Satoshi will never show again, he/she is like frodo bolson, he/she holds the ring/(private keys) and keeps all the preasure of holding but probably destroy the keys of their coins and any evidence and now he/she is having a peace full life

Re: For Coinbase Satoshi Nakamoto is a Risk Factor
I think that Coinbase checks all possible scenarios, and of course one is that SN moves their coins to somewhere else. Probably the price will drop but life will continue and bitcoin will grow again and again.

Re: how many bitcoin is left ordinary people's hand?
You don't need to buy bitcoin there are a million satoshi and users will start buying and holding satoshi not bitcoin. Bitcoin will be for whales or institutional investors. in 2013 people was tipping more than 5 bitcoin. Some Bitcoins that have been reported as lost will be found. i know many of friends recover wallets that they have forgotten or not remember the private key.
Well if you can remember a private key you are touch by the gods! jajjaja

I think that is not a technical problem and looks more a intentional manipulation, remmember that they "keep your private key" safely, but if you dont have the private key then is not your coin.

I think that guy is another mesias that claim be satoshi, the only valid thing is to transfer some of they coins he owns to somewhere, and as far as I know there is no movement on original satohsi wallet.

Remember that if you dont own the private keys they can do the same as robinhood, at the end they are companies that manage by vipers that wanted to do money for big fishes.
I think that is good for bitcoin in the short term, but in the long term not sure about that vultures..... still have my doubts.

I agree that is not our business to decide what is old or lost. So as the user cr1776 said
Just remember that in a free world what someone else does with his bitcoins (money, life etc) really isn't your business and vice versa.

try to find in old backups if you have them, if not try to find a recovery tool that can scan hard disk blocks and as some users mention find key words as "wallet", "bitcoin", "bt" and so on.
Good luck!

Thanks for the responses guys!!! So from my understanding miners can be in isolated networks and when they need to add the block to a pool then they will contact with the bitcoin nodes, correct? Thanks again guys!!!!

Re: New self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto's reveal is a complete epic fail?
Sorry if this question is not here, Im a newbie . Im would like to play with the file format of the ledger (where the transactions are stored) a stupid program that counts the number of transactions on one file and things like that. As far as I know, the transactions are stored on some type of format, where I can see the specification of the format of the records? On the other hand, where I can download a small ledger as example? I don't want to download the 150GB if possible
Many Thanks!
