AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.[/list][/list]

yeah they did a lot but not all. I thought they were going to skip out, but they surprised me.
Heck Thomas_s went out of his way to fix my doa ant miner s-1 sold to me by sushi-review. The fix was a replacement at no cost. Thanks to him I am now using 4 s-1's in house.
they have paid over 300 shares back. Hopefully the rest get done in 1-2 weeks time.
I was so surprised about the refunds being paid I decided to keep 5 shares of this round. I used the refund for the other 7 shares to buy one extra ant miner s-1.
I have more than enough BTC to cover the rest of refunds, I have been away with thomas and our partners at the Texas BTC conference, And I have all the refund funds on a cold wallet back in Denver. Refunds will resume tomorrow.

R9-12 is sold, it will continue hashing until Monday, on which all units will begin to come offline, we will await BTCGuild to not owe us any funds and request a manual payout of both BTC / NMC, the NMC will be converted to BTC and sent to the BTC payout address and will be sent in the payout to occur later that day.thank you thomas

Unless I missed something I think you missed a decimal. 29 + 0.4 for at total of 29.4 BTC. Still good but not 33.

Sorry thomas forgot to post it- We were offered 28BTC, with the stipulation that the transaction be completed by monday. This is BTC that is on hand, and can be added to the payout on the first to close this out. If we chose to go this route, I will waive tomorrow's hosting fee, adding as little extra to the payouts. ~.07BTC per share around there.

I really think that we need to look into selling this equipment. The fees that we pay to the coop are still a reasonable percentage of the total mined BTC, coming in a bit less than 5%. The next pay period, Feb.15, is going to be a much higher percentage and we will probably be at 25% or more by our Mar 1 payout. I know that we are still making btc at that point, but our equipment will be doing over a quarter of it's work just to pay our fees.
Selling Antminers on ebay sounds like it could be a very good idea right now. I think that we, the miners, need to make this decision. I know that the co-op organizers have worked very hard for us but their income doesn't change when difficulty goes up, only ours does. They make $400 every two weeks whether we mine $20000 worth of BTC or $1000 worth. We can't wait for them to suggest selling, we need to start to force this issue.

As for selling the units that's fine if everyone / most people want to it will be added to the next payout (as the payout is on the first if the sale happens soon after the payout can be done early as there will be a large amount of coins in the wallet). I think we actually have someone that gave an offer today for all of them but I have to confirm the price.
Thanks Thomas. Please pursue that offer and find out a concrete price. Also, it was mentioned that the plan was to sell namecoins once there was a decent number. When are you thinking of selling them?

bobsag3 is rebuilding the r9-12 hashrate *and* refunding those that were interested in being bought out.
The two goals didn't have to be mutually exclusive. There are more replacement parts/hardware on the way, and lots was learned along the way. Things learned now by both BA and bobsag3 will really benefit the Prospero launch in February IMO.

I promiced 3.3thash, so I have a duty to deliver at least that much. I will leave as much of the hardware on it as it necessary.
2) What is the price per share going to be? At this point we are one day away from the vote deadline we need to lock this in.
It really depends on the offer(s) we go with.
The most concrete offer I have had so far (IE I could take it now) would be 22.5k for 60 of the ~95 boards running right now. I have had several other offers for 800-1000 per board, but I have not heard back form then yet as far as total amounts and dates.
And yes, Im planning on adding the 8BTC in addition to this.
To me this brings up more questions than it answers. Neither of those two offers are even close to the $287.50 per share vote that we have right now. If we only have 95 working boards those need to sell for about $1210 a board to get that rate per share.
1. What happened to the offer that we are voting on right now. Is that not an option anymore?
2. Are there more boards that are not running that were included in that number?

2) What is the price per share going to be? At this point we are one day away from the vote deadline we need to lock this in.
3) If there is a majority vote either way and not all the members vote will that vote still be valid?

I don't want to make anything in this group buy vote more complicated than sell or don't sell. You idea of offering more mining options for units that are available now is a good one, but I would prefer to see that in a seperate group buy.

I have a feeling that a lot of people were eying r17 as their alternative after the refund. Owing to the fact that it's closed (paused?) this could change things fairly significantly for some folks and may change their votes. I would propose, since the options have changed somewhat, that we perhaps reset the votes with the current information. I waited for news from bob but didn't anticipate r17 being closed.
My vote wont change. I did however point to R-17 as a possible avenue for others that wanted to continue to hash. I am ready to live with this no matter the outcome.
My vote will not change either. I know Bob is trying and I applaud his effort. But right now we are still at about 3.75 Ghash/share without the Jupiter as I don't think it is fair to count it. This coop has been very fair in supplementing the bitcoin mining, but I don't think that is fair to expect or even request going forward.
As far as R17 goes it sounds like the could be another option as soon as more details about the second batch of Black Arrows are figured out.

R9-12 should be producing 2.3745 BTC at the current difficulty rating.
As of this writing, the 24 BTC for R9-12 is 1.67354500. The next projected difficulty is showing as 889,752,235 and if R9-12 were at 3.34GH/s this would be 1.8879 BTC for a 24 hour period.
I do appreciate ALL THE HARD WORK Bob has put into getting R9-12 up and running, but if this equipment is not going to be productive, I say we put it to a GB vote and move forward.

Yes, it's the risk we take. If BTC price takes a dive, we intend to hold the funds for refunds or until the price recovers so that we don't lose buying power (which is the goal) when we complete a purchase.
Please clarify this a bit more DZ. When I read your last comment it seemed to indicate that if BTC takes a dive you would not be able to buy the miner. In this case it is the share owner taking the loss.
Right now I have 0.81 invested into 3 mining shares. Right now this is worth over 4 shares. At first I considered asking for a refund just because of the price increase, but in the interest of fairness I admit that I would not want to be refunded if the bitcoin price were to go down less than the valuation when I made my order and decided against it.
To me it is only fair if as a Coop it is either one or the other. Either we are locked in at our bitcoin USD price at the time of our order or the number of shares is determined when the miner is bought. I have been very happy with every thing I have seen from DZ and all of the others involved in this Coop. Most of the DZ other group buys opened and closed so fast that I did not see enough fluctuations in price for it to make much of a difference. (My first group buy with DZ was the Bitfury Bullet Run).
I would be interested in hearing other thoughts on this.
Skyrocket in price means the site determined BTC to be at 200 then in 24 hours the site believed the price to be 400., when these rounds begun it believed the price to be between 650-700 and it was fairly steady on that.
Thanks Thomas for the round 7 example. Closing early and increasing the hashrate is another fair way to to it. Everyone involved with the Coop has been both reasonable and fair and I am happy to be a part of it. I was just looking for clarification and you have provided a satisfactory one.

Technically, I purchase the machine from them, then offer it off for sale here. Makes everything easier.
Does that mean that you bear the risk/reward of USD per bitcoin price fluctuations. That is fair to me, as long as you are willing to bear the loss as well as win the profit.
