Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests

I think with the ongoing pandemic and the war in Ukraine,
it has inflicted so much in economies worldwide. That
combination alone is causing fuel prices and grains to
spike up. Its somewhat setting a chain reaction until
it affects currencies and everyday necessities.

Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down
by
beej
on 10/10/2022, 15:06:08 UTC
Hello Everyone,

I am not speaking about just Bitcoin. I am speaking about every cryptocurrency / token.  Regardless of crypto price fluctuations, many online and offline stores are ready to accept crypto as payment. So How will willing are you to spend crypto for your purchases?

If one doesn't spend their crypto for purchases and wait for to spend their crypto when its price is nice, are they really considering it as a cryptocurrency or can we assume like those people are treating more like a security or investment instrument?

Well as of the moment, with the prevalent cryptocurrency market conditions,
I intend to hold my bitcoins and probably wait to buy more of it when prices
dip a bit more. We all have a preferable baseline prices to buy and sell crypto,
mine hasn’t been that close yet. Im a bit puzzled since I am hoping for prices
to improve in the coming December. That would be a good time to spend crypto
if all goes well.

I too think it’s a yes, bearish market sounds a bit gloomy
especially for individuals that have invested earlier and
see their coins dipping. But if you think and accept that it may
be a good thing, it is another opportunity to purchase more and
other alt coins that may interest you at a cheaper price,
somewhat a diversification of investments as some may call it.
A smart strategy to improve your odds and assets even if its
a small-scale percentage .

Re: Teach Children Financial Education
by

I surmise that there will be some specific time and point
for teaching financial education to children. But the priority
I believe is to simply guide them properly in money matters
as they grow. I think there is no simple method to this
approach whether its in schools or at home, but that does
not mean it’s irrelevant to still nurture their minds about
financial matters. Its important to make them be aware of
the impact of monetary value in life and how much more
salient it is to even earn it. Mathematics is the first subject
I can recall that somehow taught me about money as
youngster, it probably is still the same with todays teaching
standards in schools.

Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing.
by
beej
on 09/10/2022, 12:44:10 UTC
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

Social media is quite dominant in creating buzz on anything these days. Its no surprise
though since a lot of social media platforms have been monetized. Its right up there
alley, social media kinda evolve throughout the years, from a viewing portal now its
creating interesting opportunities and generating income and revenue for a lot of people.
It is a sort of power in my opinion, not to be taken lightly or exploited and misused.
Its just a part of the evolution of technology, we are now a species plugged in on a
daily basis, to some social media is now part of human society. Love it or hate it, all
of us should all be responsible and careful on how we use social media in our lives.

You are not alone on this type of situation. I believe there are plenty
of individuals that have similar circumstances. With the pandemic
a lot are glued to laptops and smart phones to work and stuff. The
position you are in at the moment isn’t substandard or unpleasant
at all, once the people who judge you because your always at your
house on the laptop finds out how chill and convenient your job and
work settings are at the moment, inevitably they will really question
themselves and the lives they live. The comparison will be undeniably
eye opening for them or course.

Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto
by

on 07/10/2022, 15:49:10 UTC
Nowadays if you are resourceful and savvy enough with
internet you definitely can find means to earn. Depends
on whether you are gonna work or invest, much better
if you do both. This forum for example is a gateway to
information on such matters, it is vital to learn the craft,
acquire a bit of skills and you can explore the numerous
options and opportunities available. There are several
apps for example that allows you buy, trade, convert
and monitor the market. I started with that at the
beginning years ago and it help me understand how the
flow was with cryptocurrency. Eventually reading and
getting into platforms will elevate your knowledge on
the matter as you absorb much more information later
on. Invest and work for it, simple as that. Goodluck.

Re: newbie invest
by

on 07/10/2022, 15:16:56 UTC
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins
BTC, plain and simple.

Don't make a classic newbie mistake thinking that you are too late for Bitcoin, making you focusing on altcoins while in reality Bitcoin outperforms all of them in the long run. I did something similar back in late 2013 when I thought just because I couldn't afford 1 whole Bitcoin that I am too late to the party.

