For the first and very important, we must know if business at cryptocurrency is very risky. So if you want buy some altcoin, you can look at the website, there's a lot of market exchange you can get in. But for advice, please read carefully and before that, please looking for the information about that exchange site. In my experience, you can go to bittrex,poloniex,binance as long as i know they are good at security and service.

Consider what i monitoring at the market, i'll choose BTC and ETH of course, And for new coins i'll pick MONERO, XMR, IGNIS, NXT. That all i need to be my hold coins.

That depends what coin you will mining. Because every coins can be mining but there's a lot diff at every coins. And also depends hashrates of your total gpu. What as i know, for mining to day need more than 180 mh/s if you want more profit per month. But until to day i still mining ETH and siacoin, with total hashrates about 120-140 mh/s, not much profit but i can trading the coins.

Yes...yes...now time to buy ethereum. Ethereum price more increase than before. But remember always to be careful and wisely, because everything in crypto are nothing sure.

If you mean is about the prices, i think can not. But if its about value, that's maybe it can. Because ethereum until to day more growing up the value, the bitcoin getting smaller in value but more priceless.

NO, that's not joke. it's true. The market still growing up. But if you say about bitcoin, I think the price will go down again. Because today a lot investor especially middle investor, they are lot to take little coins for their investment.

For long term i still choose ETH than BTC. Because what i mention at the market, ETH still growing up. But BTC just steady. sometime down - sometime up. Beside that BTC limited coin, so someday it will gone, i think.

Frankly i have not bought any coin. But I am plan to buy monero and eth. Besides to day the price is still cheap, i think both coins have a good future. For now i still monitoring market to decide the best, because i don't have a lot capital. So i must be wise and be patient.

I am very curious about your question,what is your purpose of comparing btc with gold? . Because both of theme are different, i know both it same for investment, but there's different system. Okey i'll try to answer it. If i have a lot money i will choose gold. Because gold never end. But bitcoin maybe some day will end. That's if you compare gold with bitcoin.
