So.... this is the branch-out from the old LTNF thread in here.

What happens to the old LTFN coins that people mined. I think I myself have almost 50K of the old LTFN.

Await clarity.

One of the easiest way you can use your Smart phone to mine Scala without heating-up your phone's processor or draining out your battery. Thanks to the machine learning algorithm called AMAYC (As-Much-As-You-Can).

Plus, The scala network reached 100,000+ downloads of the Mobile Miner software

A big shout-out to the Scala dev team for bringing out such a good project, and to the ever growing Scala community.

Thank you for sharing the pool

Though, it is a bit difficult to understand this pool as the website is in an oriental language (Chinese / Japanese).

But, do we need to create an account on the website and then start the mining. Or, is it like other pools, where the mining rewards are sent to the wallet address after the confirmation and minimum payout is achieved.

Your reply would be awaited.

The hashrates of oBTC has reduced drastically on mining pools run by Suprnova, rxrat, plant and letshash.it.

This clearly means oBTC is being mined on some other pools now, the data for which is not updated on "miningpoolstats.stream"

Any idea which pool are miners mining oBTC now.

It's not big farms, we are GPU mining.

The developers themselves open private mining pools to mine. . . Let everyone use less machine mining. . . This piece was taken away by the developer himself. . . Waiting for everyone to pick up. . . . Give it back to everyone. If you have too much computing power, he will restart to threaten everyone

No, we are mining on a Chinese private pool.

But, how  can that be. "oBTC" can only be mined using a CPU.

I did some research on oBTC and its Dev team and found out some interesting facts.

It was particularly interesting to find about Dr. Michael Dubrovsky who also happens to be one of Dev team members of "oBTC"

A few things which I found and would like the "oBTC community" to know about are as under:-

Twitter Account of Dr. Michael Dubrovsky - @MikeDubrovsky

Twitter Description - Co-Founder at SiPhox (YC S20) and PoWx. MIT Advanced Study Program Fellow, Technion and several startups prior. From Brooklyn. Recently became dad.

By the way, MIT here is "Massachusetts Institute of Technology"

His personal website is - https://www.michaeldubrovsky.com/

More about Dr. Dubrovsky from Cruchbase:- (https://www.crunchbase.com/person/mike-dubrovsky)

He founded PoWx as a Visiting Researcher at the Technion University Materials Department. Prior to Technion, he founded Simply Grid, a curbside emergency-vehicle charging startup, which was acquired by MOVE Systems. As Director of R&D at MOVE, he led the design and manufacturing of two product lines (for which he holds patents) with complex global supply chains. Michael sees cryptocurrency as a revolutionary improvement in global access to property rights, and is passionate about helping it scale.

More about Siphox (which Dr. Dubrovsky was a co-founder) :-

SiPhox offers a handheld testing device with RNA/DNA and protein testing for point-of-care and At-Home solutions. The company's kit is made by multiplexing RNA, antibody, and antigen tests on a single silicon photonic chip which is amplified by plasmon resonance and silicon photonic resonator readout, enabling users to undertake tests for disease safely and in a disposable point-of-care and at-home manner.

SiPhox was founded in 2020 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Resource:- Optical Proof of Work

(co-authored by Dr. Dubrovsky along with Mr. Marshall Ball & Mr. Bogdan Penkovsky)

(source https://www.researchgate.net/publication/337241203_Optical_Proof_of_Work)

Most cryptocurrencies rely on Proof-of-Work (PoW) "mining" for resistance to Sybil and double-spending attacks, as well as a mechanism for currency issuance. Hashcash PoW has successfully secured the Bitcoin network since its inception, however, as the network has expanded to take on additional value storage and transaction volume, Bitcoin PoW's heavy reliance on electricity has created scalability issues, environmental concerns, and systemic risks.

Mining efforts have concentrated in areas with low electricity costs, creating single points of failure. Although PoW security properties rely on imposing a trivially verifiable economic cost on miners, there is no fundamental reason for it to consist primarily of electricity cost. The authors propose a novel PoW algorithm, Optical Proof of Work (oPoW), to eliminate energy as the primary cost of mining. Proposed algorithm imposes economic difficulty on the miners, however, the cost is concentrated in hardware (capital expense-CAPEX) rather than electricity (operating expenses-OPEX).

