A newbie here, and i'm freaking out already...
Been trading on gdax for past 2 days, and today when bitcoin hit a really high price gdax and coinbase are DOWN
It says service unavailable, and gdax too, so i can't access any of them and don't know where the money is
Has this happened before?

so if i buy BTC, and then with BTC i exchange to Monero, what happens afterwards? i mean in 6 months for example i want to sell Monero, do i have to exchange it back to BTC? but BTC would have also doubled in price...

so far i have found coinbase and gdax
Coinbase take more fees than gdax, but is more user friendly...
Am i on the right path ? or can you recommend another buying platform ?
