I think this is a good idea. If the project allows each participant to participate in the investment, then large investors will be able to buy the bulk of the projects shares and thus start managing the project.

Now, airdrops and bounties have changed my friend. Because scammers find that way to scam like a boss via ICO projects. They are doing airdrop campaigns with referral programs. That means they will take a large number of participants. A large number of participants means your token value is small. The airdrops and bounties and not profitable in this time.
