What do you guys think of NEO and NXT? NXT will have an airdrop tomorrow. I am holding like 105 units, but I think it will crash after the airdrop. but the IGNIS token that they will drop seems rather sketchy. Any thoughts on this?

Yes I would. As a consumer, whatever perks, Im hoping discounts or additional freebies, that would be awesome. Especially when the price of bitcoin going up every month, your bitcoin can purchase more goods, which means more benefits if you have that loyalty program.

It depends if when I really need the fiat for another investment or an emergency. If not i would probably hold on to it for a while and check the news if anything can affect the price positively or negatively. But it is a good idea to cash it out. Being too greedy wont do good.

Dont think it will affect the price. The nature of futures is a cash contract. There is no physical or virtual delivery of the underlying asset.

Difficult to say right now. But with your figures, it would have been better to share the source of these information so we can better discuss how it compares to bitcoin.

I know you said you want an altcoin that can be purchased in bittrex, but I would suggest you check out ICOs. Take for example Angel Token. This is a very promising ICO  that recently launched last November 27. If you take time to read their white paper you will understand just how they would accomplish the x6.9 return on your investment. If you want to be a trader, being part of a community that is dedicated to crypto currency investments would be a huge boost to your knowledge and investment. Basically Angel Token wants to derive its value from the investments that the community behind it would make.

So for short term investments I am assuming you want to be a day trader or at least sell out after a week and make a profit. If so you have to be watching the exchanges daily. Of course you have to consider the liquidation part. In my country, the only way you can cash out cryptocurrencies is by converting it first to bitcoin. So if I do this trading investment, ultimately I have to invest in an altcoin that would rise in value against bitcoin so I can buy more bitcoins and cash it out to fiat.

Well I do agree with him about the bitcoin going up in value way too fast and that it will stop at some point even go down. The going down part happened many times already. He also said something true which is it will not go down to zero. But the question is when will it stop growing in value? The estimate is it will go up to 100k usd before it will stop going up.

It depends on which country you are in. In countries where it is accepted legally, definitely it is taxed. In most countries however they dont tax bitcoin, like here in the Philippines. In Japan, since it is accepted in evem seven elevens from what I heard, they are probably incorporating the value added tax on purchases even with bitcoin purchases.

Bitcoin's value just like any other currency is derived from the community accepting it as a means of exchange. Right now the community has grown significantly big and many of these people are very rich. Some of the merchants in this community only accept bitcoin as payment. As such some services and goods which is difficult to obtain through fiat is widely available through merchants that accept bitcoin. The demand for bitcoin has increased significantly because of this, and that is why the value is super high right now.
