The dutch tulip looks fade, another of those very similar speculative event tricked us a century back. And the smell was not as good as the tulip.
Our ancestors kept throwing in their savings, just on the basis of speculation for a few bits on their computer without realizing BTC 2, BTC 3 and BTC X were there, just a copy paste ahead from github and without much more substance in there, than the media vehicled valuation, ie the only criterium agreed upon on that valuation question.
Valuation of BTC used to be the question while exchanges websites were already deciding for the bid/ask only based models and up to the mercy of any manipulation. This was the hegemony of the model resulting in the catastrophic consequences for the investors back then.

clam was fun but with all those private adresses out there ahaving had btc, that is way too many CLAMs influx on the market if, ever, it happens that the coins gets some notoriety.

The only weird thing I didnt really understand in this scam, was that how easy it was to trace back identity of the scammers , up to their fb account,etc. I doubt these identities were also faked. It is so bizarre to jeopardize both a fresh inc. Company and identity reputation as such.

Just read their roadmap, and what they claim to be doing intially with the money and all their few contradicting statement misleading about what the "development team was going to do" ., all of that was quickly set up for making some btc out of the IPO. period

They changed it into cash becouse Bitcoin was in down trent, most funds are avaleble they told me 4 weeks ago.
That was understandable, but best was to inform/ask the community, before taking that action. The bond between Bitsend and community would have been stronger. A lesson to learn for the future of this project.
Nevertheless: Looking forward to the next message of Bitsend.
They did say that they sold nearly all Bitcoins but have never been that transparant to tell the community how much really is left. That's something that bothers many. I hope they did not just move them to another wallet and wait for bitcoin to rise to make a comeback. Current marketprice reflects what the people think it's still worth, 65% loss isn't pretty. Bitsend should just put their cards on the table, sadly they don't work or communicate with the community. Some people were willing to help out but it wasn't received well.

What the article DOESN'T mention or acknowledge is that the only way for a terrorist organization to acquire bitcoin in large quantities is to us government controlled fiat to buy bitcoin. That transaction would be the trigger to the government that a terrorist organization is making some financial moves. It may force governments to act on suspected terrorist organizations earlier than usual, but I don't think bitcoin will enable terrorism any more than using dollars does. It's possible to counterfeit fiat...not bitcoin, which makes doing business (for a terrorist) more expensive.

We have been watching this thread for a while now. The reactions of the community are various.
It is impossible to react on every question there has been asked in the passed few weeks, thats why we have chosen to react to the community as a group rather than individual.
We have been meeting,mailing and calling with several possible investors. At this moment we don't have any promising results to share but we are awaiting feedback from several parties. We are trying to keep Checkcoin on the most important exchanges and we appreciate any help with that. The community of Checkcoin should not be afraid that the Team of Bitsend will ever leave this project before finishing it.
We will come back with a detailed update within 20 days.
