Re: Be patient for your profit
by

Hi,

I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit..
After 14 days the price is dropping..

They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  Grin)
My answer.. Just wait!

- Developers can't work 24 hours a day
- don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  Wink
- a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient..
If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.
Well we cant blame them in feeling this some times. Most of the investor and people in the crypto market are newbies and some has zero total background regarding this market. Probably most of this people that invested their money put something that is more than they can lose hence the panic. We cant also blame the dev team of particular project as some coins are so volatile to the point that you can lost almost everything in an instant. Net, we should trade and invest with caution.

Re: TRON (TRX) announced the countdown
by
barneystinson
on 22/03/2018, 05:54:34 UTC
TRON (TRX) counts down the days to run the test network, giving investors hope for a new surge in prices once the project will move into a more active phase of development. Last month on the market the TRX, there was a lull, the price ranged from 3 to 4 cents and was practically identical to the chart of Bitcoin. This relative price stability can attract investors who bet on more active development of the project in the long term.

After December pampas TRX price exceeded 25 cents, the project instantly gained popularity due to speculative agiotage. But then a sharp drop in prices sobered up investors. The recent recovery still looks fragile; on the other hand, investors have already felt the taste of "IX" and want a repeat of success.

Investors refer to a good marketing campaign in social media, explaining the recent recovery of the price. Although such steps by the project management can help in the process of market recovery, it should be remembered that history has shown that advertising creates high volatility for TRX. However, the project can only benefit from the publication of news about the countdown launch of the test network, as curious investors return to the TRX market. At the moment, prices below $ 0.04 are considered relatively low and are regarded by investors as a good moment to enter the market.

The launch of THE tron test network is a serious step before the token is transferred to the main platform network in the summer. At the moment, TRX is an ERC-20 token, and asset transfer can revive interest from the side of "strong hands". In addition, the launch of the test network will attract more developers to the open source platform.

On the other hand, from now on, TRON will be more difficult to develop, because the open source platform will be forced to function transparently. It may also be difficult to communicate with the international community, as the bulk of the initial investors of the project is concentrated in China.

Attracting talented developers remains one of the main problems for TRON. In the short term, token transfer can also create problems.

I bought some TRX at the start of this year. I am so bullish with TRX given the current line up of their development team. They have a good team and a pretty well plotted road map towards their project. Hearing about this news about them gives me the confidence that they are working fine and my investment is in a good place.

This group is dedicated to crypto space self-regulation, ICO due diligence, vigilante/scamhunter groups, scam detection, ICO pools and anything else applicable.

This is the first part of my post on ICO due diligence.

Please consider filling in this short anonymous survey for ICO investors.

Thanks for this. It is great to know that there are people like you that wants to protect small time investors in the crypto market. It is just sad to know that in this industry that we are supporting for market adaptation, there are many people who wants to do wrong things. Hope fully everyone gets  a copy of this list that you made.

Re: Do you still support Ethereum?
by
barneystinson
on 22/03/2018, 05:42:20 UTC
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?
I think same as every trading market that we have today there are people that would be losing their money from time to time. Since this is part of the learning process. We should always remember that in every gains of a particular trader someone took a hit from it. This is all about the timings and sometimes trusing and holding your coins.

Re: ICO VS TRADING

on 20/03/2018, 07:01:38 UTC
I want to start investing for ico and trading. Please to help from where should I start?

What needs to be prepared and cared for before starting it?

I am very grateful for the members who helped me in this forum.

and maybe this can also re-remind the new citizens who want to enter the world of investment (trading and ico).

thanks
You need to asses how much time you are willing to allocate when it comes to trading. If you have a day job and cannot focus purely on trade, I would suggest that you can focus on long HODL and invest in ICO. If you wanted to focus on trading then you need to find someone who can teach you the basics first and the things you need to learn when it comes to trading.

Re: Mining on Mobile Phone
by

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
I think this is not a far fetch idea. If you would come to think of it, BTC was available for mining in desktop computers back in 2009-2010.
If you would look at it this way, smart phones today are better compared to computers back then. Net, it is not impossible to have a coin that is available for mining using smart phones.

I need some help!
What exchange to use in order to withdraw cryptocurrency after ICO?

Hello, It will still depend to what exchange your alt coin would be released into. There are ICO's that are released into multiple exchanges and there are some that is only release into a single exchange. I suggest that you study into what exchange you want to transfer your alt coin after the ICO sale. You can go to the exchange with bigger volumes.

Re: Trade with alt ?