Absolutely right on this. Whenever market prices are red, and the
major cryptocurrencies are down it’s a bad time for well seasoned
traders but for some it’s a markdown sale. Great time to invest in
Bitcoins and Ethereum in my opinion. If your a beginner you gotta
play it safer, a percentage of the major currencies should be a
logical first choice, when you learn more about the market you
could try explore investing other ones, point is it is a learning process
but its never too late to get into altcoins, just be sure on the choices
available.

Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy
by

on 05/10/2022, 14:25:50 UTC
The impact is prominently felt worldwide, its
a additional worrisome to everyone since the
pandemic started. Besides markets and economies
some analyst are theorizing that the continuing
situation with Ukraine and Russia is a precursor
a world war. It used to sound dubious and unreal
as conflicts on such matters are dealt with diplomacy
throughout the uears but more and more as the war
continues to progress and escalate further, that reality
of a bigger war seems to slowly take shape. Even
with the sanctions imposed against Russia, it hasn’t
slowed down. This war impacts us all, it affects
modern society and economies everywhere.

There is a strong probability that prices are not going back

passing over the ever growing prices of commodities and

Re: Does the planet really need saving?
by
beej
on 01/10/2022, 14:31:34 UTC
I think we as a species on this planet need saving. We have
always relied on earth’s resources to thrive. The planet is
going through changes right now with climate change,
emissions and rising sea levels. A considerable aftermath
and consequence with man’s industrialization and abuse to
nature, which unfortunately over time will lead to our demise
if no conclusive amount of action and process would make a
great impact on the problem. I think it’s speeding up more in
last 10 years, that movie Waterworld is like a foreshadowing
glimpse to what we are gonna be dealing with in the next 30
to 50 years. Earth is saving itself, with all these natural
calamities going everywhere, the changes thats happening
and will continue to happen is a process in itself.

⭐ Merited by JayJuanGee (1)
Well I too have my share of regrets with regards to
cryptocurrency and investments. I too wished I had
invested earlier when prices were low and bitcoin in
my country was not that much of a big deal. During
2010 til 2015, there was so much skepticism and
doubt about it, scams were always on the news and
people associated cryptocurrency as such. It was a
different time then, even trading platforms and
bitcoin wallets weren’t that much many options that
operated in my country. But still bitcoin prevailed over
the years and now with all the over crypto out there,
it has sprouted and grown higher. Even a 10 year
old neighbor of mine has a crypto wallet and knows
the trends and nfts and stuff. Im hopeful things are
not that too late, prices are a bit dipping now its a
good start to probably getting back at it.

Re: "Be your own Bank with Bitcoin" - A reminder why this is so important!
by
beej
on 25/09/2022, 15:39:54 UTC
Bitcoin doesn't remove the risks of you getting mugged. If anything, it's potentially worse with bitcoin/crypto. They just hit you with a wrench at your home until you give up access to your wallet. Hence why being private/secretive about your holdings is very important!

https://cryptosec.info/wrench-attack/

I acknowledge the importance of privacy with your holdings and investments, I believe
it is a matter of great importance to do so. I think banks and bitcoins have different
significance in storage and accumulated wealth. Banks are safekeeping monetary
institutions, traditional in a sense if you think much about it. However in today’s
trend and computing advancements , the emergence and rise of Bitcoins and
cryptocurrency has given a new kind of capability and control to peoples investment
and money. It’s a matter of preference since both are essentially vital in today’s
financial framework. I think large amounts of money is safe in banks, there are
new and improved safeguards that keep things that way, bitcoins are great
investments options that has been promising and competent throughout the years,
That in fact if you don’t mind the volatile nature and component bundled with it.

Re: Is money for survival or luxury?
by
beej
on 24/09/2022, 14:06:35 UTC
Nowadays especially with the pandemic and worldwide
economic crisis due to the war, money tends to be more
on the survival side. If you live in a third world country,
money is a means of survival. But to rich countries and
well off individuals, money can provide a luxurious
life. I think it’s both to be honest, big part on the survival,
needs and essentials and the rest on affordable luxury.

Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future?
by

Not at all, government jobs will still be relevant even if crypto
disappears. Crypto jobs are convenient no doubt, working at
home and so much freedom in it, but it’s a bit irrational to
consider government jobs irrelevant because of crypto jobs,
It’s crazy to think or even imagine of such a thing. It does
not make any sense, it’s two different worlds. Someone
maybe trying to shake something here with such a question.

I simply try to be optimistic at all times. Whether prices go
up the better and when they dip its considerably good. Some
stuff you can’t control but you can control how you react to
them, makes you think more and decide better decisions and
strategies. Buy low sell high as they say, but depends entirely
on my short term and longterm goals in crypto. Im still
learning, I think we all are in this market. The unpredictability
still adds that kick we all like and dislike by others, in a sense
its exciting at times.

Re: I have started teaching Bitcoin to my Neighbors
by
beej
on 19/09/2022, 13:55:56 UTC
I did this once with my office mates and some other
close personnels at another department years ago,
they listened and some had a grasp of the potential
bitcoins and cryptocurrency, but most were quite
doubtful. I understand the doubt way back then,
but a lot were so skeptical and were hard to persuade.
Some years pass by and I encountered the skeptic
ones and they were all over it, investing and even
trading on some platform available in my country.
That was when bitcoin hit $30k, it peaked at 40k
that year I believe. No matter how much you teach
it’s entirely up to these individuals on how they tend
to invest and dive into the market based on their
understanding and knowledge. Risk is a factor that
everyone must take into consideration, since it still
is highly volatile, but with some luck and smart
choices it can be very rewarding.

Re: More people now work in clean energy than in fossil fuels
by
beej
on 18/09/2022, 13:46:12 UTC
Probably a case of too little too late on this one. The climate change is now unavoidable and the concentration of fossil fuels that most countries import have been exposed clearly during Putin's war. Energy weaponised, people unable to pay their bills and governments basically handing our money that will not go to education or health systems.

And I am pessimistic - I believe that it will be forgotten and we will still not develop renewables as they should.

I am in agreement with this one, clear and shear truth on spot on that one.
It’s just gonna get hotter and hotter every year now, climate change is realistically
and ineluctably here to stay for good. We are just too late and too damn slow on doing
anything about it for the past 10 years. The pandemic however during the height of Covid-19’s
peak and global incursion did lower gas emissions and somehow benefited the planet
with all the travel restrictions and quarantine protocols. Now everything is up and running
again everywhere, emission’s gonna pick up the pace even speed it up by a few degrees
annually. Things is, all forms of clean and renewable energy is really good. It’s just hard to
to fully put it out there for everyone since setting it up is costly to some. Now matter how many
people work on it, it is still behind and things are getting a bit hotter everywhere on the planet.

Im not so sure on this, Just because the news is reporting
progress on Ukraine’s side it doesn’t entirely mean Russia is
on way to zero. Just take a loon what happened to energy, oil
and grain prices when the war started, it’s that much of an
impact worldwide. With or without the sanctions, a country like
that will thrive and survive at any cost. Im against any kind
of war seeing and feeling the effects it has on nations and
people, heres hoping that powerful countries will come to
a realistic solution to end such conflicts so we can focus on
more pressing and concerning matters with our planet.

Re: Flood causing economics crises
by
beej
on 16/09/2022, 15:15:43 UTC
Almost everything thats occurring in the world today
seems to affect economies everywhere. Ever since the
pandemic started, everything went highly vulnerable.
Now with the war and grave effects of global warming,
its what people feared and speculated several years ago
ever since politicians, activists and scientists brought to
the mind and attention to the world of the long term
consequences of global warming. Floods and drought
are now occurring in places they normally don’t happen.
Oceans and sea levels are rising, sinking islands, flooding
cities and stronger storms is what the world is facing.
The said  impact will surely continue to rise and disrupt
progress and damage markets and economies. Hopefully
things will get better soon or we will be in a lot of more
trouble.