The oPoW scheme involves minimal modifications to Hashcash-like PoW schemes, inheriting safety/security properties from such schemes. Rapid growth and improvement in silicon photonics over the last two decades has led to the commercialization of silicon photonic co-processors (integrated circuits that use photons instead of electrons to perform specialized computing tasks) for low-energy deep learning.

oPoW is optimized for this technology such that miners are incentivized to use specialized, energy-efficient photonics for computation. Beyond providing energy savings, oPoW has the potential to improve network scalability, enable decentralized mining outside of low electricity cost areas, and democratize issuance.

Due to the CAPEX dominance of mining costs, oPoW hashrate will be significantly less sensitive to underlying coin price declines.

*******************************************************************************

All I see in this thread is about people trying to jump onto the mining of "oBTC".

Mining some "oBTC" is fine, but please do remember"PoWx" is a "Non-Profit organization Non-Profit organization dedicated to developing PoW cryptography compatible with ultra-energy efficient optical computing".

..... and what I have mentioned above describes the true credentials of one of the dev team member.

Let  us see "oBTC" as a project that can be a real game changer in the may mining hardware gets revolutionized into less energy consuming gadgets.

oBTC donations are welcome

- A perfect fair launch with an "Empty Genesis Block" and no "Post Mine"
- A low Block Reward of 50 OBTC per Block, which is a good reward to start
- A very low difficulty to start with

I started mining when the block height was as low as 20 (if I remember) and am getting a very healthy hash rate of 2305 KH/s on my Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 GH........ mining running on 4 Cores (that is the default and you cant change).

That is fine if this is an experimental chain. I will not mind even if the devs re-set the chain.

Atleast, I got to enter the mining at such a lower block height...... and the experience has been wonderful.

a con that I see is the frequent rejections in the shares, possibly that is because of the low block time.

Good Luck, Devs !

I started mining today coz I personally love CPU Coins and have equal love for this other CPU Mineable coin named "Scala".

Before starting the mining of "Sugarchain", I was sure that the "Block Rejection" should be high..... which is normal for a BlockChain that generates Blocks every 5 seconds.

Hope you can do something here...... so that the rejection rate comes down.

Why dont you consider listing "Litcoin Finance" on Unnamed.exchange

Unnamed.exchange is a new crypto exchange and exchange is getting some real good traction.

I think the listing fee right now is just about 0.01 BTC

Do give it a thought.

The LTFN Dev Team,

There are a lot of people who are speaking a whole lot of things about the Dev Team pre-mine of LTFN.

In reality, the Dev Team "Post-Mined / Insta-Mined" 10 Million LTFNs.

But, we already see that the devs are putting their own funds to finance the listing fee while getting LTFN listed at Exchanges (e.g., CoinExchange & Crex24). And the Devs are now planning for integration of LTFN with "CoinPayments Integration".

There is only 1 way to silence the critics (that talk about the Post-Mine / Instamine of 10 Million LTFNs), and the same is as under:-

Making a Transparency Report:-

The Devs should make a "Google Spreadsheet" and upload it onto the LTFN Website.

The start point of this spreadsheet should be the "Project Development Initial Balance" alongwith the LTFN Transaction ID and also show the 10 Million LTFNs.

And, all further LTFN In and LTFN Out should be mentioned in subsequent fields, one below the other, alongwith the LTFN Transaction ID and the description of what the LTFN Out was used for.

This is something similar to what the Dev Team of Veco Coin did. And, the Transparency Report shows everything.

I personally do not like Veco coin and do not propose people to buy Veco...... coz of creating a mirror identical coin just by copying the code of an existing coin (Cryply / Cranepay) is not acceptable.

But, I personally feel, Veco did a good job with coming up with a "Transparency Report" and using good things from existing projects is always a good practice.

Hope, we see a "Transparency Report" for LTFN soon as well !