Why alt coins are good for trade ? why not bitcoin ?
Well basically the current set up we have is that we trade or bitcoin into altcoins, since some alts doesn't have yet their own system of trading fiat directly to their coins. And trading your bitcoin to alts will give you opportunity to increase your btc count and not just the fiat value. Like for me, I was able to double my btc count buy buying altcoins at the bottom prices and trading it back once it went bullish.

Re: A Hodler's View On Bitcoin's January Crash
by

on 02/03/2018, 09:16:48 UTC
“As crashes go, this is one of the biggest,” said Xavier Levenfiche, who first invested in cryptocurrencies in 2011. “But, in the grand scheme of things, it’s a hiccup on the road to greatness.”
As reported by The Independent.

Source: https://ccitieslzones.igbodefender.com/2018/02/26/a-hodlers-view-on-the-recent-bitcoin-crash/
HODLERS are the true believers and winners in bitcoin. Less hassle and stress in trading just purely HODL. Based on my experience if you are not a technical trader you can just hodl and sell at profits. Scalping is only good for those who has the time and focus in trading. If you still want to work a normal day job then HODLing and investing is the strategy for you.

Re: Is Bank of America Scared ? Seems so
by

on 02/03/2018, 09:01:56 UTC
See
https://www.coindesk.com/bank-of-america-cryptocurrency-risk-factor-annual-report-10-k/

Seems that they are somewhat scared by the competition of crypto...

"In a passage about new competitors in the financial services industry, Bank of America expressed caution about how client preferences could lead them to use products like cryptocurrencies - for which, as it stands, the bank does not offer any support."..

Sounds like it..
Cheers
I don't think that banks are afraid of crypto, rather banks are already into crypto. Fund managers and portfolio managers are not dumb enough for them not to see the opportunity in crypto currency. Probably we don't know that they have already invested millions into this and already manipulating the market price. Trying to take advantage to the small fish in the market.

Re: A proposed naming standard for a satoshi based economy
by
barneystinson
on 02/03/2018, 08:06:37 UTC
So, obviously these terms are going to come in to play in coming years. And I think there should be some sort of standard for what we call our money in a satoshi based economy, and I'm not a fan of how ethereum has done it. So my proposal is quite simple, just draw from the metric system. The base being of course: 1 satoshi.

0.00000001 = satoshi
0.00000010 = dekatoshi / dekasat
0.00000100 = hectoshi / hesat
0.00001000 = kiltoshi / kilosat
0.01000000 = megatoshi / megasat

Just an idea. Let me know what you guys think.
This is a good idea but I think you should come up with a more simple terminologies. The proposed metric system is a bit complicated. Since some people try to read it on the value of ones, tens, hundreds up to thousand sats. Or some reads it backwards. maybe we could just pattern it to how USD it valued like 50cents, a quarter cents up until one usd. This would be a simpler terms to use.

Re: Overcoming the Crisis of Fake News?
by
barneystinson
on 02/03/2018, 07:54:40 UTC
The article is penned by Fox Holt, Vice President of Delphy

Fake news was a term that had hardly crossed people’s minds until relatively recently. Yet the phrase has now passed the lips of almost every journalist and entered the dictionary as Collins’ word of the year.

Although not a new phenomenon, prompted by 2016’s Brexit referendum and media coverage of the US presidential election, fake news has re-entered the public consciousness. In doing so, it has raised questions about the legitimacy of some media organizations.

With increasing recognition amongst world leaders and tech giants that the problem of fake news has to be tackled, is there a viable solution?

https://www.ccn.com/overcoming-crisis-fake-news/
I think the only viable solution towards fake news is knowledge. In this world and generation that we have where information can be gathered easily ignorance is a choice. So the answer to your question is that you just need to find credible source of news and unsubscribe to the not legit ones. We have the power to choose what type if information we would get. So practically we are the one responsible towards our lives and the news that we listen to.

Re: how are you increasing your BTC portfolio?
by

on 28/02/2018, 10:04:50 UTC
i have been trading and have some pretty decent returns in first week of january and huge losses later on.i think most of people here in same like me.i have been hodling my positions.
what are your ideas on increasing your btc portfolio?BTC
If you are in loss then I suggest that you just HODL it. January is quite a blood bath for alts but based from historical trend they would bounce back eventually along with bitcoin. If you will sell at loss then it is still  your choice. but on my personal observation REKT alts would eventually go up again but the timings would be uncertain.
Still this is your decision to make.

