Install the latest AMD driver, and switch cards that the monitor plugs into to overclock each card.

Also, be sure you have a good full tower case with side fans and a fan on top

3 cards is gonna get hot. Try de-clocking.

I'm guessing the cards are humping eachother? Even ATX cases really aren't designed to handle 3 cards unless the computer is in a freezer...

at least I put my overdrive settings. Would be nice for everyone to share them. I think 1475 for a dual card machine is exceptional. That's 787.5 mhash per card... I was only getting 1325 without overdrive.

Saphire Radeon HD 7870 XT OC'd 1125 MHz + 7950 OC'd to 1100; +20% power  = 1050

2x Gigabyte 7970 GHz OC'd to 1225 MHz + 12% power = 1475 Mhash

Total Mhash = 2525

I have a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT Tahiti OC'd to 1150 MHz with a 7950 Tahiti OC'd to 1100, +20% power, puts out 1050 mhash with that machine with diablominer.

My newer rig is two Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz edition Tahitis OC'd to 1225 MHz +12% power, gets me a whopping 1475 mhash  Grin

Is mine bigger than yours?  Tongue

Yeah yeah, before you people who claim to have ASIC's, we all know yours is the biggest around... To be fair let's keep this a GPU comparison lol Smiley

Re: DiabloMiner GPU Miner

Well I couldn't get cgminer to work for me. I opened it ok and it just stays at loading. no errors or anything. IDK. I think I'll just keep mining on pool.itzod.ru since there's no fees and when your software upgrades to support stratum, then I'll go to slush's pool.

I'm getting 1475 mhash on my two gigabyte 7870 GHz editions overclocked to 1225 MHz. Very nice rate IMO. with 4 difficulty I get about 0.25% stale

This might be a n00b question but does it support stratum? I like diablominer, and my AV says the only CGminer I can find atm has a Trojan in it. no ty. It's not from the original author... IDK...

Con was kind enough to send a linux source tarball and a binary...

For now the following will work:

Linux Binary - http://www.sendspace.com/file/71oid5
Linux Source - http://www.sendspace.com/file/e3e6w8
Windows Binary - http://www.sendspace.com/file/s14bk2
There's a Trojan in there...

Type:  Trojan
Systems Affected:  Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000

Trojan.ADH.2 is a detection technology designed to detect entirely new malware threats without traditional signatures. This technology is aimed at detecting malicious software that has been intentionally mutated or morphed by attackers.

EDIT: just read the first post, kinda sucks diablominer doesn't have a "Trojan", and it works great aside from stratum. ugh :\

EDIT2: Just tried cgminer... had to allow it in Norton internet security, and it still won't work...

Re: Mining flags for a 7990?
by

on 10/04/2013, 15:01:43 UTC
what program are you using? The 7990 has a low GPU clock speed. My dual 7970 GHz edition run at 1100 MHz and use up less juice combined, with just as many shaders, and costed a penny less.

I get 1325 average with diablominer with dual 7970 GHz editions.

I use -v 1 -w 256

Board Scam Accusations
Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM
by

Personally I'm relieved that this is a scam. I mean, seriously, one mini rig replaces about 20%-25% of all mining globally? Sounds like a bad thing for the average miner who doesn't have thousands of dollars to throw around...or in my case even $500 would be breaking the bank. So, yeah, for self-serving reasons I hope it remains GPU based...at least this way I have a nice card for gaming as well as mining. Cheesy

Not to mention decent video editing. My thoughts exactly.

Sorry to those who bought the BFL bs  Sad

Diablominer won't work anymore

I was using diablominer beautifully, then I started getting BSOD, now when I run it it just closes really quick. Is there a way to troubleshoot or fix this?
