MinerBoxes from PCPraha.cz or minerboxes.com can make the miner very silent. Or you can just buy miners like AL0 or KS0 for home mining (iceriver machines).
Of course, with these ASICs there will be quiet mining, but this does not mean that it will be profitable. You will give 1000 dollars for an ASIC, and then for 3 years you will receive 1 dollar per day Smiley If we take average profit values.

AL1 PRO is profitable rn, you just have to watch the market and buy asap. Or the hosting option ofc with low electricity prices
I'm not crazy to pay $33,000 for this asic Smiley
Better then to look at the new A11 asic from DragonBall Miner, which is almost 3 times cheaper and its profit is almost the same.
But these asics are mining shitcoins, and the profit will drop every day.

Yes it will drop, like gpus and everything else.

The one thing that will happen is these coins will pump like hell during the bull market because the asic developers have mined a heap before release.  Radiant is a classic example, asics have been on the network for months
but they have only just been released to the public

Found a source for PNY Rtx A4000 cards

We got 18 of them

They do 63 mh at 120 watts.

They sold out dealer had 65 yesterday and now has 0.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FCBKau5xK00

They arrive monday. I will post results.

I am getting 2 more cases for 12 cards.

I will mix in these with my 3090 cards and have beastly rigs.

Just wondering why you ordered these over the 3090?

Are 3090s still hard to get hold of in the states?

I can get 2 of these for the same price as 3090s, so just wondering if  there is any advantage I'm missing?

#egwcapital will be launching a US $100 million #blockchain diversified fund. The fund will invest 40-45% of its size into $DGB coins. The idea is to take #digibyte to the Wallstreet and make it easier for them to invest.

Jared Tate stepped down from heading up Digibyte because he wanted to set an example that actions are more powerful than just words. He truly is serious about decentralization and showed it with his decentralized stepping down.... But he is holding onto his DGB bag with a passion because he knows it can succeed without heading it up.

Jared wrote: "Stepping away from social media & taking a well earned summer sabbatical does not equate to selling everything & leaving forever. I still hold 99% of all my crypto in DGB & always will. Its time for DigiByte to shine on its own."

The BTC-DMD market will be removed on 07/12/2019

Gone from bittrex.

Whats next for the project?

Once you have been removed from a major exchange its generally the end of the project because its
damn hard to get back on to any of them. Sad

Bittrex made it clear that we have the right to submit a new request for listing in 3 - 6 months after they see the V4 code update.

There was news coverage for deletion, does that mean that it will be resurrected by v4 code? 100% possibility? Or are you still undecided? Is the decision authority on the bittrex side? Or is it a money problem?

There's never a guarantee for relisting.

Trade volume is just way too low, if bittrex aren't making any money from fees, they
Delist.
Hoping v4 will enable better use cases, at the moment it's just another pos/masternode coin.
Looking forward to the next update.

I think Digibyte is not good coin as it has outdated technology behind it Sad

There is no such thing as outdated tech here in CRYPTO!!! That's blasphemy lol...jk. Nah being real here, DGB is just a different kind of Crypto in a sea of Crypto's. This space is still way way young and I been around it a long time enough to know this, stick with proven coins with strong communities and active development. Every project does things different or builds on each other but coins that been around awhile are never old Tech to turn our backs on.

I have a feeling, DGB will have its moment, why I tend to mine up for it now and then and save back. Price dips are just apart of the space, BTC goes up, fluctuation on smaller cap coins and rinse and repeat. This coin I have less worries of in my portfolio....but the key is to only back what you feel right about, how you survive in this game
I meant "technology" in the sense of adapting to its use-case. I think Bitcoin SHA-256 POW is good for international - payment and as store of value, but for games (on which DGB is focused on) etc there are many way more suitable algorithms.
I think DGB won't have its time fundamentally (at most only speculatively)

the pool have problems... ten days now it's down..

Looking for alternative Digi mining sites until Blocks Factory fixes the issue.  Hate it too, because their interface was very functional, compared to other mining pools.

www.multipool.us

I only use scrypt with this one, no idea about sha. It merge mines with doge and via

miningpoolhub

I use this for groestl and skein.

I moved from blocksfactory after the first stuff up a few years ago and these have been the best alternatives I can find

All 5 algorithms are controlled by ASICs since the middle of 2017
So, any plan from Digibyte team to build up new algorithm to fight against domination of ASICs?

The Odocrypt algo is currently being tested.

