Re: [ANN] BitShares EOS (BEOS)

The timing is hugely suspicious. The campaign commenced on april 5, about the time when bitshareas made its first move on its way to hitting 100x gain back in 2017. Another thing is, larimer jr. prefers to stay off the radar for unclear reason. Terradacs is controlled and most likely owned by stan larimer whereas dan larimer has no involvement in anything BEOS-related. I heard it will take 10 years to deploy the rest of the nodes, apparently due to high cost of the rocket launch procedure and the whole undertaking. The project is nothing but smoke and mirrors. I wonder who might want to have bts users lock their token in BEOS accounts for 3 months - arpil-june.

Even 10 years on the space deployment would be ok, until that is ready, having the nodes in the most jurisdictional friendly locations is genius. Stan I vote for one node in Liberland, true freedom feels closer than it's ever been!

it won't take ten years to get our first nodes in space.  We'll deploy a lot of them at sea in internaational waters and in various jurisdictions around the world.  Liberland is not out of the question if someone there is able to run a node.  Utah and Wyoming are good choices.   People will have lots of choices where their transactions will execute.  Dan Larimer is not involved, Stan Larimer definitely is.  What's your point?

BEOS will be useful this summer and get better as we build out the node distribution over the net few years.

Now... owing to the fact hat you announced your stuff at the exact time BTS pumped two years ago, it becomes apparent that you knew beforehand that prices will stay low. As low as possible. What are you hiding larimer?

Clearly...a TIME MACHINE!

What are we trying to achieve with BEOS?

- Making BitShares assets relevant and portable across the EOS universe.
- Making BitShares assets usable in BEOS smart contracts.
- Providing the ability to limit smart contracts to execute only in specified jurisdictions (space and international waters, for example)
- Creating a platform that businesses and institutional investors can trust to remain stable under good governance (not subject to political whims).

Good starting list.

Why is it necessary to create a new coin to communicate between 2 chains, thus creating a 3rd chain and coin to any already over populated ecosystem?

Smart contracts for Bitshares.

Bitshares portability to EOS chain.

Quintric portability to EOS based chains.

Blockchain-based gateways for cross chain portability for trading and xfers.

There are 4 reasons right there.

I am one of the Directors of the BLCA Non-Profit organization.

...skipped...

There is no ICO, no investment, no purchase necessary other than a one time fee of 500BTS per newly registered account on the BEOS chain.

500 BTS == $36

Ahah, no thanks  Grin
It's just an attempt to make some money on famous and successful blockchains: BitShares and EOS.
It absolutely has no chance.

Compared to the 3000 BTS fee for a lifetime account on the Bitshares chain, and the inability to have a custom short name on EOS chain without spending thousands of USD in auction, 500 BTS fee is a steal.

Also, it limits the amount of squatting and spamming, which is typical when you allow custom name reservation in any product or service.

And yes, recovering the costs of providing this valuable bridge service to the Bitshares & EOS community in the form of a fee for service would be a good idea for those that spent a year of their time and hundreds of thousands of their own dollars building it.

The fact that Bitshares will have the bridge to the EOSIO ecosystem is MASSIVE both for the Bitshares community but the EOS community. To have this established rich chain Bitshares to all of a sudden have smart contract, jurisdictionally settled transactions and free transactions are massive news and increase the viability of both chains.

Cheers.

OP, what exactly informed combining the names Bitshare and EOS and why not any other name?  Then are the two developers or team for the two coins part of your project?

You did read the Original Post, right?

Work is being done by Dan Notestein's software organization - well known for blocktrades.us and a member of the original BitShares dev team.

This is a project that honors BitShares holders who provided the DPOS technology that powers EOS and 90% of all other public blockchain transactions in the world (see Blocktivity.info).  It is not sponsored by block.one or EOS community, but it does bring BitShares assets over to EOS, tying the work of Dan Larimer together into one greater ecosystem.

Also this...

BitShares EOS (BEOS) is conceived as a middle chain sitting between BitShares and the EOS main chain. It will give smart contract capabilities to BitShares assets and make BitShares assets portable across the EOS domain. In its first release, however, it serves only as a way to get BEOS tokens delivered into the hands of participating BitShares supporters.

SCAM!!

The BitShares Decentralized Autonomous Community (DAC) has no relationship to neither BEOS nor EOS.

BitShares is controlled by the BTS Token Holders.

All official communications for the BitShares DAC are posted on the BitShares Foundation website: https://www.bitshares.foundation/

All official software is distributed on GitHub
https://github.com/bitshares/

The BitShares BTS Token Holders have voted for the official webiste to be https://bitshares.org
https://www.bitshares.foundation/workers/2018-10-bitshares-org

The BitShares BTS Token Holders elected an official and sole spokesperson and public face of BitShares:
https://www.bitshares.foundation/spokesperson

Even though your post is FUD and also not relevant to BEOS or this post, I will respond:

The spokesperson was unvoted and lost enough votes to not be funded prior to the WP expiring in Dec 2018. Therefore the spokesperson for Bitshares is no longer valid until another WP is voted in.

Nobody has represented this as a Bitshares project, in fact, it says explicitly in the Whitepaper and all documentation that EOS and Bitshares are not involved in BEOS creation.  That has been explicit from day one and has never been represented otherwise. The entire project was privately funded, and the increased portability of tokens across EOS - BEOS - Bitshares increases the utility of all chains involved. This project is a gift to the community as a whole and is not seeking any token purchase, or ICO.

All of your screaming seems to be in an attempt to lay false narratives and trails.

WARNING DO NOT SEND ANY BTS TO BEOS THAT YOU WANT BACK BEFORE RAINFALL STARTS ON APRIL 9TH. YOU'LL NEED SOME OF THAT RAINFALL TO POWER THE RETURN PATH.

Thanks for the fair warning, id rather keep my BTS Cheesy Why in the world i would want to exchange BTS for your worthless BEOS  Tongue

an old scammer trick in the book, Only a real fool would fall for this..

You are not exchanging your BTS for BEOS.

You stake your BTS and can unstake it at any time. It will always belong to you and is never exchanged for BEOS.

Everything is held on chain and can be verified at all times.

You get BEOS during the time you have your BTS staked.

Once you are done and BEOS is done with rainfall you can xfer your BTS and BEOS out of your wallet or anywhere you like.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I am one of the Directors of the BLCA Non-Profit organization.

I am here to answer questions you may have about BEOS and the impending rainfall beginning April 9th.

There will be an 89 day rainfall period of BEOS tokens, followed by an 80-week Ramfall (RAM Distribution).

There is no ICO, no investment, no purchase necessary other than a one time fee of 500BTS per newly registered account on the BEOS chain.

You can create custom names and short wallet addresses when registering on the BEOS network.

Cheers.