Re: BTC PUSHES PAST $ 10K
by
barneystinson
on 27/02/2018, 06:35:29 UTC

over the past two days, BTC  prices has dipped as low as $9k. the BTC prices has since bounced back to a touching high of $ 10.4k, cold this be an indication that BTC is on the recovery track?
I think the strong resistance as of now is at 10600USD. Once it breaks out then it will go all the way up. The strong support is at 8800 USD. If it breaks the support at 8800 the next support line would be is at 8100USD. Well this is just on my personal analysis and opinion and dont take my word for it. You can still check and do research on your own.

Re: Oh crap! What happened to bitcoins?
by
barneystinson
on 24/02/2018, 06:21:44 UTC
These days I am noticing that the price of bitcoin is quitely decreasing..So what can we assume?
Bitcoin is going towards its end or its a good news for investors...If so then lets buy lot of bitcoin at risk...may ne in future we suffer from heart attack or we can become mad for becoming such rich..
The recent decline of bitcoins price is a healthy correction for the market. As we all notice, the bull run was quite parabolic. Thus you would know it would come to an end.
I am not stating that this is a market manipulation. But it is nice to see bitcoin on healthy consolidation phase. I just feel bad for those who bought bitcoin at the top and we dont know when would it go back to that price again.

Re: Is Bitcoin loosing its share
by
barneystinson
on 24/02/2018, 06:15:25 UTC
Bitcoin which once shared more than 90% of total crypto volume is now reduced less than 40%...
What do you think at the end of 2018... Will it reduce its share to less than 20%
I dont think stating that it is already the end is too much, You can just think of it that people has taken profit last december. Those who bought at 5K USD probably shared their shares at the all time high of bitcoin. So stating that it is already the end this 2018 is too much. This price dip would just allow bitcoins price to grow more.

Re: History of bitcoin prices!
by
barneystinson
on 22/02/2018, 07:10:28 UTC
I would like to inform you about the History of bitcoin price. I think this post can be a pleasure for the newbie bitcoin investor who has invested recently in bitcoin like me.  I am going to give you a chart of bitcoin price from 2010.

Time                   price per BTC     Importent information

July 2010             $0.08               The price grew 900% only In five days, rising from $0.008 to $0.08 for 1 bitcoin.
Feb – April 2011    $1.00               In that time Bitcoin took parity with US dollar.
8th July 2011        $31.00             At this time top of first "bubble", followed by the first price drop.
Dec 2011              $2.00               At this time goes minimum after few months (huge dump)
Jan 2012               $3.41
March 2012           $4.95               over 46,000 BTC stolen by Linode Hacked
July 2012               $13.31            Bitcoin Savings and trust halts payments.
Jan 2013              $13.31
Feb 2013              $20.22              Starts some pump.
July 2013              $100.15            great pump.
Jan 2014               $772                700% up within 6 months.
July 2014              $582                 Some down again.
Jan 2015               $272                 Huge down.
July 2015             $289.68
Jan 2016              $432.17             some up again.
July 2016             $688.50
Jan 2017             $1020.47           Starting golden age of bitcoin.
July 2017               $2592.41            proved a golden age.
18th Dec 2017        $19,498.63
Jan 2018                $10,685             Again huge down.

From this chart, we can guess the future of Bitcoin price. We should not worried about the present bitcoin price. I think 2018 or 2020 will become a diamond age of bitcoin. What is thinking? you can also post your opinion on this thread.

Thanks for this information. Based from the price drops we could not see any pattern for the timings within the year. But one thing is for sure on this trend. Whenever bitcoins price goes down, it would comeback stronger and higher. Looking forward this 2018. Im excited how much it would go up.

Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school

This high school in New Jersey is already teaching its students about cryptocurrencies.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/bitcoin-education-at-high-schools-and-colleges.html
As the saying goes "start them young" and this is very true. Shout out to this high school who is not afraid for the changes that is about to come. And I envy these kids who gets to learn a lot about crypto and would not need to learn the hard way. We should have more schools like these in my country as I can see this as a way to get out of the middle class of the society. Again knowledge is the key in this ever changing world.

Everyone is saying altcoin winter, but I disagree.  I think it wont last all that long.  Maybe a few weeks or so.  Bitcoin is definitely going to shoot up soon though.  What do you all think?
Since altcoins went down hard along with bitcoin, I think it will take quite some time for them to recover. I dont know how long but based from what I have notices, the only way for alts to go up is when bitcoins goes sideways. Thus if bitcoin will go up, some alts prices would still go down. So the key here is to just HODL and buy more alts.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774

According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.

Thanks for sharing this. This is a great news to see that bitcoin is being adapted in the market and not just only for trading. However it keeps me wondering how the adjust the prices of their services given the volatility of bitcoins price. Oh well I think we shouldn't dwell too much on that and be positive on this kinds of businesses.