This algo will automatically alter itself every 10 days, so you will have to update your miner every 10 days as well.

This should make it very asic resistant.

This one will be for gpu and fpga's.

They are still trying to come up with a gpu only algo, but that is a hell of a lot harder.

Guys, about DGB next algorithm to be Asic resistant (deployment wasannounced in january if i m right, after they said they tested it in november), do we know if they are targeting all Baikal DGB Algos ?
Also do we know if other coins like XVG have said anything about going the same way as DGB ?

Sorry to ask here but cant find any reliable information

The Odocrypt algo will be swapped out for one other algo only.

This is currently being tested and bear market or not, will be rolled out when its ready.

I didn't think we'd see DigiByte at/under a cent again, it pains me that I bought in at 3 cents. But still, it's nice to see DigiByte gaining ranks despite it's price drop.Hopefully it stays steady at 1 cent, as I don't think my heart can take much more of this bleeding.

You should take rational actions because the price drop is inevitable at this point. It will go under 100 satoshis for sure and my bottom prediction is around 60 satoshis.

DGB didn't have any relevant releases or partnerships this entire year. 2018 was a blank year for Digibyte.
Is someone paying you to continually fud DigiByte on here? Your posts and messages are not helping anyone and are completely factually incorrect.

There have been dozens of companies, exchanges, and groups that have publicly announced their support and addition for DGB in 2018. In fact, 2018 has been the best year in terms of growing the DGB ecosystem yet. For those reading this most news and information is released by companies on social media and telegram. No mainstream businesses make announcements on bitcointalk.

Please stop spewing fud that doesn't help anyone. The entire market is down now. Everything. This is not the first time and won't be the last. We have weathered bear markets worse than this in the past five years. All we can do is keep our heads down and keep working hard each and every day like we have the past five years.

DigiByte is a 100% community driven project built, developed, maintained and expanded by volunteers all over the planet. Why should you continually fud other peoples efforts when you can spend the same amount of time and energy to do something productive for the community to help DGB instead of trying to tear it down?

Thanks to everyone here who continues to support DigiByte and is remaining positive throughout this downturn. Bear markets don't last forever and DGB isn't going away anytime soon. We are here for the long haul.

Don't sweat it Jared.

This troll is still upset you didn't change one of the mining algos. Wink

Hey,
Would it be an issue if I turned my miners on at midnight and off again at 7am everyday?  I have substantially reduced electricity prices each night and want to take advantage of that, but not at the risk of damaging my miners.  What do you think?

I've been doing this for the past 4 months with mine. No issues so far.

I have solar, so I start them before I go to work at 6am and turn them off once they are using more power than I'm producing at about 6pm.

I have other miners running in that room, so the room is never really cold.

And how do they get the miners to deploy a new mining software version every 10 days?
I sense a major nightmare in that idea.

I hear what you are saying, but what is the difference between that and updating to a new version?

It would be slower for farms to update which would give the little guy a little bit of extra profit every 10 days.

I see your point though, it could turn into a nightmare very quickly.

every 10 days is faster then needed.

1 time a month should work.

prewrite 24 algos

release the new software on the last day of the month

start the new algo on the first of the month.

a gpu could  do the switch easy

but it would delay a fpga  for a bit of time  before it can switch

an asic would be trashed.

I think 1 time a month would hurt fpgas enough that they may not bother with the coin.

I think that it changes automatically every 10 days, so there is never a need to code a algo.

I do agree every 10 days is a bit quick, but how long does it take for a fpga programmer to up date their bitstreams??

You're putting your faith in a tarot card reading for DGB?
As for bitfinex, possibly a lot of traders on there are new to DGB and still making up their minds on it. With the market the way it is right now I would be more surprised if there had been a massive jump tbh (although I certainly would have welcomed it).

Fun fact about card readers scam:

They make analysis data about what people are talking about certain subject so they can give plausible predictions. So what this woman has gathered is that the DGB supporters live in a bubble in which they think the whole world cares or will care about DGB.

This won't happen because this coin is lacking on marketing and communication with the community.

Really good news for miners and decentralization.

This might shut the people up who think mining is the only real world use for Digibyte and any other developments don't mean anything.
Ooops! We are on bitcointalk aren't we! Cheesy

Development this year has been nothing short of awesome!

Thought this one might be a good point of discussion.

Digibyte is currently testing a new mining Algo that automatically changes itself every 10 days.
Will be very interesting to see how this turns out.
