I have an  older bitcoin wallet. I recently ran a new bitcoin-qt, fully updated the blocks then replaced the stock wallet with my old one. The old one has not update though. Since I  had saved the old one I had a few payment of bitcoins to the wallet. Will the wallet eventually show the new payments that had happened?

Okay but I transferred my lite coin wallet to a new computer, and when I loaded it up on the new computer there was no address associated with it. When Someone sent coins to the original address it showed up on the original litecoin client, but not the one running on the new computer.

Yes okay, but does the new client receive the new keys? So if I give out my address, then back up my wallet and load it on a new computer, does this new computer receive the keys when someone sends coins to the old address?

If you back up your wallet on a usb stick and then restore it on another computer running the litecoin client, does the receive adress also come along. For instance, If some one would send money to an original address of the wallet, would it show up the new computer running the restored wallet?

I swear this mining litecoins thing is a myth! I've only gotten one program really working (guiminer scypt) and it does it rather slow for my particular card.

I can't even get cgminer going anymore. It just says starting cgminer for a while, flashes some text and instantly closes.

I have two 7870's, and I can't get them past 300 kHash mining litecoin.
using a guiminer script, with  -Thread concurrency 8192  -worksize 256  -Vect 1 -intensity 12  -gputhread 1  , I get around 290khs.

Using cgminer With settings of

 I get about 40. I have tried changing the various values, but nothing seems works..
