and 19,125,000 of the initial distribution being destroyed. That will make this quite a rare coin and those coins will only stake until an additional 80,000,00 coins are created. I encourage everyone to donate some to the dev as they have gone through obvious pains to make this transparent and won't have much reason to see this through unless we give a cut.

dev,it is too hard to get coin, please change your rule,or capt would be dead

Just get a rhythm down and you'll be mad that they make you wait 20 seconds to submit all 3. I was only getting about 60% right when I started now I'm getting 90%+ and just got 25 in a row.

Common sense with the right morals > Cold-hard principles/rules

So basically it's OK and "morally just" for a central agency to decide when the rules and principles of crypto can be broken.

I know of a lot of people who think crypto is stupid, but love the blockchain, I am one of them, All you nuts out there need to realize people dont care for your stupid algo's and never will, all they want to do is buy something easy and not get hacked and shit stolen from them.

Computers make them uneasy, and for good reason. Look at all you crypto champions, wishing theft upon people to save your thesis. Taking that over a real world use that has benefits to save your purist view, so sad.

I couldn't of put it better myself. People think Dev's should put all this effort into a coin, take tons of abuse from users who sit at their computers trying to make a buck, then just let their creation die do to no fault of their own out of some deranged principal. The biggest problems with crypto is the lack of decentralization, 98% of the public don't want to leave their money to the wild wild west where cheating and hacking is rewarded because a few people don't like the governments role in modern economies. The same people who think the Vericoin Dev's should hang themselves with Mintpal's rope are the same people who wonder why the general public thinks all this is just a complete scam.

If I started a bank and offered a Visa card, but said there is no fraud protection and you are on the hook for any charges made no matter what, no one would use it, because most people have what is called common sense. I explain the GOX situation to people and they can't wrap their head around how an electronic transaction just can't be reversed or why so much value could be flimsily held and lost so easily. It's all the convenience of sending money electronically over the internet with all the dangers of cash.

I commend the Dev's for the actions they are taking. I don't think this will ever be a slippery slope where any one little thing will cause coin makers to halt transactions and remake the wallet because some little thing slipped up. If these hackers had had half a brain, they would have stole .5% of the coins, taking as many as they did would either kill the coin leaving their bounty worthless, or caused what did happen, also leaving their heist worthless. I hope this is the new normal.

Haven't had a block mined in nearly 24 hours. I don't know much on how the programming behind these work, but I think the difficulty should be adjusted quicker if possible. Transactions take 6 confirmations and confirmations taking possibly 24 hours isn't going to work. Got off to a good start and hope this can be modified.

The wallet gets stuck at block 33757. Anyone else stuck there?

I have notified coinminers requesting daemon to be turned back on so it can sync back with miningmunchers to resolve this matter.

KryptoKruz

I too am stuck at 33757, good to know it's getting looked into. Wallet has 6 connections to the network and seems to work other then getting stuck at this block.

Hey!

We just added ISO to our voting list on Coins-e:

RT this link and get votes for ISO to have it added to our exchange - https://www.coins-e.com/voting/

I've re-tweeted it and have sent some messages out!  Thanks for adding us and we'll be working on getting listed! Smiley

Thanks,
Adaryian

Looks like we have 3 user votes and 5 paid votes in bitcoin putting us in the lead. None of the other coins seem to have any paid votes. When are winners picked?

The block source seems to be fading in and out.  Anyone else have there blockchain falling behind?  Do I need to add a new node?

Mine sometimes gets stuck even with 4-5 connections but if I just leave it open and come back a couple hours later it usually figures itself out.

I might be able to make one of whatever final coin design you decide on. Tried to just render something real quick that was close to Shadow Runner's design.

I like it, I do like what Shadow_Runner made, maybe if you can incorporate the "E" with the circuitry in it, that could look pretty nice!

Side Note:

Difficulty is now up to 16!

I drew up a similar schematic for a 2d version if this helps.

Not sure why everyone is having so many problems. I downloaded the wallet and edited the conf with the nodes in the original post and am connected fine. Diff is at 4 now. I'll post my conf in case anyone needs it. Of course, change the password if you're mining.