The veco transparency report can be seen at :- https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSScDVPmWM0wXc4d7woPnIoZbG7VERGaI9-jmsCQcA8/edit#gid=0

Hello! Tell me, does it make sense to dig with i5-2500? Or is it really too weak processor for mining?

As I reply, my i5 - 2400 is giving me about 150 to 165 H/s.

But, remember - the difficulty has increased to 0.001 to 0.002 since LTFN got listed. Not so long back, I was mining LTFN at a difficulty of about 0.0005 odd.

LTFN is showing a good promise. And, as more and more people get the attention of LTFN, difficulty will increase further.

So, my advise would be to mine some LTFN and hold on to them for the "Good Times".

Best of Luck !!!

You may also consider listing LTFN on "TradeSatoshi".

The best thing I found at TradeSatoshi is that they have one of the least "Minimum Trade of 0.00001000 BTC". This way, even new people with less BTC can enter LTFN or any other Crypto.

Also, TradeSatoshi offers a "Free Faucet" offering many free coins, including BTC. And, one can easily make around 0.00001000 in 2 days. You can claim all the coins listed on the Faucet every 1 hour.

Listing LTFN on TradeSatoshi can make new people with less amount of BTC to buy LTFN.

I am sure Listing fee at TradeSatoshi would not be that high either.

There were a lot of people saying, "Litecoin Finance" was an "Exit Scam"..... coz of the Pre-mine.

But, the LTFN team has proved that they are going to use the pre-mine just to cover the Listing Fees.

And, the listing at CoinExchange & Crex24 in quick succession proves this.

All the early miners who started dumping LTFN at the time of listing at CoinExchange might have to put their "Thinking Hat" all over again.

Yes, a lot of new Crypto projects are scams. But, so much scams in this domain have caused people to think all new projects are scam.

My advice is..... stay calm with your LTFNs........... give it atleast 6 months and then decide.

I do not think I am an early miner. As I think I started mining late and should have started much before. My qt wallet shows the first mining rewards on 12th February, 2019.

And, I still hold around 6100 LTFNs and mining everyday. And, I shall hold my LTFNs for atleast 1 year, maybe longer.

I wished we had the "Top 100" on the LTFN Explorer......... just curious where I stand in the list (if at all I am in the Top 100).

Good Luck to the Dev Team of LTFN

Thank you so much for the recognition and the supporting words.

We are now planning to raise funds for coinpayments payment system by that LTFN will be accepted over 2,432,500 vendors across 182 countries.

We would like to know the community ideas..
We have two options.
1.  inviting private investors
2. Putting some of the coins we have for sale on Exchanges at a fixed price to raise necessary funds.

This is to get help from the community to get LTFN reach all over the world.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I would suggest the Dev Team to hold-on to putting coins (pre-mine) yup for sale at this point in time.

The next milestone for LTFN should be getting listed on "CMC". And, the first challenge for getting listed on CMC is that LTFN should be listed on any 2 Crypto Exchanges that CMC is aligned with (price streaming). And, both CoinExchange and Crex24 are good against this criteria. LTFN already listed on these.

Being only CPU mineable coin makes LTFN in itself makes it a unique Crypto Asset.

I would say, let LTFN get listed on CMC first. And, then go in for inviting private investors.

Putting some of the pre-mined LTFN for sale on Exchanges (even if at a fixed price) could be quite negative.

Its best that the dev team use the pre-mine coins to cover the cost of development and up-keep of the Coin.

However, getting on "Coinpayments Payment" could be a great boost on getting LTFN as a more adaptable Crypto.

Just wait for some time.....

Yes LTFN can be same as well as more than LTC.
Only time will tell.

Waiting for Crex24.com exchange to open Litecoin finance trading under BTC markets.

So this means, you have applied to Crex24 for LTFN listing as well.....

Back then, I assumed that Cryply halving was supposed to happen sometime in February - March 2019. But, I do not see anything as yet.

So, when is the next Cryply / Cranepay halving scheduled ?
Block 2 million. Btw block-reward is 21 instead of 42, what are you saying lol?

Oh, I think I missed that. I have been mining CRP since a long time (with periodic stops). So this explains why the mining rewards in the recent couple of months have been lesser than before
