Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.0 (Windows/Linux)

Hi, i just started mining with claymore. 5 RX480 red devils, and on of them keeps hashing low, i copy what im getting

ETH - Total Speed: 102.287 Mh/s, Total Shares: 139, Rejected: 0, Time: 01:35
ETH: GPU0 4.220 Mh/s, GPU1 24.774 Mh/s, GPU2 24.149 Mh/s, GPU3 24.665 Mh/s, GPU4 24.718 Mh/s

Can you guys help me and tell why getting that low hash rate

Thanks

It occurs on the primary video card. You can either attach a monitor to it or a dummy vga dongle.

I see some weird behaviour of the chain again, blocks are orphaned  "in reverse".. So first you have 2-3 blocks and suddenly a different, longer chain seems to reorganize "my" chain and replaces their blocks with mine...

I don't know how long this stuff will going on ... This coin is probably in alpha state compared to "old" coins using the bitcoin codebase, it needs fixes ..

Ok, I am starting to fell uncomfortable with things like this and no news or comments from the dev. We need some backup related to this points, or the coin will never rise again. As I said, there is a lot or hard work to do, but it looks like only OC is doing it.

One man development team definitely won't be enough at this stage...

Pascal is live now on Nicehash.

This is good news... Hash could raise, and this could bump the price.

Someone with no grasp of financials.

Supply and demand.  The lower the supply the greater the demand. (and the higher the price.)

The higher the supply the lower the demand (and the lower the price.)

Look at every coin dual minable by Claymore. within a few days of release price spikes (pumps) and then the price gradually goes down.
Supply and demand but not the hashing power but the coin. Pascal coin supply is programmed steady (100 PASC in cc. every 5 minutes), so the rising or falling of hashing power has no effect on coin supply and therefore on price.

Rising of hashing power rises the difficulty which will affect profitability of mining negatively.

please help me configure mining to flypool

my but file

SET GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

optiminer -s eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u t1cCsQhjhFi8ZDbQNZB6tVEJaeBEQ1B7swq.7 -p xx -m 8080

pause

https://gyazo.com/6426d0beeeb46272bb929c42de5726aa  but mining fail Cry

With Optiminer you need "zstratum://" prefix before the pool address. Like: zstratum://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333. If you mining securely: zstratum+tls://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3443

but payments on Suprnova you must manually request for pascalcoin?

You can setup autopayment as well.

Some of my machines randomly go into "Not Mining" mode on all cards. Anybody have any clue why?

Pool connection problem. Same with my rigs.

Haha, Miner shows 6800 mhs.. nanopool shows 948.   Something really wrong here

After 40 min mining to Nanopool my reported hashrate by the pool is just 1800 mh/s, but my miners report 6600 mh/s.

No. It is just for testing.

Hello,
I am almost mining. My issue is starting the proxy. Not clear on how that is done. I know a .jar can be run with java. Made a batch
java -jar PascalProxyv2.jar . When I run the batch I input my host and 8digit miner name.
The same console then says The batch file cannot be found.
What batch file ? I do have start.bat in the same folder which does start the miner. The miner error crashes since the proxy is not running.
Thank if you could offer advice.
I have 4 6 card rigs all running pascalminer 0.2 but would like to try this miner out.
2 of the 4 keep crashing for no apparent reason. Th other 2 have not stopped since I first started.

If you use PascalCoinWalletB1.4.2.0 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/files/) you don't need a separate proxy.

It crossed my mind, I have ~60 confirmations, I couldn't find how many blocks are needed for it to bo confirmed. Is it 100 confirmations?

I tried it, received this response: "submit JSON:"results:" "error""
Does it mean my miner is working properly?

It means it can find lower targets, so it can find something at least, but still can be bug and could not find higher targets ..  what is your hashrate? (i could not find anything at -t 10)

6700 mh/s with 3 rigs, I tried this lower target trick with one rig. Mining for 24 h with OpenCL v0.2 miner, no block found.

Sorry, I can't help everybody... imposible

For everybody that's having issues with OpenCL v0.2 miner, please read:

- If you're using NVIDIA, I don't know if it works properly, I haven't tested it
- If when executing PascalCoinMiner.exe a raise exception is shown... perhaps there is an error with your OpenCL drivers, check that you have a valid version. If version is valid, then sorry... it doesn't work
- If you want to know if your miner is working properly (and finding valids "nonce" for generate a block) , read this trick and try it (posted days ago)

A small trick for PascalCoinMiner (OpenCL miner v0.2)

You can add -t param (this param is not documented, I used it for testing purposes)

What does param -t do:
When Wallet sends a job to the miner, "target" is a 32 bits value with left-byte indicating how many "0" bits on the left must have the PoW

Example: target=2DD63426 -> Left byte 2D is equal to 45 in decimal, so, first 45 bits of PoW must be "0"

When you add -t param you can subtract the indicated left bits, for example, a "-t 10" then miner will find 45-10=35 left "0" bits of PoW
With this example, your miner will submit a work to your wallet more quickly, but of course, wallet will say that "pow is lower than target" because is an invalid PoW

It will help you to visually see if your miner is working properly

Try it.
Code:
PascalCoinMiner.exe -p 0 -d 1 -s -n Test -t 10

I tried it, received this response: "submit JSON:"results:" "error""
Does it mean my miner is working properly?

my doubt and the wallet must be installed on each rig ?, or just one wallet, and in different rig just put -s 192.168.0. .......?

You can point to just one wallet from all of your rigs. But if this wallet fails, All your rigs will mine for nothing. So it is more failsave to use several wallets.

Version 1.5.0 pixelates the screen on all my rigs, but anyway rock stabile. This didn't happened under previous versions.

modded or not ?

Not modded, not overclocked and haven't changed any hardware thing. 1.4.0 and any previous versions didn't have such an issue.
