GeneralBytes BATMTWO Classic for sale - UK
by

on 30/10/2019, 13:24:52 UTC
I'm looking to sell on my General Bytes ATM - had it for a year or so but current projects mean I'm too busy to keep running it.
It's hardly been used and is in great condition.

Currently in the Channel Islands, south of the UK.

Looking for £2500, buyer to pay for delivery.
Will of course, accept BTC.

DM if interested.

Accountant from Jersey (offshore finance center) talks about Bitcoin
by

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUAWAfHnx9Y

Accountant Jonathan Day (www.carpediem.je) talks at the July 2013 Tech Tribes Talks in Jersey and explains his thoughts and experience with crypto-currency Bitcoin. Jonathan has been involved in mining for a fair and shares his thoughts on his various setups, including a Butterfly Labs Jalapeno, ASIC USB Block Erupter & ASIC miners.

The audience was made up from representatives from legal, banking, private finance, education and tech industries and the general awareness of Bitcoin was pretty high. Jonathan (not being from a tech background) did a decent job of explaining the general ideas and methods behind Bitcoin.

(ignore the fact he keeps on referring to it as bitcoins, and that the mic placement led to some phone interference at points).

I'd buy the remaining three for 13.5 BTC (4.5 each)

I'll take 5 @ 2.95

You haven't responded to PMs for over a day.

I have 16 buyers that are waiting on share transfers.

If you cannot make arrangements for payment in the next 8 hours, I will cancel your order and proceed with transfer of the remaining shares.

Sorry about this - had no internet connection over the weekend. I completely understand that I missed the window for payment.
Thanks anyway

System RAM doesn't impact too much when building a litecoin mining rig - 2Gb should be plenty.

I've had some success mining Litecoin, but I'd agree with the above - bitcoin mining is probably going to be easiest route into mining coin.

Re: Mac Mining

To mirror the above comments - I wouldn't mine on a mac. I mined with a few iMacs a year or so ago and even with decent power management, they're not designed for such intense applications. Also the unibody macbooks don't really lend themselves to easily replacing the GPUs...

Re: Why are so many selling their mining rigs ?

Surely due to the increased demand for mining rigs, that you can sell them for profit and then build another that's tweaked more for other cryto-currencies (or power/heat/noise management)?

Re: price over the next month

Do we have any patterns emerging when it comes to the time of year (instead of the usual week/monthly based patterns) or has it not been enough seasons in the public eye to be effected?
