I know this is a dead topic but its incomplete as the instructions are missing a step and I have been pulling my hair out for months (very part time) trying to get a firmware to load.

For anyone else looking how to do this the answer seems to be here but not specifying '-9' as the compression level for the gzip command:

I have been using the steps posted earlier with the gzip command like this to repack the firmware up:

find . | cpio -o -H newc > ../Angstrom-antminer_m-eglibc-ipk-v2013.06-beaglebone.rootfs.cpio
cd ..
gzip Angstrom-antminer_m-eglibc-ipk-v2013.06-beaglebone.rootfs.cpio
mkimage -n 'Angstrom-antminer_m-eglibc-ipk-v' -A arm -O linux -T ramdisk -d Angstrom-antminer_m-eglibc-ipk-v2013.06-beaglebone.rootfs.cpio.gz ../initramfs.bin.SD
cd ..
tar czvf Antminer-D3-myversion.tar.gz initramfs.bin.SD runme.sh am335x-boneblack-bitmainer.dtb

Hope this helps someone and may work for newer miners but I havent got one yet as still working on a PoC

It sounds more like they are wanting a call to verify you are the person on the documents which you provided and not just to ask you questions.

I would suggest you jump through thier hoops in the hope of getting your funds back and then stay well away from them. If it were me I would also close my account and request they delete all the information they hold on record.

I havent actually looked but i have used a couple of fake ASIC stores and just because they refund you doesnt make them 100% legit. Im not sure if the store this thread is about is a scam but you would have got your money back via paypal anyway and they know that. I suspect they offer paypal and refund PP in the hope to gain your trust and use BTC next time, which is obvisouly when they would get you (assuming they are a scam).

Out of interest what is the country on thier paypal and are they verified?

I also find it odd that FJ only removed the winnings from the OP's balance and left the amount he deposited and did not 'confiscate all monetary funds available' on the account as per the ToS... If they are so sure the OP was multi-accounting they would surely take all funds as per the ToS. As they havent it would lead to me to believe there is at least a case for the OP.

Unfortunatly this isnt them starting to cheat people as they have been doing that for a long while now, Its more like the end of cheating people as they are stopping services. I just hope they dont cheat too many people on the way out...

You could try to VPN from a country on the whitelist as it could just be you cant verify because of a geoIP restriction.

VPN in and see if it still greyed out.

If you paid with card, in particular credit card, I would suggest contacting your bank as well.
